Lumi nice one again.. i would really like to see an episode just on the type of damage that a hero's spell inflicts. I mean physical, magical.. lots of people including myself often gets confuse with item buys.. eg getting vguard for doom going sceptre is probably better than hood? i hope u know wat i mean. for the next lumisofun challenge you should do no hitting towers...where the whole team is only able to hit towers if 4 of the 5 heroes on the other side are dead...and when 1 of them comes alive all back...i bet that would be a long as and interesting game with lot of kills :P

1 question....does cloak stack? if i get 2 cloaks is that the same magic resistance like a hood or not...cause if it is...then sometimes why buy hood if you dont need the hp regen...if you only need magic resistance...just stack 2-3 cloaks... and you are done :P that seems broken...so is it true? :/

IMPORTANT : magic resistance does stack fully on AM. The formula is a result of probability, it's just how calculations are made since it's impossible to have above 100% probability....

just like armor, magic resistance gives the same amount of EHP for every 1% magic resistance u add. i don't feel like writing a 2 page essay that's why i'm just gonna give u the link on playdota : /guides/dota-fun-to-think-and-­imagine

It does stack fully in the way Luminous defines it. Just read the example. Believe, magic res stacks better than armor. Try to make some calculations yourself.

For example, 10 armor gives you 25% dmg reduction, but 40 armor doesn't give you 100% either. Instead, every armor point gives you 6% (based on hp pool) effective hp against melee attacks. (as you already pointed out in the video)

Magic resistance works in a similar way. 25% magic res gives you 1/(1-0,25)=33% effective hp against magic dmg. If you add another 25% magic res, it gives you: 1-(1-0,25)(1-0,25)=77% effective hp in total!
