lol nice i have a wacom 4x6 myself i cant use it very good makes me feel like a choob when i use and compare to my friend LOL he has a deviantart account his names doghateburger anywho hes pro but nice vid! and awsome joker very well done =D what program was being used to draw it?
Probably Photoshop but as a personal preference I like sketching on Open Canvas(free) more because it looks more pencil like and has smoother lines. I leave PS for colors and effects.
Yeah, it was a CD I brought to class as I was hooked with him at the moment. I wonder if that counts as copyright infringement for youtube as they love going nazi about it. XD
It actually works the same way as the mouse. As long as the pen hovers a close distance from the tablet the arrow cursor will move in the screen to the position it's on the tablet. The mouse you have to place it around to adjust the cursor in the screen but with the tablet if you point a corner the cursor will jump to that corner, if you move it to another the cursor will go there, so you will always look at the screen and not even need to look at the tablet. Very easy to get used to. :]
I also had the same doubt before getting it. Worried it might be hard to use and I wouldn't learn but as you can see here he just picked it up for the first time and went with it just like he's always had it, no hesitation or complications. I actually took a bit longer than him to feel confident with it. XD
I really wish I could meet your teacher..such a wonderful artist...my own art teacher was nothign short of rude, uncaring, and mean to the students she didn't care for...
It would be sad to lose such a wonderful artist and friend...Again, he is in my prayers and I hope he gets better. I really really really would liek to meet him.
Look for clips here on youtube. And the thing is like pencil to paper once you get the hang of it. I always worried about that but it's very easy to use! So don't hesitate in getting one when you can. You won't regret it!
As I mentioned before, compare it with the mouse. A mouse pad is tiny compared to the screen but you can still run through the entire thing in that space, so same with the tablet. Each point of the tablet represents a point in the screen. Each corner is the corner of the screen. There's even smaller ones that I've heard people use no problem. Once you get used to, it's easy! You can always do some research too. :P
I got the Intuos because my grandpa could pay that much as a Birthday gift, but I've heard good things about the Bamboo aswel and the price is great for those who can't afford more.
Say, since you're an artist, you got an art gallery anywhere? I got one at deviantArt. (marama-tsg.deviantart. com) :]
Hehe, he's awesome!

Since it's been a while I posted this video I can't remember, but I think I had a compilation CD playing if it wasn't just Breaking Ben.

*objection* the first part is
it's all over *one-x* three days grace
Then, you're right the next part is
so cold *we are not alone* breaking Benjamin.

I'm confused. Lets say you life up your pen alot while drawing. How do you know where to put it back down? Does the screen show up on the tablet?

Just one question.. how can you draw with it when it's so small? I mean, isn't it a bit TOO small? D:

Ah, okay, thanks. I'm just ordering my Bamboo Fun Medium. First I thought of getting Intuos 3, but I picked Bamboo Fun because
1. It costs a lot less than Intuos 3
2. It's meant for beginners
so I can't wait to get it. I hope i'll quickly get use to it xD
