You can still tune the UK FM 40 channel odd offset CB allocation with this radio. I've heard UK FM 40 ch. CB chatter via skywave skip in the United States. Tune the radio like so: For UK FM CB channel 40, which is 27.99125 MHz, set the radio to 27.991 MHz and turn the clarifier control knob to about the 3 o'clock position. Set the radio to FM mode and you're done.
hi thanks for that what i mean is you cant get the full frequency in on uk band to be spot on as you missing couple digits but its next to nothing so probs wont make much difference to be honest
can anyone show me this radio working on uk fm channels just wondered what it was like tx rx with not having the .25 on end of display or atleast the .2 be better with an extra digit on freq i know its not far off but still you cant get it bang on.
can you tell me what the 257 is like on rx-tx on the uk 40 fm channels ? just wondered as you cant get the .25 on end of frequency as only got three digits does it make much difference not having the .25 tnx.
OneCoolPr- in answer to your q without propagation well that depends on many factors such as what radio antenna you are using how much power you are using what your location is ie how high you are above ground etc so many different factors to take in to account think about it !

Next time there is some prop on the UK CB band i will make a short video. The 257 works fine on the UK CB band even although it's not a CB radio.

Last time i knew 27.555 was what they call "Free Band" you can catch me anytime on the "triple 5"
