By far one of my true favorites...still after my band to play PRAISE (or any Sevendust)...saw these guys for the ninth time last week - met Morgan for the second time (got his pic and autograph this time - I was ready!). These guys are true underdogs, as they have become a mainstay, but still haven't made it huge yet. After 8 albums, live CD's and 2 DVD's you would think they'd be superstars...definitely bad-ass.

It`s almost like he`s drumming in his sleep man. It looks like he aint even trying, like he`s just havin` fun with his kit, just playin` with all the different sounds the kit can make. Awesome!

2:46 is one the coolest things I've ever seen on drums. I don't think most people realize just how good Morgan is on the drums because it really doesn't sound that hard, but his style is very unusual. You can jump right in and play most songs in rock, but not his.
Hey guys, Thought I'd clear the air up. Morgan uses Cymbal Springs. They allow your cymbals to flex at the top of the stand. He bashes the hell out of them, no trickery there. I've toured with him a few times. He's every bit as amazing as he looks here. All super great guys too.

3:25 and on holy fuck wow is that phenomenal, and 3:39 is sick as shit as well Morgan is a great person and true friend as well as an amazingly talented musician. If you get in contact with him at shows he is a very laid back, cool, legit guy that will listen and hang out with you.
You know as hard as morgan plays if you watch the guy he has got some serious technique along with the power, He just isn't bashing like he apears to be
Its true, his technique is very fluid and he has the power. I think most of the big movements are excellent showmanship. I'm not sure how often he replaces his cymbals, but I think he gets em to last a while. There's a technique (common sense for us non-rich folk) that lets you look like you are bashing the thing, but really not hitting it that hard. I use it anyways, Zildjian Z customs ain't free!
I'm about to graduate from chiropractic school, and I'd totally love to be Morgan's chiropractor...
