  • Another genius move...

  • Better get the rest of the story on ol'Ron...He doesn't believe in public education for our children (Private Schools only )....Dollar should be replaced by each state printing their own money (Worked so well in 1814)...Drop income tax for 3 or 4 years just to see how it goes...Drop this Social Security nonsense.....Replace Interstate highways with Toll Roads, etc.,etc...

  • I am new to listening to Ron Paul and I am quite impressed with what he says and how he says it.

I think Ron Paul could correct America's course for the better but I have a feeling the "powers that be" would not stand for him and he like Lincoln would be assassinated.

  • @Shargrailar Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich have been the only hroes among our politicians in recent years . They say what they mean , call out corporate criminals , and want more transparency in government .

  • There are fewer, and not less, jobs.

  • @kirby4d

well, an 88% above poverty level is much better than a less than 10% the socialist nations in history have had. USSR anyone?

  • Stimulus Mister I need this Job is the name of the video I made for all these congressmen to wake up

  • @kirby4d Yes for a short time that would have been true, but we would be out of it now and our currency would be backed by a tangible.

Wich would you rather have? A deep horrible gash that heals or terminal skin cancer?

  • Ron Paul claims that, but it's not backed up by any facts. Sure he can pull up 1920-1, but that does not really compare. Austrians and their associates like to make these outlandish claims that are comparable to Christian claims about Jesus returning.

Now the gold standard is something I agree with, but what Ron Paul does not tell you is that there is not enough gold, silver, platinum, and copper in existence to sustain our economy AND be used industrially.

  • @kirby4d What is needed is a monetary system that cannot be created from nothing. It would actually be better if coins were a bit smaller anyway. Also the value of things has not changed. A good quarter horse back in the early 20th century was $150. $150X$14=$2100

    $16.50 is todays spot

    Morgan Silver Dollar = spot price X 0.90 X 26.7 / 28.35

I used a horse because it was the main mode of personal transport of the time so most people had them.

  • Either learn from history or keep repeating the same stupid policies. The Austrians have been proven right time after time, I don't know why people can't see that.

  • No the Austrians have rarely if ever been proven right. Austrian school claims to be based on logic, but any look at what it advocates will show that it is logically impossible to work. Laissez-faire is an outdated and completely false notion that has done nothing to improve society at large ever. Economies with the proper government intervention have shown stronger and fairer economies, and much better quality of life.

  • Public school education? "Fairness" is another boondoggle, it concerns moral relativism in matters that are purely empirical. Capitalism is the only system proven over time to significantly improve upward mobility and higher standards of living. Keynesianism is a cancer on sustainable systems.

  • What about it?

Boondoggle my ass. Capitalism is the boondoggle.

Capitalism has only been proven to screw people and solve nothing. If its so upwardly mobile, how come we still have poor and hungry people? You cant always just "get a job" and often those jobs dont pay shit. Capitalism hasnt done a damn thing to get us where we are. The higher quality of life we have is all because of socialist implementations (labor laws, min. wage, free public schooling, etc..)

  • Ok why has America been the strongest most prosperous free country in the world for over 200 years? Why are we the richest Country that every other Country comes to in times of trouble? We rebuilt Europe after WW2, had we not been there they would still be digging out. Countries with big government entitlement programs and socialized systems have higher unemployment, higher prices, higher taxes, and stag net economies. Our problem is the bigger Gov get the poorer her people get.

  • Actually, the US only became the richest country in the world after WW2. We were behind dozens of countries for over 50 years, with China on top. At the centennial, the US finally broke into the top 5. Around World War I, the US moved to 2nd place, much of the change due to industrialization and the collapse, war, or economic rape in other countries (China). Then after WW2 destroyed the European economies, the US was at the top. Everyone else is finally catching back up.

  • And on GDP per capita, socialist countries outwit the US or are often on par, while more capitalist countries are significantly lagging. Not every country comes to us in times of trouble. In fact, we are usually the ones offering help. Greece did not come to us for help. They went to Germany. Haiti didnt come to us for help. We came to them.

  • Where did you get your info from a ad for socialism? Greece is bankrupt because it spends way more then it takes in in revenues. You can compare it to California's problem. Excessive Gov. spending, a bloated and dysfunctional public sector with unsustainable finances. Huge Gov. employee salaries and huge entitlement programs have caused the problem. Germany is leading a possible bailout supported by France and other Eurozone members. Italy, Spain, Portugal, are close behind Greece.

  • The fact that we rebuilt Europe proves that government intervention and socialist policies can rapidly advance an economy. In fact, this is demonstrated dozens of times that socialism beats capitalism in any race. Socialism is like planting seeds and watering your crops. Capitalism is like waiting for a field to get berries. Which will produce first?

  • Actually, governments with socialism have better unemployment: Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Netherlands. France is on par with the US. Higher prices often means a higher standard of living—life is better there. Higher taxes is not necessarily a bad thing. Countries with little or no taxation are hellholes (Somalia, Haiti). Socialist economies are no more stagnant than ours.

  • But the deciding factor is freedom. I would rather have control of my own income then give up the lion's share of it to taxation. Rather than be given healthcare, give me my income and I'll get my own healthcare, government cannot be trusted with the broad range of authority that socialism grants them, the potential for abuse is too high. Even in the Netherlands, a so-called socialist paradise, lawmakers are begging for an American style protection of free speech and free press.

  • Actually, minimum wage has been proven to cause unemployment...

  • @Lilbalitzu And the lack of mininmum wage has been proven to stagnate and drag down society and lower the standard of living

  • you dont get it kirby, capitalism isnt perfect because the world will never be perfect.

show me an example in history where communism hasn't failed?

capitalism is just he best of the worst solutions- and noone is seriously debating abolishing labor laws...

A bunch of people would like you to think capitalism is unfair because they are too lazy or stupid to make it under the current system. perfect example: NEARLY ALL PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Actually, communism and socialism have worked far better than capitalism. Capitalism is very slow to advance and leaves lots of people behind. Every country that has tried socialism correctly has advanced exponentially, while capitalist countries have been slower and more stagnant. Socialist GDP/cap are better than capitalist.

Capitalism is no solution at all. Capitalism IS the problem.

It's not lazy or stupidity that makes people poor. That's your excuse because you think it cant happen toyou

  • kirby, the countries you have named were already wealthy nations prior to adopting socialist policies; socialism can effectively distribute wealth, but no impoverished nation has improved by adopting a socialist economic model. On the contrary a number of middle income nations have gone deteriorated due to adopting European style economic models without having large amounts of accumulated capitalist wealth.

  • @kirby4d I would disagree on forms of government being at fault.

I would say who is running those governments is always at fault. Successful Capitolism, unsuccessful Capitolism, successful Socialism, unsuccessful Socialism the only differences would be what idiot/wise individuals guide its growth.

  • Keynesianism actually has been thoroughly proven to work when done correctly. It was bungled this past year, which was hardly Keynesian. But FDR and others have done it right.

  • Really then why do top economist say FDR policies actually extended the depression by 8 years. The Government can't create jobs. and jobs it create those salaries have to be payed by your taxes. The Government has no money every Penney they spend is from the taxes you pay. At this time they are spending a trillion more then tax revenues they receive form you. They will have to raise taxes to pay off this debt.

  • Ron Paul is correct.

  • Hmmmm... Let me just see if I understood this...

Ron Paul For The Mother Fucking God Damn Win 2012.

    Was I right?? Lol

  • The job loss continues but the rate started to slow down. Without the stimulus the result would have been even more drastic.

  • The stimulus has worked according to hundreds of republican congressmen who are using it in their districts! Much of the stimulus was for tax breaks for businesses and middle income people. RON NEEDS TO AVOID THE REPUBLICAN LIES OUT THERE... AND KEEP IT HONEST!

  • Lets elect this guy president, if for no other reason than to see in the long run that he's any different from all the others. After all, he is a politician.

  • @Barnekkid

If you really believe this, then be consistent and never vote. If you ever vote, this will demonstrate that you don't really believe what you are saying. (After all, they're all "politicians," right?)

  • Nah, dbertube, I don't think so. I wasn't born with my beliefs; these are things that have evolved thru experience and the passage of time. While my comment could be construed as negative, all I'm saying is I've been very cynical for a long time, and to say anything else would be dishonest. At least I'm willing to test my beliefs by saying I'd like to see RP take office to see what he would do. Btw, my cynicism began in November of 1963 and has been firmly in place since.

  • @Barnekkid

Fair enough. I too am generally apathetic toward gov't, but I do believe (& it is possible that I'm wrong) that Ron Paul is geniune (based on his past voting record, integrity to principal, etc. ). He's pretty much the only guy I trust in Washington.

Anyway, good chatting with you. Take care.

  • He's right! They shouldn't have done anything except get out of the way and let the market work itself out. The government is the problem.

  • @Shaunt1 Riiiight Junior....and when your house is on fire don't call the Fire Department...the fire will work itself out..

  • @bellcord We can have private fire fighters.

  • good and true

  • He so right. I manage a grocery store and all of my employees were pissed off because they did not get a large anticipated refund. They had to pay. He is really in touch with the people.

  • The voice of truth and reason speaks again. Ron Paul for US President 2012!

  • I pray for you daily...for God to keep you safe... We know that when we take a stand, those who are Evil will always try to shut us up. I pray for your safty...God bless you always.

  • I have been listening to Ron Paul's new book "End The Fed" today, it's an interesting read. Everyone should pick up a copy.

  • The rest of your hard earned "tax dollars" will be used to fund public services including public transportation which will physically slow you down if you are trying to get to an appointment, job, meeting, airport, vacation, restaurant, grocery store...... AND who is on that bus or light rail, one maybe two people who are in no hurry to accomplish anything or get anywhere!!

  • Who in this country wants to take more money out of their own pocket and give it to the Federal Gov?? The feds will in-turn give your hard earned money to billionaire BANKERS and GM who by the way makes most of their profit from being a bank (originating loans on vehicles)!!

  • Ron Paul is a very intelligent man, he's done his homework and the U.S. would thrive under him

  • I love Ron Paul, he is remarkable. I want him to be our President!

  • I've noticed the effects myself, even being disabled. Our 'bailout' payment was helpful. But we learned, the normal cost of living increase has been removed. While the cost of living has not stopped going up itself. In the end, we are worse off than before the payment. Those paycuts will echo down through the rest of my years. Always short. In the end, a lot more than that check added up to. Meanwhile, friends have talked about how hard taxes hit them this year.

  • Insults again? Get a new line, this one stinks.

  • videos! excellent!

  • This guy totally deserves to be president.

  • Ok, can someone fill me in as to what's going on?

I know it's a stupid question to ask, but I have no clue because I haven't been keeping up to date with this stuff.

Plus what's up with people being for or against this Ron Paul guy?

  • Millions of unemployed face years without jobs-New York Times. Thanks for the stimulus

  • For whomever who disagrees with Ron Paul, I want to hear why... please, give me one topic of his you disagree with. I have yet to hear anything other than, "hes too libertarian" which means nothing. PLEASE ANYONE, ONE TOPIC YOU DISAGREE WITH AGAINST RON PAUL?

  • Wrong, he does not support the status that corporations were granted by government issuing them individual rights. He opposes it. Yes free markets, no to unethical capitalism. Capitalism is only the ideal once you accept the philosophy of individualism. Once you accept capitalism, you must abide by its ethics. Creating and destroying your own markets through government intervention is what you and Dr Paul can agree on as the problem concerning this issue.

  • The thing is that this view ignores the FACT that all people are not going to behave by the same 'ethics'. Capitalism, as great as it is, has a few flaws that Libertarianism ignores.

  • such as.... and what is the solution...?

  • That's a great question. What IS the solution? Should we continue as is? No, that hasn't worked so far, and only a fool does the same thing and expects different results.

Should we just unleash the corporations and let them run willy nilly? Well, in a sense, the lack of rules and accountability is what created the last crash, so that's a shitty idea.

  • wrong, the existing REGULATION through its system of winners and losers coupled with the federal reserve's inflationary policy have strangled legitimate small business, and propped up mega business, which owns both parties. government intervention is the problem. with out favors from government, big business and international banks would never have been able to suck all of our wealth away. i encourage you to read Dr Paul's free books, they are fairly short but dense.

  • Govt intervention AFTER the crash made things worse, yes, but a lack of rules and transparency was what what allowed the crash conditions to arise in the first place. Read a piece called "Wall Street's Bailout Hustle", I know it was posted in Rolling Stone

You don't get to blame the government for everything

  • i'm not blaming the government, i'm blaming people's religious faith in government to fix problems. i am only blaming government for what it did, give away monetary policy to a private bank. c'mon man, rolling stone? no thanks, i'll stick to something a little less mainstream and corruptible. it is hard to believe, but this crash was predictable decades in the future. i hope you will read Dr Paul's books. they are from the early 80's and tell exactly of what what to come 20 years later.

  • It's a syndicated piece, I saw in RS, its in a few other places as well. I read your library, you're gonna ignore my reading suggestion?

  • dude, it's rolling stone! it's a pop rag! i'm sorry but i prefer philosophy to commercial magazines...

  • And that's where we end things. I respected your input, and you assume I'm stupid and ignore what I say.

"But there is also a psychological dimension. It derives in large part from a tendency, common among smart people, to presume that everyone in the world either does or should think as he does—to take for granted that people can (or want to) strike his patented balance of enlightenment and self-interest."

  • no, it's just an incomplete philosophy to say "there is an answer, but i don't have it"...

  • It's intellectual honesty. More of it in this country would be refreshing.

Religiously assuming that YOU have the answer and everyone should listen to YOU is a destructive mindset.

  • i am trying to encourage a dialogue by stating my ideas, if you wish to deconstruct them, do so. like i said i think we agree, but you have not stated your opinion beyond what you DON'T agree with

  • if you "honestly" don't know, then why try to convince anyone of your opinion? look man, i'm trying to help you get to a place where you DO know. no one is going to make sense of this situation for you. i have spent 15 years of my life to find MY philosophy of life, and i'm confident in it.

  • i have an answer that no one can disprove with logic, yes. objectivist philosophy has never been disproved to me. assuming that there is no answer is destructive

  • I do not assume there is no answer, only that our previous attempts at an answer have proven faulty, and that , in my opinion, Ron Paul's answer has already been tried.

  • No, not since 1971 have we had real money. Not since before 1913 did we non-inflationary monetary policy. We haven't "tried" liberty in way too many decades. Your statement suggests that capitalism isn't the ideal, do you see that? You can't agree and disagree at the same time. Capitalism cannot be tried half-assedly. There's no such thing as a kind-of-free market. This is my point.

  • Life is not so black and white. You can have a 'free market' with rules to play by. Especially in our current state, letting the people with the most money make all the rules would be a disaster.

Is capitalism the 'ideal'? Maybe, its seems to work the best SO FAR, but just because its better than the other systems does not mean is isn't exploitable.

  • right, this is where we agree. my point is the "rules" must be consistent with capitalism philosophically, which means that they can only be enforced by the individuals within the society, not exclusively through a government structure that is so easily corruptible. and yes, if you believe in the individual above all else, capitalism is the ideal

  • Ah, there is your fatal flaw: "if you believe in the individual above all else, capitalism is the ideal"

With the implied assumption that everyone thinks this way. Let's face it, most people don't. Man is a group animal, and most people like to follow. Individualism is a RARE trait.

This is where the libertarian philosophy really falls over, I think. It assumes that everyone will behave themselves, if given enough freedom. I disagree.

  • no, it assumes that empowerment of the individual is the only rational way for man to live. the individual is the smallest unit of consciousness, so it is the only logical building block of a society. no one assumes that "everyone will behave themselves", but given the incentive of freedom to do so, more people certainly would. practically nothing is perfect, but philosophically speaking, individualism is

  • Except that in a practical, biological, psychological sens,e its' dead wrong. we are a group animal. We live in groups, we think it groups, we die in groups. Individualism is valuable, in that in generates new ideas, new direction, but the group a a whole is not individualistic.

Should individuals be rewarded? Sure, but don't make the assumption that everyone lives that way.

  • I didn't claim that it made anything but unflappable philosophical sense. NO ONE should be REWARDED for anything! self-determination is the key. We live in groups, etc by INDIVIDUAL CHOICE. Our society, devoid of philosophy, FORCES us into social groups, gay straight black white, etc. If we all considered each other individuals, civil rights would be a no brainer.

  • We live in groups because our biology tells us too. Individualism is a rare trait for precisely that reason: in pre-industrial times the individual did not survive.

We put ourselves in groups because its partly instinctual to do so, and society has not made much effort to change that. Another angle would be to view humanity as one single group, and then civil rights would be no -brainer.

  • "we put ourselves in groups" - exactly, individuals choose. i AM viewing humanity as a single group. for the group to exist healthily, it must accept and enact a philosophy. the only rational philosophy is for each unit of consciousness to enjoy self-determination, with respect to every other individual's self-determination. when you add money and property and rights into the equation you need government, a necessary evil. government must act with the same philosophy to work. we now have chaos

  • I worded that poorly...

We 'choose' to group ourselves because it is instinctual to do so. It's not a rational choice, its not even an individual choice, its part of who we are. Nature puts us into groups, and while modern society has created new groups for us to be in, the instinct to BE in a group is ingrained in us at a genetic level.

  • do you deny the concept of free will?

  • so we "choose" but it's not a choice? makes no sense, except to say that it is natural to choose, and the decision to choose lies within each individual.

  • i must point out how you are somewhere between individualism and collectivism. which is more important to you?

  • Both are valuable viewpoints, and both have rewards for mankind. Again, tis is not a digital system, in some realms collective values are stronger, in some realms individualistic values rule.

  • empowered individuals do not threaten "collective values"...

  • Really? They don't? Do you really want me to Godwin this conversation?

  • what?

  • Empowered individuals can, and have, endangered collective groups. Google 'Godwin's Law' for reference.

  • you said values, not groups. i don't give a shit about godwin's law, except for it uniquely encapsulates the western lack of philosophical reason. your insertion of godwin enforces my statement of the central struggle between collectivism and individualism. people always go to hitler because he is the philosophical idol of collectivism.

  • hitler was a collectivist, and your point is...?

  • hitler was a vengeful response the the harsh versailles treaty, a perfect example of statist collectivist behavior. hitler was the idol of a collective group acting against individual freedom.

  • no, they don't, but collective values do threaten empowered individuals

  • collective values change, philosophy shouldn't

  • You seem to think are society is devoid of philosophy without a purpose? it isn't their inlies the only power the political parties have to divide us so they can play swap the baton to further the 1 part 2 faction system

  • i don't understand what you're saying

  • I disagree with a lot of libertarians because they don't have real philosophy. I find they are just lazy anarchists without enough balls to say so. I am a rule of law constitutionalist. Until a better document is produced, I must champion it.

  • a free republic needs an informed, well educated armed society. you cant have pure freedom without checks and balances, if a gaggle of fools running around is no good for anybody, it will be a process

  • soooo.... collectivism? socialism? what is the remedy?

  • Again, good question, and the answer is that we don't have an answer yet. Every system that you could put a name too has flaws.

BTW, I'm not advocating we abandon capitalism, just that we need to be aware of its flaws, and compensate for them.

  • sadly, there just is no gray area between collectivism and individualism, a society must choose to trend toward one or the other. i don't think we disagree, but you cannot trust government to fix the flaws. THAT is precisely the mistake America made, starting 100 years ago with anti-trust law... followed by the federal reserve.

  • The alternative is a pluralistic or feudal society owned by Money-having royalty. No thanks.

  • you re smart, but 18. i'm not condescending to you, but 10 years ago, when i was your age i said the EXACT same things. you will have to choose between faith in yourself or faith in government, there is no balance, there is no agreement to be made that does not need constant maintenance by the citizenry.

  • Assumptions, my friend, make an ass out of me and you.

  • yes sir, and it goes both ways. i'm saying i've heard what you have to say because i used to say it. so you've read dr paul's books?

  • I read one a few years ago, and I went over to your library linked to re-skim. You made an assumption about my age, ignored my suggestions because it's in a 'pop-rag'.

  • i didn't have to assume anything, it came out of your mouth. look, we don't disagree, i'm just pointing out your crisis of philosophy. you don't poopoo capitalism, but i initially responded to you saying that dr paul is a blind corporatist, which is an unsupportable opinion

  • The unfettering of corporate America IS a corporatist position, and it ignores the power of greed and short sightedness.

Try to guess my age again, the old 'young liberal, old conservatives' meme is stale

  • i didn't do that at all, that is your assumption. i stated that when i was 18 i had the exact same standpoint as you.

  • "you re smart, but 18."

Don't lie to me, it's insulting.

  • i didn't lie, i'm carrying more than one discussion right now, i apologize for my mistake

  • oh, i looked at a different profile and thought it was yours. we are the same age, but you talk like i did 10 years ago, as if gov't can be trusted rather than scrutinized at every turn. i apologize for that

  • No, the government can't be trusted implicitly, that's not my position, not even close. What I am SAYING is that Ron Paul would give he same level of trust to the corporate structure that you assume I give to governemnt.

  • "Private sector" does not mean the existing "corporate structure". In Dr Pauls ideal world, all the bad banks would have failed, all the underlying businesses would have died, and I for one say that's a good thing, much better than what we have to look forward to when the dollar bubble pops. Dr Paul would endorse consumer responsibility, a balancing factor within the capitalistic system. Bad companies would get no bailout, and they would fail.

  • No economic/political system or idealogy is without flaws, you have to ask yourself what is the least damaging course to take. The one we have now is in real danger of destroying our currency.

  • this thing won't let me post a link, but google "ron paul library" and click the "books" tab on the website for the ron paul library. there are 5 free books there 4 of them focusing on monetary policy and capitalism as the only tool of free men.

  • Ron Paul is the man, he's been delivering the truth to us since he's been in politics, as well as standing up for our rights. He's a true conservative republican. He belives that the U.S.A will be safer, not by blowing up people in distant countrys, but by listening to them, and understand that they don't attack us because we're rich, and we're free, they come and attack us because we've been over there, bombing them, and messing in their own affairs for over 60 years. Ron Paul 2012

  • The real number surrounding unemployment is closer to 20%... good luck getting that statistic on CNN.

  • wow, really? 20%? That's crazy...

  • rubbish

  • What exactly do you disagree with?

  • Ron paul is the best republican out their but all these attacks on big government are very tedious, where id bush's small government get you?

  • Bush grew the federal government by about 40%, started 2 undeclared wars, created another departement, and pushed through yet another unfunded entitlement. Nothing Bush did could be called small government.

  • the attacks being "tedious" does not make them untrue...

  • @nbarrett100

"Where did bush's small government get you? Bigger government...lol...But you cant compare Ron Paul to Bush, Just look at their voting records. Bush got elected on conservative talking points but most people know it was BS. Ron Paul has written bills to limit government and audit the Fed. Hes the real deal as far as I can see.

  • atheist you are wrong- taxes are higher-the rate at which people are losing jobs may be less but there are no less people on unemployment-and the government is spending more and more money we dont have-

  • Thanks for the update Dr. Paul

  • The title of this video is a sham. The government is no bigger, the taxes are no higher and while we do have less jobs, the rate at which jobs were being lost has decreased. I know that Ron Paul's fans will downrate this comment because they place his word above the truth, but I've gotta say, "Fuck this video and fuck Ron Paul." He is a liar and you are all sheep.

  • @TheUnAmazingAtheist You clearly did not the watch the video you moron.Yes the government is bigger(he's spent more money in one year than any other president.Even Bush the younger),under obama's new Healthcare proposal today he is creating a backdoor tax hike read the summary it mentions tax 35 times, and we have 20% depression level real undeemployment. And he's created with his banker buddies another bubble. The real sheeple is you because facts dont matter to idiots like you.

  • so who do want to be president?

  • @TheUnAmazingAtheist Also you are nothing but a fuckin bully on the net who harresses 15 year weak kids like you did with your recent conservative pawning vid.LOL at you misleading data on taxes.Especially the one saying we have the lowest personal income tax in the world.Leaving out of course local, county, state and federal income taxes which would make it go above 50% and you know it.Not to mention other taxes like withholding and payroll.

  • Not to mention your lie on infant mortality and how Europe does better because they have "universal healthcare".What that does not factor in you liar is cultural differences like the fact we have higher substance abuse rates, teen pregnancy, obesity, smoking etc..which complicates the problem not a lack of health insurance moron.

  • Not to mention Europe skews its infant mortality statistics by not counting births below a certain weight as "live births", which massively underestimates infant mortality and raises their avg. life expectancy.

  • what are your sources for this argument?

  • @ThePhonyAtheist And you clearly did not watch because he mention what tax is going to be raised the withholding tax that was reduced will go back up and people will get a lower tax return next yoear and most people don't know that moron.

  • Says the guys who enjoys sucking Obama off

  • Amazingwaistiest=attention whore go back to whoring your lamb clan, you're nothing more than a youtube sitcom with a splash of grandeur

  • thanks I try

  • Have you heard that the Bush tax cuts are now going to be gone?

    *cough*thatsataxhike*cough*

  • Hey look theAmazingathiests drones are on their way with death threats and one starring.

  • @txa1990 wow...that's original

  • @Conquestidore Thank you i try.

  • You mean i debunked TJ the punk who picks on minors in his pawnage vids and has his drones go over and death threat people

  • you mean there are people who take that idiot seriously?

    now THAT'S amazing

  • Seriously.... He is the only true Republician I can find in office. He is the only one with morals.... Find me one person in office like him...

This is a man that did NOT support BUSH, DOES NOT support Obama he is not a fool following party lines. Please give me one reason not to support him?

  • I was referring to that "Amazing Athiest" douchebag...I with you about Dr. Paul.

  • It's namecalling to you when we point out logic and FACTS

  • Comment removed

  • Who am I calling names at?

  • have a thumbs-down!

  • If Ron Paul became president they would assassinate him in no time.

  • Listen up, republican party, FREE MARKETS AND FREE MINDS.

Fuck neoconservativism, big budgets, big government and legislating morality..

  • Free market=even more power for rich and many wanting big government back. It sounds nice but I have seen no reason that this will not be the case. If you can enlighten me please do. (I am not just trolling I actually want to learn as this is not my specialty).

  • Free market = if people don't like the big companies having power, they don't buy their services. If the companies are doing a good enough job to make people desire their services, then they deserve to still exist. If they aren't doing a good job, then that's a good place to go into business and do it better!

  • sounds nice, but to me it does not sound thought out(Reminder I am no economist I am a student philosopher). It sounds very idealist and forgetful of what people in history do with unregulated power over men. It also seems to base all value on making cheap crap that consumers will buy. The populous has yet to prove itself a worthy judge of anything.

  • @scottaplummer philosopher? Enough said.

  • All that mean is that I am studying logic, reason, truth, arguments, social contract theory, objectivity, subjectivity, the philosophy of science, and more. Possibly even political and economic philosophy. If you think that actually discredits me then I will assume that there is no need to tell you what non-sequitur means. I am actually majoring in Cognitive Neuroscience, but I love philosophy and the tools it gives me to be a better thinker rather than a narrow minded idealist.

  • It is actually very well thought out, look up Austrian Economic Theory, it's been around for centuries.

  • Is there any example of a free market system working?(an honest question not an attack) Ideally people would be able to express this consumer power now albeit not to the same degree due to gov. funding helping or countering it. Even if it worked out that the populace decided what quality was if it is all made in another country the "service" jobs will be diminished to a small amount of people with money. the middle class as a whole would not have an equal footing and would likely decline.

  • A true free market has not been tried. The fallacies of other economic theories lies in one of two areas: either neglecting long term consequences in favor of short term (sometimes the reverse but much less often) or paying attention to the effect on one or more particular groups of society and not all groups in society. We have to think about short and long term benefits for everyone, not just some short term effects on a subset.

  • Thank you. 1. time has no effect on the matter, many ideas have lasted longer. 2. I do need to look more into it, thank you for the advice. 3. you only gave me example of flaws of some other economic theories. What position does your preference take on it. What would you recommend as an accurate account of Austrian economic theory(within reasonable access?
