  • "I, State you name."

    "I, iejfaoijedfijgjreb."

  • cant wait to join in rotc!

  • they*

  • These guys are probally 1st LTs or CPTs looking at the time this video was uploaded.

  • @McDogginified is it really that easy to get promoted?

  • @itinkgirlzhot12 Ya it doesen't take long to get 1st LT or Cpt. It takes about 1-2 years to get to 1st LT and about 4 or 5 years to get to Cpt. Thats the easy part lol. The hard part is getting to Major, which is like 10 years lmao.

  • hey im thinking of commissioning as an officer, but i dont think graduating college makes me better or hihger rank then an enlisted soldier. arent the enlisted soldiers the one with more experience

  • @xxbuboyxx They both have the same training basically.

  • @xxbuboyxx Experience yes. But they don't have te capability to lead a platoon, a Company a Battalion etc etc, in a tough diffulcult enviroment. Not all NCOs are good leaders. And besides, The Officer has all the Intel, all the information to get the job done. The NCO doesen't. The Officer informs them about the mission. Then thats where the NCO leadership comes in. No Officer means a unorganized crap military. No NCO means a undiscipline, untrained Military. Both have there roles.

  • @McDogginified

The NCOs are the backbone of the military. The work for a living...

  • @seria1117 Like I said, Both have their roles.

  • @McDogginified actually, the number of times in which an NCO has had to take over a Platoon as a result of a dead CO, is actually high, especially in WWI and WWII, as well as Vietnam... Them gunny's take over when their Lt. goes down, and actually most NCOs are more experienced than COs, the NCOs are usually XOs, who in fact are the officer's "Secretary" if you will, and who receive and RELAY all the intel and information to the officer so the officer can brief the men

  • @lgmmrm True. NCOS are more active then COs. But we do alot paper work. Officers are leaders, organizers, strategists, and managers whose duties entail ENORMOUS responsibilities. Our jobs are to lead and bring the enlistees home to their wives/husband, gfs/bfs, and children. If a Lt or Cpt does bad on his or her assignment. hes going to hear it from his or hers CO behind the scenes. But yes NCOs are the jack of all trades. The Military created NCOS for a reason.

  • these are ROTC cadets being sworn in, or direct commissioned officers?

  • @kuhleskind I'm not in college yet (but i'm planning on taking ROTC) These are probably ROTC cadets.

  • @kuhleskind it doesnt matter. probably a mixture. this is ocs where they are all pooled in for screening

  • To become an officer, does one have to go through West Point?

  • @DarkFuryPunisher

Not necessarily. You can join an ROTC program in more than 600 colleges.

  • @IlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIIlI But if one does go through WestPoint, does that mean they are somewhat better? I heard WP is like an Ivy League school, but for Military. IDK...

  • @DarkFuryPunisher WP looks good on your ORB and thats about it. It really doesn't mean anything for promotion and whatnot. I knew a Captain that went to WP and was a captain for nearly 8 years without promotion. He was in my unit, infantry, and also a ranger.

  • 2 more semesters to go!!!! cant wait to go to OCS!!

  • i hope that someday i will be swearing the same oath

  • very excited arnt they

  • Yeppers. Shined that cannon many years ago. Right in front of Wigle Hall.

  • I'll probably be there in a year.

  • 3 more years and I'm there! hooah!

  • HOOAH! Grats on the butter bar rank guys! :)

  • Ah yes... the old cannon.. I spent hours shining that thing at OCS.

  • Patriot and Liberal? You don't know the meaning of either.

  • i'm jealous.....i wish i could do that!

  • one of the greatest days of my life. Its all down hill after this LT's

  • why do you say that?

  • why do I say what?

  • you said it's all down hill after that, why's that?

  • Guess you gotta be a LT to understand.

  • I just watched the commission ceremony during the Cal game here...May God bless you all. Hooah from Golden Bear Battalion

  • I am an Officer, and I am a liberal. I am a Son of the American Revolution, and I am also a member of the Son's of Confederate Veterans. Last time I checked being a Patriot is not about left or right but loving the USA.

    HOOAH!

  • True that

  • @bamadawgsc Can't blame 'em.....Liberals are NOTORIOUS for being anti American/Government. Just know that you are on the same side as the hippies and Michael Moore's anti American ass.

  • @bamadawgsc Hooah man so, even though I dont agree with a liberal thank you for serving an being a paitriot.

  • LOL you are a nightmare

  • educated aren't you? Learn some facts before you go spouting your left wing lunacies

  • knightmare, you will never join the military because you are a coward with no conviction other than liberal rhetoric. Spineless loser.

  • AMEN
