  • the snes version simply wins,it has such dark atmospherefull graphics and stereo sound.

unlike the gba version wich has way toooo overbrichted incorrect colors and shamefull cartoony sound effeccts with falsch instrumental music, what would they thinking?????

this must,ve be done by new developers and NOT by those original developers cuzz i just can,t imagine but if so they must,ve be drunken seriousely!!!

  • snes is not better of a gba only DKC 1-2 and 3 are bad ports for gba

  • Honestly, the GBA version is great. Sure the sounds of the enemies can get annoying, but it's nothing too bad. It's pretty much the exact same game anyways.

I have the SNES version and the GBA version on my VBA and personally, and they're both really good.

  • SNES is better graphic and sound quality.

GBA version of this sound quality is bad.

  • gba is more powerful than snes. this game is only a bad port

  • bether* so much bether

  • snes version is obviously better it was originla. the gba isnt that great

  • snes wins

  • snes kick ass

  • Respond to this video... WITHOUT SONY FX CHIP GBA VERSION IS TRASH!

  • @zeldagamer64 Are you blind?!

  • Haha the message is different in both versions. :P

  • Isn't there like, more places you can go in the SNES version? Or am I crazy?

  • Golden Sun gba vs Chrono Trigger snes...

    would be a great fight,

  • @TheFred128 Close, but Chrono Trigger.

  • @shrodu the two games are really amazing, I really admire the golden sun by the incredible moves, spells, weapons, sumons, and good history of the game.

  • @TheFred128 All true, but when it comes to gameplay, story, music, and graphics, CT has got it in the bag.

    That, and

  • All the characters have very fascinating back stories

  • @shrodu i agree

  • @TheFred128 I meant for Chrono Trigger. XD

  • @shrodu hehehe,i agree too... the both games are amazing

  • I must say... The map looks horrible on the GBA version, and the colors are too strong on the kongs (diddy looks like he is really angry abour something). But even with that the game feels really good. Just play it on a portable device.

  • GBA 32Bits? sorry but never. DK3 on the GBA sucks.

  • @wereda10 dude ur retarded XD

  • Still arguing which version is better? I imagine people arguing that are the same age as me or maybe older (20+)... please, grow up already. The GBA port is a conversion of the game and of course, because of hardware differences, lots of changes had to be made, like changing the contrast and coloring because of the original GBA didnt have a lighted screen. Okay, the sound change stuff is pointless. Take into account that a SNES isnt something you can carry in your pocket. IMO both versions rock.

  • @hfc2x The sound change stuff wasn't pointless! It now sound a lot better!

  • @hfc2x I agree, people should be happy because they can carrie DKC (1,2 and 3) anywhere, but instead this is what happened

  • In the GBA version, both monkeys ride the Rambi, but in the SNES Diddy is so selfish so Dixie has to run after him.

  • SNES had MUCH better noises.

  • GBA version looks a lot more appealing! Everybody else has serious problems!

  • @GameCrew98 have you actually played both versions? cos gba just feels WRONG

  • @GameCrew98 EXACTLY!

  • @willychavez22 Finally, someone with common sense!

  • Comment removed

  • @GameCrew98 lol i know why everyones saying snes version is better but sriously i think gba version is better!

  • @willychavez22

It depends realy, i grew up with the DKC games on the snes so i prefer them for the nostalgia.

And then i played that gba ports that added many features that i realy enjoy and many improvements

as well, many people complain about the graphics on the gba port, but that's because they had to port

the snes game to the first non backlit gba, besides it's a gba game, it looks alot better on the actual system then displayed on your computer screen at a high resolution.

  • @willychavez22 While I do think that the GBA looks better, i understand why some people think that SNES looks better, but the music i can not understand in any way, shape or form. The GBA sounds a million and one times better!

  • @GameCrew98 i agree!

  • @willychavez22 i actually played the gba version first... thinking that it was a new game.

    i loved the music ^_^

dont dis this game! least its playable!

  • @supersmashbro596 yep i love it:)

  • why does dkc snes graphics impress me more than dkc returns graphics even today (which is like 15 years difference) but gba version... meh

  • The sound is probably what differs the masterful gba version to the mediocre (compared to the gba) snes version. It's just so much better! It just disgusts me how inferior the snes is!

  • The colours and the textures from the DKC2 in the SNES is really better than the GBA.

    @GameCrew98

Say something that's better in GBA than the SNES please....

  • You and pretty much everyone else here are plain retarted, I mean, the GBA version is obviously like 9999999999999999999999999999 times better than the SNES in pretty much every way!

  • hahaha, SNES just RAPED GBA

  • SNES is better, except for lacking Kerozene.

  • Why does the gba version was worse than the super nes? bad work? ... the GBA is more powerful than the super nes! ...

  • i haveboth and i like them

  • please dont compare both versions they had something unique lets compare the snes had better graphics because the game used like 36 mb of ram the gba version only uses like 16 maybe 8 second the gba version has more collectibles and more levels example: the big klemling boss that doesnt appear in the snes version maybe the snes has better graphics but the gba had more secrets when u get the kermlin koin u dont have to wait to exit out of the bonus

  • I remember playing the GBA version and thought how watered down everything was.

  • the closest gba port was DKC3 for graphics and physics, it also included a new world and music sountrack. one and two gba were shockingly bad, even the damn original gameboy ones felt better made!!

  • snes has better graphics

  • oh my......what did they do to DKC2 on the GBA????

  • The gba is better in my opinion I just keep the snes version so I can play donkey kong on the big screen

  • Here's a quick tip. If you want portable DKC2, but dislike the GBA port...

Get a PSP, Gp2x Wiz, or a dingoo. And put SNES9x on there with a DKC2 ROM.

However, if you dislike emulation, get the FC 16 Go. It's a portable SNES that can TAKE you original carts and play them on the go! Problem is, I hear the battery life is crap (Two to three hours, I think.) AND it's A LITTLE big, but it doesn't bother me that much, then again, I never OWNED one. Just seen it.

  • DCK on snes does not have to get around portable screen, but the handheld sounds great!

  • the gba version looks okay but it will never match up to snes

  • gba versions looks like the 2nd port on the game boy color.looks like a genesis version of donkey kon,and maybe i could have looked even better on a genesis.

  • GBA version still looks good

  • Of course the SNES is better. The GBA one is great. The reason why the graphics are different is because the GBA couldn't handle the graphics of the Donkey Kong Country sprites.

  • The GBA remake (I refuse to call it a port) is so inferior to the original that is' not even funny. What the fuck were they thinking not directly porting it?

  • In my opinion, the GBA version is better! The sound tracks arent as good and the maps arent as colourful but, all in all it is better value. It cost alot less and you can play it anywhere any time!

  • SNES is better all around. SNES has better sound quality, better map and level background design for the most part (I'm looking in your direction roller coaster levels from Krazy Kremland).

  • snes version trumps in every way.

  • I haven't one of them, but I want DKC 2 for SNES ;-)

And its like Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart:Super Circuit - the SNES Music is better!

    And the colours to :-)

(Sorry, my English ist bad, I know...)

  • The SNES version sound better.

  • Ho do you Super Charge?

  • In the SNES version, you hold A to super charge. In the GBA version, you hold R to super charge.

  • I like the snes version more

  • duh

  • Well @ least they kept the original soundtrack for this game, wtf they did with the DKC 3 port on GBA i have no idea...horrible new music ugh

  • because the 3rd's music was made by someone else for the snes, so the original composer for 1 + 2 made a new soundtrack for the gba release of dkc3

  • isso pq vc ta vendo a versão 2... DK3 ficou muito pior no quesito som do que esse

(using google translator) that because you're seeing the second version ... DK3 was worse in the question sound

  • aside from 3d effects It looks better on the GBA remember people GBA couldn't do mode 7 effects very well

  • DKC 2 on SNES is infinite times better than on GBA. Period.

  • @Kabal07 Nearly all of the SNES-to-GBA games are like that. The only games mildly better were the Final Fantasy games, mainly due to new translations and endgame content.

  • @Kabal07 ya but a portable version is still a good idea.

  • @Kabal07 on graphics and sounds by far, almost seems like the GBA lacked in power to make a good port of this.

  • @Oni64 It didn't lack the power to make a decent port, Rare simply screwed up big time. GBA is considerably more powerful than SNES, especially the CPU. It wasn't just a simple brightening of the graphics, all the sprites and backgrounds were resized down to only 75% of their original size. That makes it even worse. Not only that, they removed most of the lighting effects and day/night transitions. Ironically, the SNES version can be emulated somewhat on GBA via snezziboy or snes advance...

  • I saw 1/68 DK coins @ 4:12

What I remember in DKC2 there are only 41 DK coins.

    Are there new levels?

  • not levels, but 'bonus' games and things to do for them. Emu racing, photo collecting etc...

  • snes version is better not only the graphics but sound and playability as well, honestly Donkey Kong Country 2 is easier on GBA than on the Snes.

  • Well, yeah. you don't need to pay to save, and you can save any time, and fly any time, no need to find Wrinkly or Funky. =/

  • if you check closely you can tell the physics are not the same in the Gba version try Rambi's super charge in both versions and you'll see what I mean

  • I think DKC2 on snes is a better version cool video!

  • i agree.

  • DKC2 en snes es uno de los mejores juegos de aventuras que jugue cuando era chico, me costaba sacar el 102%.

    DKC2 rulez!

  • cool^^
