The new power economies of China, Taiwan, Korea and Brazil rose due to their own industry. They are not like Europe, the US and Spain which got rich off plundering other nation's gold in the past...

Of course we had a rich culture before, it just so happen our ancestors were god fearing people that the spaniards took advantage of this, stole and melted most of our gold. Thank god for Berto who discovered these, it put our ancestors back to being a civilized people and not savages as what some have suggested. Another thing also this proves that we have our own artistic ideas and not just copy from China, India, and Arabia. I'm so sick & tired of hearing people giving credit for these 3.

Yes thank God for Berto. But I think our ancient land was part of a bigger kingdom in Asia.

Know that the first form of religion was Hinduism which derived from India. So it is possible that our religion was Hinduism.

TRIVIA: Don't you ever wonder why our neighboring countries like Chinese, Malays, Arabs would travel far to trade with us prior to being colonized by Spain? It couldn't be spices when they do have it too in their land.
