  • anyone knoe if this song is in public domain?

  • Definitely one of the best anti-drug films I've seen. The interviews were hard hitting. The lady talking about life insurance was especially blunt but truthful. Thanks for posting this!

  • God damnit I love the blues, pierces my soul. Freaking ridiculous.

  • i just saw this on tv. so i googled it. it tripped me out. im too young for this era, (born in 71') but my dad and my family lived thiS. this was a "time filler "on turner classic movies channel

  • Actually, TCM does this cool "TCM Underground" late night on Fridays, where in between great, rare cult films, they show cool, lost old PSAs and educational films like this. It's so great!

  • The composer is on the credits. Off the top of my head it's Henry Holt or Harry Holt. It's an amazing song.

    DP

  • yeah it sez, "harry holt" cant find any other music tho... but wow.

  • Great video and song.. btw, anyone knows the name of the music?

    tks =)

  • That song is creepy....I don't think one could

present the reality of Heroin addiction any

better then this. it's slavery...it's a cruel life..

  • I guess were seeing how Frank Lucas and Nicky Barnes got rich.

  • WOW 1 TIME AGAIN PRICELESS

  • yeah now a days they seem to just try to stop kids from smoking weed when there are much more serious drugs out there

  • Damn..

This is timeless and, unlike most educational films of that era, it was real. This should still be shown today. Scary shit.

  • thanks so much for posting this - great score!

  • Just watched this again. Wow!

  • Crikey! Where did you get this?!

I feel like I missed so much by missing the 70s. Everything today seems just so smoothed over and polished, with no hard edges.

This is so much better than the dumb "just say no" type ads.

  • This is definitely not typical of the anti-drug films from the 70's. They're usually more Reefer Madness-y or positioning some "with it" cat engaging in some straight talk with real live teens. I will be putting up a good LSD film pretty soon that is more like the latter.
