  • I hate how Cubans speak Spanish. The sound like their tongues are swollen.

  • • To those of you who have no side on Cuba; If you are a freedom loving person then you may read all the lies about Cuba and believed them. I would ask that you please don't. I have visited the Island several times. There I found what the nature of freedom is: You can't have the freedom "to" if you don't have the freedom "from". You want to do whatever, say whatever, and explore whatever you want. But it's hard to do that if you're not free from hunger, disease, injury and ignorance (continued..

  • • ...Thats is one of the goals of socialism. To take the value created by industries in any given nation and put to collective use for all in said same nation such as food rationing, free medical care, and free schools (at all levels). For if a person is homeless, hungry, injured, contracted pneumonia, and is uneducated then what good is the freedom "to"? This is exactly what Cuba is trying to achieve. The problem is the embargo. It's putting the building of socialism through a hindered pace.

  • Fidel is not a dictator. Dictators don't teach the poor literacy. Dictators don't arm the people from the threat of invasion. Dictators don't provide free medical care. Dictators don't ration the food products among the people. Dictators don't cut off diplomatic ties with Israel over the mistreatment of Palestinians. Dictators don't organize teams of doctors to go and provide free medical care to the poor in third world countries. If Castro is a Dictator then he is the strangest one there is.

  • @rednemesis88 too bad most of the people have been brainwashed and can't see what you see my friend.

  • @josapology Brainwashed? Obviously you havent lived there whats your nationality i would love to talk to you personally, so you learn a few things about Cuba.

  • @lorenzo1524 you are denying the embargo , my friend. i wont talk with a person who denies reality.

i won't say that Cuba is perfect but you can blame it all to socialism.

i'm sorry 'bout your grand father tho.

if castro is so bad is his fault , not socialim.

btw im from a little country called el salvador and you know what ? we live the exact situations that you lived in cuba everyday, except that you wont get killed in cuba in the way to your work.

    and you know what else??

    continue......

  • @lorenzo1524 we are not Socialists. we are Capitalists. we even have the dollar as our currency "money".

salaries are still low even tho everything went up when "dollarization " came.

if you think this is the worst thing ever. we were even more fucked in the 70's but you know who fought for our country to stop all the bigotry and dictatorship from our "goverment" : THE SOCIALISTS!!!

so yeah , it's not the idea that is wrong , it's the people in power who make it look wrong.

  • @josapology If you like it so much why dont you go live over there see how you like it. I will laugh when you see how your socialism does not work. It didnt work in Russia, on half of Germany or Rumania. It didnt work or Cuba thats why it looks like it has been bombed. And all that people tell you when you go is "i want to leave!". You need some research my friend.

  • @rednemesis88 Hey my friend by reading your comments i see you have not been to Cuba and if u did you dont know how the system works. My grandfather died thanks to Cuba, because there was no Goddam oxygen in a hospital, my grandmother is about to die now because Fidel sent all the doctors to Chavez, now the country is out of doctors. If you love Socialism so much why dont you go and live there, lets see how you like it. How you like been TOLD WHAT TO EAT WHEN AND WHERE. Continues...

  • @rednemesis88 How you like to have only 3 channels on your TV all talking about Socialism. Hospitals that dont even have basic medicines. To lose electricity and have only 4 hours a day of light on summers. I would love to see you not taking a shower because in Cuba you only receive water to shower or certain days. I would love to see you then. There is NO EMBARGO, why because there are American Products in Cuba. Please Socilist get some information, and if you like it so much go live in that ..

  • @rednemesis88 Country who dies everyday, Havana, or its new name (The city most Fucked up by time). You are the one who believes Castros lies, Embargo. you make me laugh...

  • @lorenzo1524 The US has admitted the embargo. A some years ago a French company got fined by the US for trying to set up a cellphone system there. There is an embargo and it is illegal according to international law. I want to live in Cuba but she doesn't need another mouth to feed. I'm sorry about your grandad but the US killed him through the embargo- not Castro. I know that things are tough in Cuba. I've been there. But the Cubans put alot of value on their integrity. They will never sell-out

  • @rednemesis88 Im sorry but your comment is insulting to most Cubans please dont come to miami and say that you will get slapped a few times. Just keep it to yourself. Thanks

  • @rednemesis88 thats silly a french company is not under usa law so could set up business deals with cuba anytime it wanted. and tell the usa to fuck off

  • People often mention U.S interest on Cuba. Theres no way U.S wants Cuba, there are no reasons for U.S to want Cuba, what would be a reason ? tourism? not even a baby would think that, since the government is not benefitting from it why would they do it. If tomorrow Cuba was to said they they found a very very large amount of petroleum, believe me the Castros are going down. Its all about the interest and it makes sense, its not about freedom.

  • You heard it and it is not only from Cuba, it is from around the world.

  • There is not an embargo from U.S to Cuba there has never been one, i know most of you never lived there but its worst than anything. This peple didnt really mean to say that but if they said something against the government in this video they will go to prison like it has happened before. By the way this is way too long to be explained.

  • @lorenzo1524 YOU ARE DAMN RIGHT. ALL THIS BULLSHIT IS CREATE BY TH CASTRO'S DICTATORSHIP. THE CASTRO'S APARTHEID. USA IS THE ENVY COUNTRY IN ALL THE WORLD. I TRAVELING WHOLE LOT & IS NO PLACE LIKE USA. I HAVE BUSINESS HERE, SOMETHING THAT IN CUBA EVER NEVER HAD. IM BLACK & IM FEEL PROUD TO LIVE HERE. BESIDE NO COUNTRY IS PERFECT. EVERYTHING IS ABOUT POWER & MONEY EVERYWHERE. YOU HAVE TO BE STRONG, & SURVIVE, BUT NOT IN CUBA. THAT DYNASTY HAVE TO GO. IBORU IBOLLA IBOSHESHE.

  • PS Alot of time they say "give", it means Lend. so many Ams should truely check that out. and US will lend with High Interest rates, that can be impossible to return on. Secondly. Like Haiti you give them money, but then they Pay The US to be a foreign non efectice melitioa in your country. So lets not make all of US, giving something equal a no taking something. US gave Haiti money supposedly. then with help it for 3 years under a democratically elect leader so he can lower tariff on US goods

  • Notice the US will not make Cuba a state, or Haiti or any other nation. They want to Have an Economic Imperialim as in Haiti, where people weork in factories to Benifit NAfta for 1.50. and Hour with no right no minimum wage. Pilage the land of it's natural resources for US Interest not Cuba's Of Haiti. Left us Clariify that the meaning of Being a sovereign nation is to look out for your own interest. All US initiative have a net gain. So why do we punish others looking out for theirs.

  • I say if you have not gone to cuba within the last 5 years, don't comment on how bad it is. Frankly all countries have bad things in them and hardship. What should be discusses is If cuba is better off as it is or under US dominance.. Why does US accept to trade with China, they are comunist. It is because they are so many, that they Have to provide cheap labor. The US really want to control Cuba and treat it like HAiti dictacting who is allowed president, impilenting their own meltitia

  • @cvzdez Bro i wish, i just wish that Cuba would be like Puerto Rico, by the way U.S does not control haiti, i dont know where you got that from.

  • @cvzdez Lol US would never want Cuba under then, we dont want to feed another country, we already want to get rid of Puerto Rico just cant, believe me theres no way. US controls Haiti? since when>?since u made it up?

  • Not to mention US strong arms other nations into following it's embargo policies. especially the small ones and The caribiean would survive well if the trades amonst each other. But Us threatens the other caricom nations

  • Us uses embargo to get small countries to force them into US Capitalist control, cheap labor, cheap resources, and low standards that equal cheap goods in the Us. They do it with Haiti. and try and do it to smaller soverieng nations. Why don't they embargo Isreal for building settlments in the GAza stripp? Pick and choosing is Hypocritical

  • Beautiful Havana, I miss you and the lovely Cuban people!!!!

  • @vova47 THANKS. BUT I BELIEVE THAT YOU NOT INCLUDE THE CASTRO'S DICTATORSHIP.

  • Embargo is an act of Terrorism

  • Fuck Postcard to U.S. President .

  • Cuba, who had the number one economy in Latin America when Castro took over is now dead last. It's falling apart, the buildings, the cars, the people are starving and have no private property, nothing. No free speech, No freedom to leave the Island, No free Press, but they like Obama. SCARY. I'd rather have private property, free speech, food, medicine, freedom and no Obama, no Thank You. Send him to the Island Prison if they like him so much.

  • @supernaturel1 Is called USA embargo.

  • Comment removed

  • @supernaturel1 THEY DON'T STARVE IN CUBA....IN THE "CIVILISED" WEST THE PEOPLE DO STARVE...AT LEAST THEY HAVE THE BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS FOR FREE AS FOOD, HEALTH AND EDUCATION.THE ECONOMY OF CYBA IS NOT FALLING APART...IT'S GONNA BE A BOOMING ECONOMY AS IT HAS FROM THE LOWEST PUBLIC DEBT IN THE WORLD...THEY DON'T LIKE THE LENT RICHES...THEY ONLY ASK TO LIFT THE BLOCKADE FROM THE NEIGHBOORING U.S. AS IT IS UNECONOMICAL TO GET SERVED VIA CANADA...

  • That so many people like this is an indictment on America's lack of knowledge of what the Castro Communist system is. Death, Murder and Starvation. No one is saying Batista was good, but he was a schoolboy compared to the current dictators.

How anyone can like this video done by coerced communists is beyond me even if they are liberals or democrats. If we keep on going in this direction then America will become like Cuba and you will all get your wish bastards I hope you enjoy the poverty.

  • This is very depressing. I am Cuban. People just don't know. The Castro's and their minions have killed hundreds of thousands of Cubans, including from mass starvation and lack of medicines and medical care. Just the fact that they are letting people send good wishes to Obama on camera, in Cuba is super scary and lets you know that the Castro's who control everything in Cuba are on Obama's side if not these people wouldn't speak to the camera specially not about a U.S. President. SCARY

  • Big bull shit

  • it is sad...how the ENTIRE world had hope that this one man would change everything. and he turned out to be a big phoney. didnt stop any wars, didnt close guantanamo, has not created new jobs in the usa, paid sentors hundreds of millions of dollars to vote for the health care bill. and the whole world got let down.

  • @john123wayne His term isn't over yet.. lighten up. Those problems took YEARS to accumulate. If you actually thought that they would disappear in four years.. seriously? Let's be realistic here.

  • @JayAntoinette Jay, I am a man of action. Obama first week in office he should have lowered small business taxes by 40 percent. (80 percent of new jobs are created by small businesses). Had the president done this...small business would have created jobs INSTANTLY. (yes...i am a small business owner). Obama first week in office should have lowered big business taxes....that would have created jobs. No...obama waited till year 2 of his presidency to create a 'jobs bill'. we need action not talk

  • @JayAntoinette Jay....here in los angeles where i live, i see more people sleeping in there cars than ever before. homeless here in los angeles has hit every neighborhood and family. people sleeping in their cars behind grocery stores, copy center stores....we have MILLIONS of people with educations out of jobs and the pres has great rhetoric. let me ask u a question: when your house is on fire, do you talk to your family about calling the fire dept or do YOU CALL? our country is on fire.

  • @john123wayne @john123wayne, Hey, I respect your stance on being a Man of Action. That absolutely commendable and I believe everything that you're saying about the rise of homelessness and unemployment. But it seems that every time Obama even SUGGESTS anything new, people look at it in a slanted view and find almost any reason to reject it. He needs to take things slow because even though we are in an economic situation that is reminiscent of the Great Depression, people are not fully (cont.)

  • @john123wayne (cont) to trust Obama. No matter what he does people are going to have some gripe about him and it's pretty rare when people have a legitimate one with him. I'm not going to count you as one of those people because from what you have said you're living on the forefront of our recession, but we also need to understand that this is not going to be an easy fix, there were plenty of factors that contribute to the problem and I think that there will be just as many SOLUTIONS (cont)

  • @john123wayne (cont) that should be considered in solving it. Instant gratification is all good and well but I thin patience and perseverance is the key here. Thank you for hearing me out and I'm sorry to hear about your small business. I feel that they are always shafted. : [

    VIVA FIDEL Y VIVA CUBA!

  • Viva Cuba y la Revolucion Cubana !!!

  • Gostaria de ter no Brasil um DITADOR que dê Saúde e Educação. Viva FIDEL.

  • She is talking to the wrong people, she should be asking Castro to free political prisoners,to provide freedom of speech and expression to stop stealing millions from the government national treasure,to stop buying businesses in chile and france and to stop having his 600+ million dollars in the swiss banks, the most important thing tell castro and his cronies to care for the cuban poeple.

  • @marck0938, você mente porque vc com certeza é do tipo, "tenho que me dar bem". Se humanize mais, se informe mais.

  • @Luiscesarx Yo miento,tu no has vivdo en cuba te voy a madar un video de la real cuba.

  • Dear people of Cuba,

    Hello from Phila, Pa.

  • The USA does not trade with Cuba and it imposed "The Embargo" in 1960 because the Cuban Government seized American owned business's and assets in Cuba. Example, AT&T owned the phone Company, Coca Cola had a huge bottling Company, Shell Oil had a huge oil refinery there and so on. When Cuba returns these, well, what do we want to call this, Stolen property? Then the Embargo will be lifted.

  • Interesting point. So when is the US going to return Texas and California to Mexico? Or pay Native Americans for the theft of resources? Americas embargo doesnt just apply to Cuba btw should non Americans trade with Cuba they are bullied by Uncle Sam. Now i dunno about you but I call that wrong

  • @mongpig5 If US retuns texas to mexico is it going to stop illegal immigration?Mexico lost Texas in a war with the US as well as californa,I do not see the reason why it should be return to mexico.

  • gusano

  • The embargo will be lifted soon watch.

The United States has stolen from many nations and wants to control the world Castro is smart for not allowing them to dominate him.

  • When will Mexico return it's land to Spain?????????????

  • do you understand how ignorant that statement is? Your attempt to flabbergast people is very short-lived.

  • It was a sarcasm...

  • oh my bad

  • You are simply trying to mindfuck me with the words "brainwashed" and "commandante" to craft my consciousness, before Castro Cuba was referred to as "a mafia paradise", many of whom the US worked with, they even supported the dictator before Castro, who was known for his brutality Fulgencio Batista, now Cuba has more doctors than any country there is, education is free K-D, Fidel may have had his UMAP camps but he also condemned them and torture in one of his commentaries

  • when i say condemned them i meant ended them, after Castro the literacy rate boosted 90%, he offered his cooperation with the US after 9/11 even though there is a lot to believe that the US did it in the first place, Cuba has free health care, Fidel also offered to send 110 doctors into Hurricane Katrina ravaged areas and finally saved the Angolans from South African occupation, i'm not saying he's perfect, but he's definately one a very good intentioned man

  • *a very good-intentioned man

  • Comment removed

  • alright, let's agree to disagree

  • take care

  • "More or less like Stalin" Give me your fucking reasoning. The US Embargo on Cuba is the main reason for most of the economic problems in Cuba. The purpose of the terrorist Embargo is to strave innocent Cubans so that the people eventually revolt and force Socialist Cuba into Capitalism. That is terrorism.

  • Comment removed

  • And every other foreign company that is or has been linked with USA. Did you forget about that? Or just haven't read about it?

Please show evidence of Fidel killing an "innocent". From you're reasoning, both Obama and Bush kill his own people.

  • Are you serious? The tug-boat incident was an accident made by the Cuban Coastguard that had no direct others from anybody. There was no guns used, the boat simply crashed into the boat. Where is your physical evidence to suggest this was a purposly planned massacre? The vast majority of people leaving Cuba were Middle-Upperclass Conservatives that supported the brutal dictatorship of batista. You have no evidence of Fidel being involved. Just a few statements from Anti-Castro Capitalists.

  • Comment removed

  • LOL. If I'm wrong, Show me EVIDENCE that im wrong. There is none, thats why Fidel is not wanted by ANYBODY for crimes against humanity. I dont think I need to stop talking when you have directly accused Fidel of ordering the deaths of people. You live in a dream and want to hate on Socialism/Communism. Base your blind faith on reality

  • Comment removed

  • You enjoy to verbally attack the Cuban Revolution(Which is strongly supported by the people in Cuba) just because your against Communism, although know nothing about it. And Cuba isent Communist, its Socialist. No evidence whatsoever, you're just trying to misguide people of the accidental deaths incidently caused when they were trying to flee after their brutal dear leader was overthrown by the people of Cuba

  • Comment removed

  • If the Cuban people do not support it's Government. Why does the Revolutionary Militia Neighbourhood Watch have over 7 Million Cuban members? Why has the Cuban managed to survive and resist US Imperialism for 50 years? It's obvious you're a typical US Conservative that bases his on faith, always having no evidence.

You also need to learn about Communism and what its definition is. Cuba is Socialist. Cuba is NOT Stateless.

Again, you do not have a clue.. Take your faith back to the Bible.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • Hahaha. No it isent. Communism is a STATELESS CLASSLESS Society where the workers controls the means of production. Fidel has declared him self a Marxist-Lennist, however he regocnises Cuba is not a Communist society. Cuba will tell you this and every communist alive will tell you this too. Just look it up. This is the fox news propaganda you listen too

  • Comment removed

  • Yes. Factually Cuba is not Communist. Theres no debate. Just because a state may call itself Communist(which it doesnt),doesn't mean it is. Cuba is Socialist and by some consider state capitalist

  • Comment removed

  • Again, just because somebody declares their party Communist, doesn't mean society is Communism. Cuba's Society is Socialist/State Capitalist. The people dont control the means of production, it is not stateless and money has not been abolished. Therefore it cannot be Communism. Communism can only be achieved when every Country is Socialist. = True Socialism, not Capitalist "Socialism" like you see in Sweden.

  • ok, with the shameful media you have you are obviously ignorant about what goes on in Cuba. But, hey...you are just ignoring your own history when you say the US is not imperialistic. Maybe the people in the US is not really asked or told about its potical moves, huh? I know the US is not necessarily the american people, but you can't ignore the political effects of our country all over the world. It's devastating.

  • YOU obviously have no idea how America gives to other countries more aid than the rest of the world COMBINED! BUT, PEOPLE like YOU only look at the negative, IF it serves your agendas!!!!!!!!

  • the united states will soon be coming to liberat cubas poeple and form a new goverment there

  • I hope the trade embargo will be finally be lifted. It's been too long.

  • You have to give it to Cuba for giving the USA the finger for nearly fifty years.

  • Yes we wanna peaceful world!! greeting Cuban comrades from Australia

    Viva Che

    Viva comandante Raul

  • Before Fidel Cuba was America's whorehouse where the Mafia and their puppet Batista killed 20,000 Cubans.

Fidel brought Cuba beautiful justice :o)

  • Oh My Lord, I can't believe we still have people so stupid that they believe Communism is GOOD?

That book you referenced is crap. It rolls all the deaths of both world wars, and all monarchies, and colonial wars, as well as wars against Communism into a total of "capitalist deaths".

You are TRULY ONE OF MARX'S USEFUL IDIOTS !!!

    Get an education you pussy.

  • You come across as a true scholar and visionary. Please let me know which brand of paint-stripper you snort so that we too may become equally enlightened.

  • that could be true, but what about the politic prisioners, at this moment and inocent people killed for Fidel in this 50 years, if Batista was bad, then Fidel too

  • " Before Fidel Cuba was America's whorehouse "

Doesn't Castro allow sex tourism often involving children?

  • No he didn't

  • Communist Propaganda, I hope they paid you well, you are aiding the murder of millions. Loser.

  • My heart goes out to those in Cuba and hope relations between Cuba and America will improve.

  • KathyHodgkin:

I'm sorry Kathy but you are out of line.

There is no place on this board for someone who is calm, reasonable, thoughtful and hopeful for a better and more cooperative world.

  • why bother this fucking balseros keep comming to miami drinking their own piss

  • Castro and Che are prophets. They took Cuba out of a dictatorship captalist ideology that oppressed 85% of the country. Communism is the greatest political idealogy in the right hands.

People need to realise that eventually, the whole world will become a Communist Planet.

  • Comment removed

  • You are obviously a college dropout, uneducated hipster who has no clue what you are talking about. Communism has KILLED 100 MILLION or more PEOPLE WORLDWIDE YOU IDIOT !!!!

    Shut up stupid.,,,,

    go smoke another pole.

  • Capitalism killed 147,000,000 people ...

see the black book of Capitalism

  • the young Cuban people does not have future in Cuba, is it that what u want for the world, Che and Fidel r not prophets, they r asesins, they r nothing.

  • .that is why they called Havana the Paris of the Americas...I've traveled to most countries in Latin America and even TODAY none look more advanced and cosmopolitan as Havana in the 1930's...

  • Why do you think Cuban Americans are so successful in the US. The education and idiosyncrasy of a free Cuba gave them the tools necessary to succeed. Today Cuba can only be compared to African countries and Haiti...what a disaster... type CUBA on you tube and click on the black and white documentary Cuba 1930's. Pictures speak for themselves...look at the cars on the road, the dress of the people in downtown Havana in suits, the shops..the day to day life of Cubans..

  • abanolibre:

You talk of the Cuban paradise Cuba pre-Castro. Nonsense. There was wealth of course in the hands of a few robber barons, but most of the people lived in squalor with high illiteracy, mortality, prostitution, drugs, etc.

Revolutions occur for a reason. They don't just happen for the fun of it. I can't think of any revolution in history that gained momentum among a healthy, educated, confident, people within a functioning nation.

  • indoctus41

Well said, i cannot say it any better than you

Bien dicho, no puedo decirlo mejor que tu.

  • Those pictures only show the middle and upper classes of the island. They were only like 10% of the population then.

  • Get your facts straight about Cuba. I am 36 years old. I was born there and lived under the communist tyranny of the castro brothers. The Cuban people live miserable lives. this regime has destroyed the island and has not had free elections in more than 50 years. Look up the UN stats for 1958 and Cuba was among the most advanced nations in every aspect.

  • qbanolibre:

I don't think you are being honest. There is very good documentation that under Batista and American influence, most Cubans lived wretched lives. You know very well that democracy ended in Cuba under Batista BEFORE Castro came to power, and the US showed little concern at the time. However once the socialist Fidel came to power, suddenly the US cried foul about the end of democracy.

You and the Americans are re-writing history for your own benefit

  • I think your blame is misplaced. You lved a miserable life because of the embargo the US government has illegally place on the island for the last 50 years. Those UN stats are biased against working people.

  • Just watch what will happen , in LONDIN for G-20 summit ,,, 35.000 protested 10 days before...

  • -- OBAMA can change ,,, WHAT ? Obama can change what his daughters wear to school ... THAT is the only thing he can change. Politics ,, IF he tries to change something ,, HE will end up like J.F Kennedy ...

  • Travel to Cuba is coming.... Small steps but in the right direction. Smart people with good will can fix this and once that ball starts rolling down hill Mel Martinez and all the Batista Cubans will not stop it.

  • Un pueblo puede tener mucha educacion muchas milicias y muchas armas ademas de mucho hammbre pero cuando no tiene esperansa es como si estuviesen muertos y la esperansa es lo que mas le a quitado Castro a Cuba

  • I think this video is very likely confusing alot of those in the Miami Mafia (the Cuban-American right wing). Cubans in Cuba are saying positive things about the newly elected president. I don't have to any of you the reputation American presidents have gotten on the island for so many decades. Should make people wonder if what the gusano's assumption about "no freedom in Cuba" is true.

  • If you would like to see about two hours of current events/Cuban videos and interviews with Cubans who live in Cuba on YouTube --watch "Un pais sin libertad (parte 1)" by palomero oficial. (By the way, for security reasons this is my last comment/posting on this video.)

  • Are you really Cuban, If security was such a big deal why does your profile location say United States, also if it was so opressive you wouldn't have internet access to a video like this. In China you cant get internet access to videos of Tibet etc.

  • I am not Cuban-American but I made a video which asked why I am not permitted to visit Cuba...so I hope Obama will restore relations and dump this idiotic embargo !

  • This is very weird! Americans are welcomed in Cuba but Americans can't travel to Cuba without specific permision from the US Government, according to the US embargo against Cuba. Nevertheless, approximately 100,000 Americans traveled to Cuba last year --and I have been told that only 17,000 travelled illegally and violated the law.

  • Perhaps Obama will change things so that I, and others, can visit Cuba as freely as we do Canada:)

I am amused by those who want to return Fulgencio Batista back to control...I think he's dead now.

  • To most of you "anuses" who defend the indefensible, i.e., Cuba's Communism, the American leftists who visit Cuba these days at the Kuban Government expense, and to the other scumbags who visit Cuba and go on dope or with whiskey breath: you just don't know how incredibly sorry I am for my inability to reply to most of your comments, messages, and propaganda. My only appeassment is the fact that I know that all of you "above mentioned" are a bunch of contemptible, detestable assholes!

  • Is it that difficult "for all of you" to distinguish between the Cuban people who are genuinely friendly --the communist run Cuban Government who does not give a shit about the Cuban people and their suffering --the island of Cuba which is an economic shithole --and the petty, mean spirited, vindictive Castros?

  • If the Castros are so vindictive then why did they illiminate illeteracy on the island, why do they have an ample food rationing system, and free healthcare and free higher education? and all for the lower classes. The suffering of the Cubans are at the hands of the US government through the embargo that they have enforced, illegaly, foir the last 40 years. Why do you right wing Cuban-americans forget that?

  • houston81 you are nuts man,for half the cost you could have a nice vacation in a clean modern hotel in puerto rico, beaches are cleaner also

  • I want to go to Cuba. I think it looks awesome! The U.S. won't let me but I don't give a shit. This summer I am flyin' to Mexico city then I am catchin a flight to Cuba! I can't wait! Looks like a beutiful country too bad I live amongst politicians whom are retarded:) Cheers

  • a bro good thing ur going but be careful lots of girls taken ur money jacken you or doing some dirty things a good place really really hot alot of people there have diseases there

  • Houston81 it's a shithole was their before Castro, and after. Don't waste your time. You think Mexico's bad this place is the hellhole of the world. Don't blame Castro it's the Cuba people worse than the top ten ghetto's in this country. Only good thing about the House lifting restrictions is maybe they will all go home. Florida is a complete garbage pit since the first boatload of Cubans came to the U.S.

  • thats cuz those cubans r the rich snobs who left to keep their money

  • Mira soy Cubano y vivo en Cuba --so just shut the fuck up and visit us --and bring CNN with you --so you can see and show all your friends, the "real Cuba", the shittiest, dirt-poor, most corrupt and oppresive country in the world!

  • Ha- I'll still visit. And, no-cnn will not be w/ me. If Cuba is the "shittiest" etc etc... perhaps that is why you are stuck there for life! Judging by your previous commentary you seem like a disgruntled Cuban that is not getting laid. Have fun rotting in your head:)

  • I am glad you are visiting. I believe all people like you should come and visit us. I just hope that when you get here -- you get really pissed off with all this shit (as I'm sure you will) and then "get stuck" with the rest of us for at least a couple of extra days.

  • And by the way, you are 100% correct in that I am (lately) disgruntled and not getting laid (just like most Cubans). . .and. . . since you are not bringing CNN with you. . .and I hear that everything is big in Texas. . . I hope you have a big heart and you bring us your girlfriend, your sister, and your momma.

  • Tell the US to lift the embargo against Cuba and the island won't be such a "shithole".

  • Hi, it is a beautiful place and if you can get there I don't think you will be disapointed.

Of course the political situation is not great at all, but in terms of being a visitor, Havana is amazing.

Vinales is a beautiful region and Santiago and Trinidad are well worth visiting.

I met a few American's who were there on the sly, and they seemed to love the place.

It is actually very backpacker friendly (lots of Europeans, Aussies etc), and the people are also pro-American.

  • Could you tell me what it was that you saw and/or heard there that is pro-American?
