i do have a question can the samba even be danced as a cuppel like i see in all the 1940s movies

my close friend lives in El Salvador he has shown me what is should look like. it is funny how we think it should be and what is really is so different. but i have leaned there are many different styles to the dance over the years. do you think it is a form of it since it was done in 1941. thanks for your comment BOBBY
