There is a force "infinitely" more powerful than the puny gravity, anyone know what it is? It is demonstrated on the sun all the time... Gravity really has not much of a say compared to it. It makes the mathematical construct of "black holes" unecessary and silly.. and a lot of other stuff too.
Event Horizon...... Einstein proved that if we are actually able to witness a black hole.... The light between it and us will be sucked in and we will also be sucked in as we are in the same space/time as that light......so, dont ever look directly at a black hole without special viewing lenses. You can get em on E-Bay for 3 easy payments of 4,638,000$ each. With each purchase you get an instructional video and some nice raisin cookies from WW2. Enjoy!! :D
Might've been easier to just take charts and render this or make it in after-effects. It doesn't seem like a fluid transition between each still. Excellent idea, nonetheless. 5 stars.
Oh how cute no black hole? just stars acting just like plasma which they are. What a surprise! But I am sure there is some type of a magical physical construct of mathematics (like dark mater or extra dimensions) that explains this ignoring the simple explanation of electric cosmology. When CERN comes up empty handed the only place to turn will be electric cosmology.
See how stars orbit a little up and left from the center? They are elliptically orbiting around an invisible object- a black hole. And we see a blink in about that place, maybe a flash of falling matter from a passing star!
I don't believe this video because how exactly would you see through that cloud that surrounds the center ? "ok" put it this way ! in this video you can see stars(or what ever it is) going round and round ! if there was a black hole then there's no way you could see it because there will be no escaping light for us to see ! ok , not only you would have to see through a cloud but you would also have to see the light from the black hole ! I would love to get this technology.. Ya Think ?
the stars you see are not trapped by the black holes, mearly slingshotting around them... light can escape a black holes gravity right up until it is acctually on the event horizon. this is the definition of the event horizon... the black holes gravitational effect extends well beyond the event horizon
That looks like S2 (in sagitarrius) in the middle-upper-right. that would put the black hole slightly off-center in this video. correct?
by the way, if you told me this was video of bacteria in a petri dish, I'd believe it. Amazing how the motion of these stars looks almost organic from a distance.
The galaxy being held together is the proof the accelleration therom is also bunk, why would it accellerate?
-- You are confusing the issue. The galaxy isn't expanding, the universe is. Those two words aren't interchangeable. Galaxies are moving away from other galaxies, because gravity is very weak and grows weaker at greater distances. It has no power to hold in something that is far away. Once two galaxies are pushed far enough apart by the power of the big bang they don't attract eachother.
"I am saying, for that to be a reality, we would need to be, once again placed o nthe pedistal, at the center of the universe."

That is a complete misinterpretation of the data, and the facts. Like I have said, not all things are equidistant from us, they are all just accelerating away from us. Like a cue ball hitting the rack, all the balls accelerate away from the cue ball, but is in the center of those balls? No. You're ignoring an entire wealth of data on that silly argument?
Slacker Slayer Did you have a response for the information I supplied you about the variability of light speed? You presented your questions ,"Can light change speed? Yes. What can affect it so? " as if were some mystery. I am wondering, how does my information "light speed is only a constant 186,000 mph in a vacuum" affect the mysteriousness(osity?) of your mystery?
"That idea of the expanding universe as galaxies are being held together. Forget about some formula of gravities strengths over distance, he made the statement which is in total error and each galaxy shows that."
--
So, you're response can be summarized as: ignore that crucial point about gravity and he's wrong! But if you pay attention to the forces of nature (probably should) then what we see makes perfect sense. Massive bodies attract mass but only at a short range so distance is crucial.
"Objects which are deemed to be of an equal distance from US have a simialr amount of red shift. Does that clarify what I said for you?"

I guess my answer is no. I perfectly understood what you said before, so it can't really be clarified for me.

First of all, I would appreciate it if you didnt refer the human race as my species.
And second the human race is just starting to learn. There are many species out there that are hundreds of thousands of earth years more advanced than humans. In that comparison humans have barely begun to scratch the surface.
Yeah that's what we all hear, that the truth will come soon but how soon? We've been waiting and waiting and just for the heck of it, we waited some more but still nothing. Maybe the truth will come when we are all gone from the face of the Earth.
the evidence we have of the existance of the black holes is indirect by studying how it affects the path of nearby bodies. but how do we know the size of one? i've always wondered that.
well they must have a method to calculate it, even estimate it, otherwise why would they even state it? its just a hunch, but i think it has something to do with the size of neutrons.
the nucleus of a black hole is about the size of ... hmmm everything in our solar system... squeezed down to the size of a marble... super dense ... the event horizon.. or black ball you see in movies... is energy and particles ... getting smushed down...
what was that blip of light right after the two stars or body of mass. That almost had a orbital collision. Also why did it seem to look like a ripple in the pond or is it a image capture design.
Yes, very violent. That star is S2, whose 15 year orbit virtually proves the existence of a super massive (3.7 billion suns) black hole at the center of our galaxy.
"Sixteen years of observations of stars around the galactic centre are assembled in this video. The real motion of the stars has been accelerated by a factor 32 million"
I didn't say that. I just wanted to point out that is is 16 years compressed in a 12seconds video. If we were to watch this in a 24hour video sure it wouldn't look very violent.
It is violent perhaps in our scale but in an astronomical scale I don't think it's THAT violent.
O.K.,yes,I suppose the speed up process could have produced the slight jerky movements rather than,it being a violent movement of the planet(star)...yes, I believe your right.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
wow that's one gravitational distortion, certainly there are more than 1 super massive blackhole there, scary thought... and people said there's no god, but they don't even understand the work of the universe...
That random movement actually follows a pattern, the other stars are in an orbit (possibly degrading) around the black hole. You can see that the stars are moving in one direction then thrown in another due to the nature of the orbit. Eventually the stars will be swallowed up.
Rather you than me boldly going. Unless you have factor 10,000,000 sunscreen and have the natural ability to dodge the cosmic-crap radiation that makes hiroshima look like a walk in the park... send me a postcard :p
"A light year is a measure of distance, not time."
Also time. Space and time can not be separated. At the speed of light in vacuum they have the same magnitude. Time is space in SR, with a '-' sign in front of it's dot product.

First of all, I would appreciate it if you didnt refer the human race as my species.
And second the human race is just starting to learn. There are many species out there that are hundreds of thousands of earth years more advanced than humans. In that comparison humans have barely begun to scratch the surface.
The truth will come soon enough.
2012trax 3 years ago
i bet aliens are making comedy shows about humans.

soo true haha I dont know if im looking at stars orbiting the milky way or an ultrasound of a child who swallowed some marbles
hshabbir 3 years ago 3
you might be right.
ZarekFinland 3 years ago
Yeah that's what we all hear, that the truth will come soon but how soon? We've been waiting and waiting and just for the heck of it, we waited some more but still nothing. Maybe the truth will come when we are all gone from the face of the Earth.

That's the problem, rather than search for answers yourselves, you have others do it for you.

and where did you get these facts from marco polo? thats like saying i assume this so it is true.

I wonder why some stars were wobbling...is that the effect of being so near the super massive black hole?
DamienZshadow 3 years ago
might be because of the magnetic fields of the stars and CMEs that coming off of it
3S88Sat 3 years ago
I think that wobbling star starts to wobble because its clipped by the orbiting star.
puretroubleman 3 years ago
the evidence we have of the existance of the black holes is indirect by studying how it affects the path of nearby bodies. but how do we know the size of one? i've always wondered that.
Maracachucho 3 years ago
i dont think they do they just estimate it.
automaticAEV 3 years ago
well they must have a method to calculate it, even estimate it, otherwise why would they even state it? its just a hunch, but i think it has something to do with the size of neutrons.
Maracachucho 3 years ago
the nucleus of a black hole is about the size of ... hmmm everything in our solar system... squeezed down to the size of a marble... super dense ... the event horizon.. or black ball you see in movies... is energy and particles ... getting smushed down...
notNEWW 3 years ago
The size of a black hole is exactly proportional to its mass.
More mass the larger the black hole.
And the mass can be calculated by the orbits of objects about it.
ytmoog 3 years ago
My question is, how can in infinitely small and dense point be bigger than another infinitely small and dense point?
jongeo 3 years ago
"how can in infinitely small and dense point be bigger than another infinitely small and dense point?"
And the simple answer is that the 'size' of a black hole is measured as the diameter of the 'event horizon'.
Anything (including light) inside the event horizon cannot escape.
ytmoog 3 years ago
what was that blip of light right after the two stars or body of mass. That almost had a orbital collision. Also why did it seem to look like a ripple in the pond or is it a image capture design.

wat teh fahk. where the black hole?

Hello,QUESTION IF I MAY......
The star in the closest position moved quite rapidly, is this sped up at all?
If not, this seems quite violent for such a large object to be moving
lazymornings 3 years ago
Yes, very violent. That star is S2, whose 15 year orbit virtually proves the existence of a super massive (3.7 billion suns) black hole at the center of our galaxy.
Doogsonai 3 years ago
Well duh. *read with silly voice* "seems quite violent for such a large object to be moving".
Thanks for that pearl of wisdom, Einstein!

What a dummy, just couldn't pass it up..could ya...piece of shit of my shoe, thats you
lazymornings 3 years ago
"Sixteen years of observations of stars around the galactic centre are assembled in this video. The real motion of the stars has been accelerated by a factor 32 million"
Silv3rsail0r 3 years ago
So,you don'y think over 16 years it's still quite violent......
lazymornings 3 years ago
I didn't say that. I just wanted to point out that is is 16 years compressed in a 12seconds video. If we were to watch this in a 24hour video sure it wouldn't look very violent.
It is violent perhaps in our scale but in an astronomical scale I don't think it's THAT violent.
Silv3rsail0r 3 years ago
O.K.,yes,I suppose the speed up process could have produced the slight jerky movements rather than,it being a violent movement of the planet(star)...yes, I believe your right.
Thanks.
lazymornings 3 years ago
try living on one of their planets. (if they still have any)
time-scale shouldn't matter, but it does blow out any inaccuracy.
if your seeing it in a 24 our video, it doesn't look violent because you're looking at it in the wrong scale.
lygophile 3 years ago
I wouldn't call it wrong scale, just different scale. What looks small to us is huge to ants.
Silv3rsail0r 3 years ago
did you even try?
look around more

wow that's one gravitational distortion, certainly there are more than 1 super massive blackhole there, scary thought... and people said there's no god, but they don't even understand the work of the universe...

Looks like sperm.
JiubLink 3 years ago
That must be a really massive black hole, because those stars are moving huge distances in very short time periods. 16 years is extremely fast.
Icix1 3 years ago
what are they orbiting ?
a black hole maybe ?
blues260 3 years ago
yep, the center of the milky way, which is extremely big black hole

supafly377 3 years ago
Looks like random movements to me o.o
RyuuKagutsuchi 3 years ago
That random movement actually follows a pattern, the other stars are in an orbit (possibly degrading) around the black hole. You can see that the stars are moving in one direction then thrown in another due to the nature of the orbit. Eventually the stars will be swallowed up.

ReallyPsilly 3 years ago
A light year is a measure of distance, not time.
Ikus13 3 years ago 2
"A light year is a measure of distance, not time."
Also time. Space and time can not be separated. At the speed of light in vacuum they have the same magnitude. Time is space in SR, with a '-' sign in front of it's dot product.
AkiraBergman 3 years ago
actually a light year is the distance travled by light in one year
