FANTASTIC VIDEOS, LOVE THE EZ-LEVEL SYSTEM, LOOKS GREAT...BUT OUT OF CURIOSITY, WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU WEAR GLOVES WHEN OPERATING A TABLE SAW, OR ANY SAW ???.......GRANTED THE BLADE IS LOW, BUT THATS A BAD HABIT TO BE IN WHEN USING ANY SAW IN MY BOOK.....GET TOO CLOSE TO A BLADE AND IT WILL SUCK YOUR HAND RIGHT IN, TRUST ME, I KNOW........LOVE THE VIDS, KEEP UP THE PRO JOB !!!
Another thing you could use is a cabinet jack to help raise your uppers up especially when you screw them together before they go up. I'm surprised you didn't use your fein tool to cut the shims off. Fein tool is worth it's weight in gold in my truck. Those Stain Markers really come in handy we use them almost daily. Great work
The absolute best way to install your cabinets. There are people who have videos that do not show or teach you anything. This video series is the most informative out there. Why would you trust your granite counter-tops to rest on shims?
at 3:02 how the heck are you going to completely seal that vent flange? I've taken apart one that was sloppily affixed, and after 10 years of heavy cooking there was lots of oil along the joists from the leak (since most vents "push"). I mean it was bad. Food for pests, not to mention what could happen from a stove fire; think of all the moisture from boiling water/soups too over the years.
But nice video, just wondering how you taped that up without getting to the outside of it)
@TheRealShadowspawn I agree. I've done alot of tin and the only way to tape that off is to get behind the vent. The only way to get behind the vent is to take out more rock. He also said he taped it on the inside which is not recommended. Foil tape shouldn't be exposed to the air stream. That said, I love this guy. I use his product where neccessary and he taught me a great deal about his cabinet installation.

I loved the series of video part 1 - 4. They have it down to a simple science. Probably one of the best installation videos I have seen.

That's why you should own your own tools, not use your employers cheapo crap.

This is totally awesome! I really love the step-by-step work and pointers.

Why do you guys use cheapo Ryobi drills? :)
MrEmperor79 1 year ago
@MrEmperor79 Probably cause they are cheap and employees beat on / lose tools often. Ryobi impact drills are surprisingly good value.
