@jusuttajah I'm getting the same error as davisfactor, though I installed gapps when I installed the cyanogen mod but I can not sync my gmail account due to a unable to open connection to server error. Been trying to find an answer but I haven't as of yet.

***just my opinion*** Instead of spending countless hours trying to root your nook (like me) especially if your a novice at rooting (like me)...just buy an HTC Flyer for $50 more than the nook (that's what i wish i've done)...and have a real android tablet that's stable and fast...

p.s. i'll trade you my nook color for an HTC Flyer...LOL

But Jailbreaking is the same as rooting, You could install themes, apps that don't pass Apple's Nazi app reviews, make the iPod/iPad/iPhone like YOU want it, just like Rooting on Android
