  • Shaw was a bit of a bufoon, pseudointellectual, - ie. he preferred to be percieved as an intellectual, instead of using his intelligence for the purpose of enlightenment,

Joyce & Beckett make him look like a pulp fiction writer...

  • George Bernard Shaw was the Michael Moore of his day.

  • it seems to me that Shaw was being facetious.

  • The average person in the United States of America knows not of the difference between Socialism and Communism, infact the state encourages them to have an irrational fear of Socialism when most of them know nothing about it. It reminds me of George Orwell's '1984' ironically . . .

  • China, however has the largest foregin reserve surplus on this planet.. demographically there might be an imbalance, but in time to come they may jolly well be calling the shots whether we like it or not.Face it.we have no intentions to work 12 hour shifts in a meat packing factory or sweeping the streets of our neighbourhood..however there are others who would queue for this opportunity.Either we prevent immigration, which will ultimately make us look racist or we embrace globalization

  • "Im quite a kindly person, but just kill all the jews..."

  • @S0undBite Whle you are at it lets "use the children of the poor as food..."--- Johnatan Swift ------ its a satire my friend... a simple satire.

  • @thevisamaster There is a difference between satire and policy. not noticed every one of the other films of the Fabian society? They direct labour party policy. They basically backed Hitler before WW2.

This fucker here invented gassing the economically unfit.. Hitler perfected it.

  • From most of the moronic postings in response here (and likely the initial uploader), it is quite obvious that you simply DON'T GET IT - Shaw was ridiculing Mussolini, NOT praising him. Ever hear of "irony"? No, I didn't think so.. reserved, as it it is, for elitist intelligentsia and such, I suppose...

  • @eelalien Fabian socialist are wolves in sheeps clothing. He is telling Mussolini to wear sheeps clothing and appear nice while you suppress the people. He calls him an "amiable person" with a "good nature". This is not irony it is in your face scientific social engineering and it seems like it is working.. You are blinded by your own light.

  • For the information of the person responsible for writing the subtitles: Signor, not 'senior', Mussolini. Properly, in Italian, it should be Signore, but still...DUR!

  • Pai Mei!!!!!!

  • Fucking psychopath. A stain on Irish History. Fucking nutter should've been killed.

  • Part 3 (last one!)

Fabians were staunchly anti-fascist / 卐, founded on the principles of democratic socialism, with history of lobbying for things like an international minimum wage in 1906, for the creation of a universal health care system in 1911 (that is, basic human rights, which all civilized Country's support.)

Last true fact: the person who was most anti-Fabians before Hitler, was Leon Trotsky.

Unlike Fabians, the Axis powers were fundamentally anti— intellectual, and fear-mongering.

  • Part 2.

Mussolini's expulsion from the Socialist Party in 1914, radically, and forever changed Mussolini's political outlook.

He officially joined up with the Fascist Party right after armistice was signed, gave it new direction; working on his promise to create a movement that was nationalistic, anti-liberal and anti-socialist. By the early—1920s, he'd established a new stranglehold over Italy ... his Fascist politics was defined by: nationalism, corporatism, expansionism, etc.

    [cont'd...]

  • Part 1.

A few true facts , for you "critical thinking" independent researchers who clearly don't get your history spoon fed to you by raving lunatics . . .

First of all, once the Great War broke out in 1914, Mussolini became rapidly alienated from all forms of socialism. He was officially expelled from the Party in Italy...The fact that Mussolini came from a socialist background and worked for the Party newspapers from 1909—14 has no bearing on Benito the dictator.

    [cont'd...]

  • All your hair-brained right wing spoiled brats wouldn't know satire if it donkey punched you.

You history-rewriting cretins will lose. Shaw was a great artist and a great, compassionate and gentle man. Something you fascist pricks wouldn't no beans about.

  • Comment removed

  • Oswald Mosley!? That's the best you got!?!

His name was on a list of Fabians for 3 years. It was a career move. He turned fascist by 1931. Many Rightists dabble in liberalism before showing their real corporatist, imperialist selves.

Hell, look at tax-and-spend Ronald Reagan — he was an ardent liberal democrat until he met Lady Nancy 'Macbeth' Davis, then gradually was converted thanks to her extremely Right-wing upbringing via her stepfather, the fascist and anti-semitic Dr. Loyal Davis.

  • mussolini...

  • typical blabber of a mad man...

  • Sarcastic stupidity is the trademark of terrified people. It helps prolong insanity from setting in. But in the end....

  • Sounds like an interesting fellow. I wish that there's a big applebees in the sky where I can sit and have a discussion with Karl Marx, Hitler, Ayn Rand, Shaw, Nietzsche, Gahndi, Jesus, and Hemmingway. That darn Hemmingway is always shooting his mouth off though. I bet Nietzsche could nail Jesus on the most important points.

I had a dream where Karl Marx and Ayn Rand were fucking on top of a dilapidated IKEA desk. It was wondrous.

  • They kindly execute old people in the UK now. Ask Sarah Palin! lol

They should of executed this cunt at the first post.

  • This man - G.B. Shaw- just like John Steinbeck, Eric John Ernest Hobsbawm and Cambridge Five, supported Stalin's aggression against democratic Finland during the Finnish-Russo Winter War in 1939-40. He had nothing agaist what Stalin and NKVD did in Baltic countries in 1940.

He was one of the most shamefull western leftwing idiots on earth.

  • i swore he was irish?

  • It looks to me like Shaw was ridiculing Mussolini.

  • @impCaesarAvg Contraire. He backed those cunts.

  • Some intellectual midgets might not recognized comic irony when it presents itself. Not surprised, they follow the shallow thought of their demagogic leaders without thinking for themselves. Tsk, tsk.

  • Chesterton and he debated quite a bit. Intellectually they were enemies but t they were the best of friends.

  • this guy is so creepy...

  • This piece of human garbage is describing what has come to be known as smiley-faced facism... Isn't the left great?

  • What an asshole. He probably voted for Obama.

  • Progressivism grew out of this. Woodrow Wilson, Hitler, Mussolini, Sanger and Stalin all admired the Fabians.

  • @Okwaho57 Wilson cant compare to Mussolini, Hitler, Sanger, and Stalin's genius. (now watch teh trolls start with their curse words...)

  • twisted warped egomaniacal SOB. Who died and made him ... ? What is his accent? Irish?

  • I know of an accupunturist who is jewish . he clains to be a progressive ( like I have always stated the jews put hitler in office to there demise. and today we are allowing some half bread welfare case to run our country into the hands of the likes of this man

  • In this video, the famous playwrite, George Bernard Shaw, refers to Mussolini as a "Most amiable man" and one with a "kindly nature".

  • @sgratelle Don't say that to Ethiopians.

  • shaw was a mediocre writer who should have been put to death according to his "principles"

  • stinking lousy socialist, bullet in the brain and let it drain....like all socialists/liberals/control freaks

  • Typical clown who has to enter the world of sarcasm as a defense mechanism to escape from reality.

  • A George Bernard Shaw video shows him doing the stiff-armed salute of Mussolini (from 1927 or 1928 Fox Movietone Newsreel). Shaw, being British, might not have realized that at that time Americans (whom he is speaking to in the film) performed the Pledge of Allegiance (written by a socialist) using the "Nazi salute" or Mussolini gesture and that the USA's Pledge was the origin of the Nazi salute. See the work of the historian Dr. Rex Curry (author of "Pledge of Allegiance Secrets").

  • @news2journalism Shaw made Britain his home but was Irish not British. Born in Dublin I believe. A small detail but a fact that anybody prone to prejudices should know. Thumbs up to your post anyway.

  • He is clearly being sarcastic.

  • @xpswebstar420

    And you are clearly delusional.

  • may he rot in hell for eternity.

  • Ask those that Mussolini killed how nice he was!

  • no liberal/progressive will ever admit to being in lock-step with Hitler/PolPot/Mao/Stalin.....but every single

"ism" of the 20th century has the blood of hundreds of millions soaked into their ideology and it is well documented....Shaw and Sanger and FDR are no exceptions

  • @divanola you're absolutely right diva and so does Obama and the entire US government at this point. Exception of our military.

  • @divanola True.

  • I think it hilarious that the Fabian Socialist and Progressives have gotten so arrogant that they don't even try to hide their Mussolini hearts. I'm certain Shaw is basting in the old folks home section of hell.

  • Awarding him the Nobel Peace Prize is a total joke, and makes the award a joke for all who received it after him.

  • @austinl01 So you're saying Obama's a joke then? Well that makes total sense.

  • Shame on you

  • He can "put it on and take it off and do all sorts of things" (surely he IS SUPERMAN) This man is a psychopathic crazy old coot. There really is no point in reading into the deeper meanings and attributing some great message to this aristocratic douche.

  • You are totally wrong. This is exactly how the progressive ideology is. It boils down to total control, eugenics, and redistribution of wealth and confiscation of private property. They know what's best for us.

  • LOL

  • yeah rite

  • false. Shaw was a died in the wool pinko, with no regard for individual human life.

  • He sounds like all the liberals around my area.

These types of people want to control and kill others.

They are intellectual psychopaths that don't have the guts to pull the trigger themselves.

  • @sublimetrance

Shaw didn't want to control people, he wanted a better world. Nobody listened to him, so he 'praised' other dictators for having the power to GET THINGS DONE. Shaw didn't support inhumanity.

And another thing: It doesn't take guts to pull the trigger of a gun or otherwise spread evil. It takes guts to spread the good message to the people of the world your whole life, as Shaw did.

Looks like you've been gaming too much COD... read a book/play by Shaw. It'd do you some good.

  • @Ratherdashing93 Thank you for proving my point. He wanted a "better world" in HIS vision of how the world should be. And if you did not live up to his vision, then you should be "kindly executed". Not my words. His!

    Spread the word indeed.

Looks like I have been gaming too much? Pfft... My only mistake is taking people like Bernard Shaw at his word.

Like I said before, Shaw sounds a lot like the liberals in my area.

  • @sublimetrance

You obviously don't know Shaw or his work.

    It's satire.

    You've been duped.

  • @sublimetrance

"hese types of people want to control and kill others.

Nah, but it's clear you would "kill or control "me if you could.

"They are intellectual psychopaths that don't have the guts to pull the trigger themselves"

What an apt description of yourself.

  • @Remembermylai ... says, while looking in the mirror.

  • Obama

  • inbred sick psychpath....

so these are the heroes of the people who are governing us....

he got the nobel price too....

    sick nwo !

  • @infokriegerBerlin

Shaw got the nobel prize for having a literary output rivalling that of Shakespeare or any other writer in history, with books and plays that were thought-provoking AND entertaining.

If only everything/everyone in life was like that, no?

    ...Some people just prefer name-calling.

Well, Shaw was not inbred at all; he was sound of mind his entire life, if not sound of body; and he was a very kindly person, if you didn't know.

...Plus, he knew how to properly read and write.

  • @Ratherdashing93

Satire. You missed it. Shaw did not support Mussolini.

  • @infokriegerBerlin

You have it 100% backwards, Fritz... take Alex Jones's "Infowars" staff-of-lies out of your mouth for a moment & try to process this: The Fabian Society were mainly artists and intellectuals.

Far from the inbred ruling classes we have now.

He received the Nobel Prize in Literature, quite rightly, as he's the finest playwright of the 20th Century.

If you and sublimetrance knew of culture outside of MMA fighting and hysterical conspiracy nutjobs, you'd know that already.

  • @FungusMossGnosis

i am sorry... but you got it totally wrong!

u need much more research, 2 get your facts straight...to understand whats behind the fs!

not everybody has the ability to be awaken...

  • @infokriegerBerlin Well you first have to understand how he got the nobel... It was a satire my friend... a satire.

  • @thevisamaster

The Fabian society is a political think tank. There is no satire. It was his belief as a Marxist.

  • @m1aws True Marxisism advocates placing every job to each and other's ability.Be it a lawyer to the station porter. Nobody is supposed to die.Shaw's main objective of this diatribe it to create an uproar.with that, there will be discourse..with that there will HOPEFULLY be solutions. It IS supposed to be offensive,it is like in Youtube.to upload an idealistic thesis will not get as many hits as an outragous satiric statement. Shaw did not mind being the bad guy this time so as he passed the idea

  • @thevisamaster Stop making stupid excuses. This film is not a one off. Neither was his beliefs. That is why he was founder member of The Fabian Society who's rules, idea's and schemes are very well documented indeed.

you have no excuse attempting to up this guy.

  • @m1aws Probably so..However, his works do not actually support the view that you accuse.Eugenics was the caption of the later part of his works. That was a time of great changes of world politics and ideas. Many mistook his commentry to coincide with those of Hitler, this irishman have made a satiric statement so much that it makes a mockery of what he is saying.Read his past work and you would realise his stand."Shaw is and always be a master of disguises" it is up to us to uncover his mysteries

  • @thevisamaster Masters of disguise have a lot to hide.

Coinciding with Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, (all Socialists). Telling the US they would be better off without their constitution and Bill of Rights. Sure, the whole of the political world is in flux when change is possible. Political change from the left never improves things.

Yes, he was Irish; despised Britain.

The left have some sort of lemming influence and rarely see the irony when they accuse others for what they hate in themselves.

  • @m1aws What shaw was trying to instigate, is that the AMERICAN bill of rights and constituation is being abused.. it has faults. IF.. the constituation could not be more precise it would always be through the interpretitions of those who will suit themselves well.

  • @thevisamaster Hwe never stated that. You want abuse? Have a look at what they are trying to get away with today. The worst abuse is not teaching people what it is about... Like the English Bill of Rights. Your sort say it does not exist.

  • @m1aws beg to differ mate, the english Bill of rights has always been ther for anyone who could be bothered to look it up. and who exactally are you refering to as "they" today? Walter Croncrite's commentry on the Tet offensive? Edgar Snow on the Long March? or the CNN on Libia? "My sort" analyses and study before forming an opinion instead of pimping the whares of pub talk banter..

  • @thevisamaster They used to state all the time "we ought to have a Bill of Rights". Now its off the menu since Hitlers dream of a one Europe has come to fruition.

When I hear the left banter, its brain dead chants and tripping themselves up on simple logic. They say you have to beware for what you wish for.

  • @m1aws The left, as you call it is never a full bodied one mind, "NO nonsence" think tank.. it is made up of factions and point of views, you could not look at Mao or Stalin and say that is Communism.Reaistically, ultimate Marxism, due to human nature, is impossible, but ultimate democracy, because of the same very reasons is not achieveable as wel aint it mate?

  • @thevisamaster Apart from the wrongs of empire building. The "left" in the world have all been guilty of the worst and most excessive human atrocities and the most hard line central control systems. You'd think they all read the same instruction manual.

Libertarianism (ultimate individual freedoms and choice) and Left wing ideals are an anathema. I would never want a psychopath like GB Shaw or any of his acolytes dictating life policy to me.

  • @m1aws I see where you are knockin about..but where is YOUR position on wher the "left" is? Osama left (extreme left) Zhiang Zemin's(moderate left) or Democrat Osama's left?, know what I mean? Hit on a definate argument point and probably we could have a discourse. We do not have the privilege to meet at the local versity pub and argue, However, lets establish, from your point of view who the "Left" is(in your point of view) then i think this will get a little intersting.

  • @thevisamaster Obama is a puppet. you will notice no change from the previous incumbent. No answers to creating public debt, wars, increasing tax, reducing VFM from tax. What they appear to give, i.e. public health for all is a contract to own the human being not unlike they use on us here in the EU.

The "left" as I called them have adopted the "free market" and Corporatism - Fascism both with company structures down to owning the corporal person; the human being.

    I despise them all.

  • @m1aws Now you've got to be fair..the healthcare system is probably bankrupting the EU right now.. hang on a minute, isnt universal healthcare a socialist ideal? In thr free market context you would probably have to pay 500 quid to have a wisdom tooth extracted!

  • @thevisamaster Health Bankrupting the people... EXACTLY!! Socialist ideal? EXACTLY!! In an open market with real and proper Gov't control on fair trading... There will be competition. That means value for money which in turn holds inflation down... etc. etc.

  • @m1aws Healthcare is going to be the next "billionaire maker" since the dot com bubble! why? Cos of MAN's desire to live! That is why governments of any means wants to get on the bandwagon...Making it a government policy means having a free ride to use national reserves to invest into this venture.Man woud give anything to live 10, 20,50 years more. It is good business, Now we've got the demand, government's money is going to discover the supply.

  • @thevisamaster You are drawing me off topic here.

The health care system offers no cures, only treatments. Gov'ts are deliberately sleepwalking over parts of this due to being corrupt.

Most old people don't live, they exist. In the UK, all the poor oldies that have no collateral, usually with alzheimers etc. are opiated to death. I know several who died this way. Which is purely a Fabian ideal.

  • @m1aws No I think it makes economic sence for a proper organizaiton to pool in resources to combat a fledging battle. "the graying nation" will be reaching a crisis level in 40 years time in New zealand. The state with its projected resources could not possibly sustain this burden. The only way is through investment in ongoing research and using this money to push FDA approval in pending medical trials. That way we all benifit wont we? in the end this will be a socialist ideal.

  • @thevisamaster Only if those who want it have paid for it complete, as a whole or their kids will be paying for them and themselves. This crisis is here now in the UK with debts in the tri££ions. When the banks and bond markets call in their debts, the country will come under a new ownership. Slavouring?

Live longer to work longer? Ha! not me. I won't play selfish. Die healthy.

Who wipes out the debt? I will tell you. The losers and the takers.

  • @m1aws In a cynical viewpoint, the winners (for now is China) and the losers? Well the bloody rest of us! But frankly we had it good for the past decade or so havn't we? Lots of jobs on e papers, don want to do "dirty jobs",(a factory would be fine as long as i am in management)now we are in a slumps then what? Go on the dole and bitch about the government?Answers my friend we need the answers to remain relevant in the global village. We need a new industry to prop the economy.

  • @thevisamaster China has it worse. They are allowed one child unless they have twins. So the demographic bomb will be worse.

"Dirty jobs" is a media lie to employ cheap foreign slave labour. All they do is export cash and short work so claim taxes back. A loss leader.

People will get clever once false riches have stopped and they get hungry again.

    Proving Fabians wrong again.

  • Sick bastard.

  • This man is clearly insane, like all of the sociopaths that seek to control us.

  • "If you can't get rid of the skeleton in your closet, you'd best teach it to dance."

    - George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950)

  • er... wasn't Mussolini bald?

did i miss this fabulous haircut of his?

ps- i had no idea GBS was so batshit crazy
