  • drive long enough and sooner or later you gonna have a crash. no way around it.

  • ahhh i drove in that terrible snow that had in oklahoma this year on i-40 man oh man it was dry coming from amarillo tx and when i hit oklahoma city me and the rest of traffic were going like 25mph all way to arkansas state line lol pays to be safe

  • Just to answer everyones opinions who all think they know what happened...here you go.

Hector was my trainer here at USA trucks just the past 2 weeks. He is still here. He told me the story about the wreck and showed me this vid. He had been driving 3yrs prior to the wreck. It was 44k lbs., and he said someone pulled in front of him, and to keep from hitting 3-4 cars and killing them, he put it in the wall. This was done to save the others, not because he just couldn't drive safely.

  • similar thing happened to me in Wyoming just west of Cheyenne. My truck wasn't nearly as damaged, but it was still totaled. I had slipped on ice heading westbound on I-80. I had a load of books. Not a pallet had shifted though.

  • don't know i drove tanks 12years in western snow and never did that. perhaps its his first time in the white stuff- they may not have snow in Hecktors homeland

  • @robiscool11 tank, truck........ seriously . maybe you should take some of the cool you think you are. and warm up what you have left of common sense. i would bet it's really hard to wreck a tank in snow. WOW!......

  • Poor international 9400i.

  • Can't believe he looks totally unharmed in the video. Thank goodness for that!

  • @ratzskinakie USA Truck isn't a union company. That guy may actually get to keep his job, if he passes a drug/alcohol screen, undergoes some remedial training, and had a decent safety record prior to this accident.

  • When I first started driving a truck, I drove for that company. If the wreck happened in 08, they were getting ready to retire that truck anyway. Truck number 7744 would be an 04 or early 05 model. And yes, they love to hire newbies - move that freight cheap!

  • @TruckerRedbeard that truck is (or was) an '05. I too drove for that company when I started.

  • now I know why all the people were complaining about their welfare cheques being late that month!

  • Don't worry, the union will protect him, even if he was extreamly drunk.

  • @ratzskinakie how police whill proble keep his drive licens + some points on the licens and a money ticket his wholl year salie atleast thats how it works in holland + u have to show some people u can drive if not u lose the licens totaaly

  • @ratzskinakie very few truckers are union. unionising truckers is like giving music lessons to the beatles. you can doit but it would be pointless.

  • All the big companies are that way.... the one I worked for tried writing me up for a preventable accident because the wind blew the door out of my hand the one day. Didn't hit anyone else just bent the door right open. But some how the 60 mile an hour winds where my fault

  • non drivin hack

  • USA truck drivers are the best! Ask D.O.T

  • 44,000 lbs of mail??? Musta been junk mailers or something because I have NEVER seen a regular mail shipment weigh anything NEAR that much.

  • So that's where my letter went..

  • us driver dont know how to drive on snow canadian driver are the best for this leave this the pro

  • @orionmetal they cant drive worth a fuck and have respect for any one damn cunnok

  • @orionmetal I've known many UNqualified Canadian drivers, and many US driverS who can out pull Canadians. It's skill, and skill doesnt come from a location or "postal" code! Just as ignorance isn't limited to just YOU

  • we all know when we need to slow down, sometimes it's just too late.put down the pipe a lil sooner and it's all good!

  • well the inside looks nice and clean lol

  • CHECK THE LOGBOOK!

  • actually yes i have..

speed is irrelevant in cases where high winds heavy traffic an icy roads are also present.. all it takes to jacknife a rig is for a sudden crosswind, or a idiiot four wheeler to cut in front, and you can be 15 under the posted limits and still jack knife..

sounds like you're the one that needs to relax tuff guy.. the rest of us arent driving with our heads up our backsides.

  • if you look at the road, it was very icy and slick... you don't need to be going all that fast to start with, to jack knife a rig under those conditions.. so blaming him for speed w/o knowing the facts is ignorant.

  • booths should make stronger

  • there goes your career in OTR

  • pretty common for the green drivers that USA hires.Fresh out of driving school, they have to work for a company like this for a few years before they can get hired on to make any money anywhere, and by the way, mail doesnt weigh 45,000 lbs..I move it every day!

  • @Liljoe6276 yes it does 32000 to 48000isn't uncommon.

  • last week i jackknifed in NE on I80 right by elm creek mile marker 244 with 15,000 on the load i was very lucky compared to this guys truck i manged to pull my own truck out

  • too fast for driving conditions notice chains on drive tires i think he panic

  • I Bet that driver shyt his pants

  • No.. it's a USA trucking emblem not army far as i know anyways..

  • Jack-knives are NOT fun. Last summer I was driving a single axle tractor with an empty trailer. Another truck moved into my lane. I braked as soon as he started over, but when he hit me it knocked my front end loose and my trailer brakes just locked up. Jack-knifed, hit the center divider, slid 20 ft along the wall, rolled back across the freeway and crushed a car into the wall. Nobody got hurt aside from some bruises, but the truck and car were totaled. The other driver never even stopped.

  • mails gonna be late

  • he will be looking for a new job!

  • not necessarily, but it will make it hard to get another driving job if he decides to quit. USA truck will probably keep him unless he has too many accidents already. They know people make mistakes and it was snowy. Not sure why they won't hire other drivers though who had one. I had a minor one that resulted in no damage but a ferring pushed in, easily fixed and these big companies acted like I totaled the truck and a car.

  • I hear this alot especially on ripoffreport. Years of dedication for what a slap in the face for something silly?

  • Sorry about the thumbs down.I meant to thumbs up i just made the mistake.I couldnt agree with you more.

  • @studpuppy69

your comment? thats a swift stunt

  • @truckowneroperator i know what your saying, when i was in truck driver training one of the teachers was making a right turn and bumped a small snow pile and broke like 1 foot of the valance off the bumper. and they were doing an investigation of it, you woulda thought somebody got murdered

  • Wow Damm Lucky not to be hurt!

    Nice footage,

  • I hauled over 100 loads of US mail and was lucky to get a load over 10k.

  • name on the door says it all

  • USA Truck doesn't just put a star on the side of their trucks, they also place them behind the wheel.

  • this is what happens when you let a dispatcher drive a truck.

  • Driven truck for 7 years, could happen anytime anywhere.Snow is a bitch

  • Amen on that one.

  • he does have kids and if anyone knows how to get in touch with him his daughter would like to know.

  • frist thing mail dose not wight 44,000 it may wight 20,000 if you are luck this was just bad driving by a newbe

  • haha i hauled mail at 45,000 bls there buddy a full load from front to back top to bottom its now light

  • Ive hauled 45,000 LBS of mail as well, Just depends what u have... also had mail load wieghed only 12,800 lbs. soo all depends

  • USA USA USA USA 55 55 55 55 55 55

  • i feel bad even if it was his fault think about it if he trys to apply for another company nobody gonna hire him.he probably has kids and has bills u got to think about times like this cause it can happen to any body even if u have all the experience in the world

  • look at the truck am dead my ass

  • holy shit.

  • oh man no wonder my bills were late that one day! lol j/k

  • awsome.
