  • Great video! Love the Brooklyn style!! It made it even more interesting for this Southern girl.:))

  • @jdolani Hey thank you!!!!

  • How long do you set the timer for? You mentioned the vegetable setting at 125* but not the time.

  • @noremorse1488 There are no timers on excaliburs, or any dehydrator that I am aware of. You cannot screw this up. Dehydrate for 8 hours or 8 days. it will only get so dry. It is really that easy. Usually I can dry veggies overnight and they sound like broken glass pieces if I drop one on the counter.

  • I gotta admit it, I came for the Brooklyn attitude. But I have stayed for the great insights. I was a little incredulous about the whole home dehydration process but after seeing you do it, I'm sold. That equipment is on my Buy List. An observation: why not put in a single deoxygenation packet per Mylar bag? It seems like that would be less wasteful and more space efficient in the storage bucket. Keep making them vids with the attitude and intelligence that has become your trade mark!

  • "Family Interference" I love it, man! It keeps it real! Keep up the great vids, Brooklyn!

  • @meoff1992 Hey Thanks

  • hey, let them hands do the repeating! that's what Italians do! I don't use oxygen absorbers when I vacuum bag or vacuum jars. $188. is a decent price, for the 3900 model, which I have. did you pay shipping? The Excalibur Co. ships free. Your model looks like a 2700 model? The makers of that dehydrator says you should Always turn your dehydrator on for a few minutes to warm up before putting your food inside. I didn't know this when I began. But it makes sense.

  • Great tutorials you are sharing with us. Thanks.

  • The excalibur is KING. I love mine. Great vids dude. If you haven't checked out dehydrate2store channel, check her out. She does an amazing job showing how to dehydrate.

  • great great stuff - thanks

  • Great stuff bud, saw the excaliber & food saver...all that needed to be said!

  • Great video brother...

  • I try to dehydrate at least once a week. After a year you have a lot of food. I try to do 4-6 lbs at a time depending on the item. Buy rozen veggies on sale and save money. I also try to dehydrate more in the winter. Helps a little with the electric. In the summer you have AC units running. In the winter they produce a lil bit of heat.

Hand warmers make a great o2 obsober if your on a budget or in a pinch.

This is a great vid. Thumbs up prepper!

  • @SurvivalWithBushcraf I been buying frozen viggies like crazy....im trying to get my 1yr going

  • @brooklynprepper Good for you... I need to up my stores as well. After seeing your video about going with out friends I need to up my stores for more people. That was an enlightining video. Thanks prepper and hope that snow does not hold you down!

  • @brooklynprepper

  • You know your stuff! I bought one Excalibur 3926T, prayed for another one and bought the 2nd one a 3900 at a thrift shop for 15.00 24 hours later. I have had a problem with dehydrated corn poking holes in my foodsaver bags. Mylar would be better, but I do so much it is a little out of my budget. I have been putting the corn in a cheap ziplock bag and then in the foodsaver bag with the oxygen absorber. I keep my dehydrated bags of veggies in trunks in the basement. You know your stuff.

  • @PreacherPrepper Yea it took me a while to figure out the double bag to stop small punctures. I wish I would have seen your comment a year or two ago!

  • @PreacherPrepper you know the ziplocks sounds good. no need for mylar if you keep the light off it..wow

15$ ill jump on that anytime.....

  • @PreacherPrepper There is a guy on ebay that is selling mylar bags with the o2 absorbers at a great price. If you want I can pm the name to you. I buy from them all the time and he sells small or large amounts..
