Nice one! You can try paralleling some DC-link capacitors with the electrolytic for a higher peak current. Most electrolytic have incredibly high ESR.
@Uzzors2k Thanks, I got much better results than expected for this coil given the IGBT aren't the fastest. (FLG60N100BNTD) I think the resonant frequency is around 600KHz.
I have the same coil, and I must say... your sparks are much longer than what I'm getting... Very nice job, love the spun topload.
