There was no bad mario kart game, though super circuit and double dash were my least favorites. Mario kart wii was great, but the DS version was in my opinion the best. I loved how there was so much content and a nice balance of skill and items. The battlemode was way better in DS than in wii.

Mario kart wii's best feature is the online, which is the only aspect where mario kart wii is better, but overrall the good design of DS made it better.

Mario kart 64 is my 2nd favorite though.

there is a trick to get past the pow block just shake the controler just as the final hit takes place you lose items but not speed you also only do a spinout animation without actually doing so but it can be dificult to master if you try it the first time

Lol, complaining about 150cc is only applicable if you really can't do it.... I hate it when people complain about the most difficult setting being "too difficult". IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE!!! Ugh.... I never struggle on 150cc so I really don't get what you're on about, besides in VS race you can toggle the difficulty of your opponents anyway so I really don't get why you're laying into that aspect so much. This game gets an easy 10/10 for me.

The Mario Kart DS Wi-Fi was horrible. 99% of the time, there will be hackers and people better than you. There has only been one time when I was with a normal racer. The Mario Kart Wii Wi-Fi is much better in that it lets you play Battle mode, it lets you play ALL of the racetracks and there is less hackers.

3. Mario Kart Double Dash (Awesome unique gameplay with double karts and special items)

2. Mario Kart 64 (classic, and well-balanced)

I´m a pretty hardcore mario kart fan but i have to say: the addition of bikes is horrible! Why? Because they are so much better than karts! And then there can be small stat changes depending on what character you use=everyone uses one bike and one character. Bowser Bike and Funky Kong.

@iNils1 I personally like the bikes in Mario Kart Wii. There are drawbacks to using a bike. When your using a bike, anyone who has a kart can be king of the road. They can EASILY nock you into some grass, bottomless pit, or some mud. Yes I know, the bikes are way better than karts. (I only used funky kong for 2/3 of the time trials for unlocking people like baby luigi and the Mii outfit B. Funky Kong and the flame runner gets soooooo boring.) That is my opinion.

They screwed up battle in this game. When you lose all your balloons in balloon battle, YOU COME BACK WITH 3 NEW ONES!!!! Coin Runners isn't that fun, and Nintendo even took out the coolest, funnest, and greatest battle of all, BOMB BATTLE!!!!

Yeah,the 150cc is a ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS. I always reset the game when I am on the brink of losing a perfect score. Luckly I passed on August 11,2010,the day of my friends birthday so I was REALLY happy I paased the entire Grand Prix and got all the cool stuff I needed. All because I LOVE using Baby Peach. She was a great help to me on this kart game. So this game is hard but fun for everyone to enjoy.

My only rant on MKWii is the cheap speed boosts. Automatic drift is a joke and they completely removed the competitive experience and replaced with cheap wheelie spam fest and the karts don't have a chance against some of the pro bikers out there. I mean I got 8000VR ,but I don't spam wheelies if the majority of them are kart racers because they can't get a constant speed boosts on the straight-away.

Other than that I enjoy this game a lot. I miss the hardcore races with snaking and PRB,on DS

You must be REALLY bad at this game, because i mean, this is one of my top favorite games for wii so im good at it, however, it is very easy to get good at. You say no protection? Use your items wisely, if your in first place, and you get a banana, dont just get rid of it, hold it for protection. If you are about to get hit by a blue shell, it usually happens because you are too far ahead, giving other players a chance. Lastly, for the POW block, just shake your wiimote. This game is EASY, 10/10
