great job guys!!! I just wanted to ask how did u learn the solo, like when you improvise something do you have to know what key something is in because i know all my major pentatonic scales and was wondering how to solo in general, please hollar at me with an answer

@WVHERO115 ... we both learned the solo from tabs (I know some people hate tabs, but I don't have the time to sit around and pick notes out 1 by 1 LOL). In terms of improvising, the simplest way is to play notes from the scale(s) that correspond to the chords being played. Ideally, you want to be paying attention to each chord being played, and try to work off of that (as opposed to simply playing in scales). However, that can be challenging, particularly when chords are going by quick.

Wow that is really cool - nice job by both of you. Dig the reverse color EVH paint job too! How did you get these tracks to vid with such a clean sound and the split screen and all? I have tried just rolling it live but it sounds like crap that way... have seen many videos that sound like both the backing track and the live guitar are run through a mixer to vid somehow.

Thanks for the nice words Jim, on my main page (in the left column) I give a brief detail of my process. Basically I use Sony Vegas Movie Maker to mix audio and video (and do the split screen). I am also recording directly into the computer. The version of Vegas I have costs ~$100 USD.

LOL thanks bro! The only effects I used here on my parts were a little delay for the leads and a little reverb throughout. The delay was a Digitech pedal and the reverb was an effect built-in the movie-making software. As for the distortion, it's always the built-in distortion from the amp. :)
