We need to untax work (business & labour) and tax economic rent (the unearned increment which our modern aristocrats earn in their sleep) The point being to bring prices in line with the cost of production. Infrastructure should be used not to make a profit but to reduce the cost of doing business, thus making the country efficient and competitive. This was the platform of classical economists from the Physiocrats through Smith, Ricardo and the progressive era.

Because the poor rightly perceive that Liberals despise them & their culture. Liberals long ago abandoned the working class in favour of their Wall Street backers.
