Had a sevylor 11 ft inflatable with their motor mount and boat boot, custom sole, and minnkota 46 lb thrust motor, worked nicely, 3.75 mph tops, and would plane at times.nice fun boat...
The canoe comes with mounting rings which are made to accept the sevylor trolling motor. I have seen someone use a rear mount with this same canoe also.
The motor has a 15 amp draw and Im using a 35amp/hour battery so I can get roughly 2 hours out of it. Of course a bigger battery would mean more time but more weight. I wouldnt call it powerful but is moves at a decent pace.
Hey, nice video. I'm about to purchase this canoe... have you ever had any problem with the motor in very shallow water? I enjoy river rafting, and often encounter shallow water. Thanks :)
Thanks I love the canoe, its very portable and well made. The song is called aint no grave but cant recall the singer. It was chosen from a list of artists made available by youtube.
I'm about to buy one of these too in order to tour the coast of the Japanese island which I live on. I was wondering what the carry bag is like - can it be used as a backpack? I'm hoping that a couple of us will be able to ride the stuff down to the beach on our mountain bikes.
The carry bag does not come with the ability to wear as a backpack. I actually had some I know with a commercial sewing machine add some straps for me to be able to do this. It is bulky so riding a bike with this on your back may be a challenge. Have fun on your adventure!
Hello again. My kayak has just arrived (with Japanese instructions). Am I right in thinking that I should be inflating to 1.5psi? I did so and everything seems very tight. Interestingly the meter read nothing for the first few measurements only to jump up to about 2.0psi a few pumps later.
Interestingly my Japanese instructions said to inflate the floor and then the sides, but the English leaflet which came with it said the opposite! Looks like one hell of a kayak by the way.
wat a tank

I had high hopes for this video to show how you mount the trolling motor to your kayak. Very disappointing that not even once do you show the mount!

Takes less then 5 min. I got the motor made to mount to this specifically.

@mroyutoob I was kinda hoping to see where/how you put the motor on and how much leg room y'all had. Good video regardless.

Looks nice :-)
Have you attached the motor to the boat, with some sort of mounting kit ?
Or are you able to just hold the motor ?

Adding the straps sounds like a good idea. Thanks very much for the response...yeah, I can't wait to get started.
