Although the quake was scary, I have to say that lots of us are lucky, most of my family have got no damage and thank god it wasnt during the day otherwise there would of been deaths! I hope for the best for those that arnt as lucky
What's amazing is that it was not only one earthquake, but a combination of 3 that went off all together, i'm sure nobody was expecting this, but the damage was not as significant because of the better building structures we have in place here compared the ones in Haiti. It still scares me how this was not the big 1 and the worst is yet to come.
@jumpdance24 Well, thanks. I wish your David Cameron would say something. I think our PM would say something if a 7.1 earthquake hit Manchester, which is the same size as Christchurch.
@jumpdance24 very man nd his dog knows about all that shit you dumbass. the actual fault that caused the quake was blind. scientists didnt even know about it coz the fault was dormant for over 15000 years. so shut the fuck up cunt nd read up on our news before you try school me on my own countrys history. and im well aware that over the next few years there could be a series of 7s and 8s
New Zealand has 13 times as many sheep as people. They all have more brains than you. Most are better looking. And lots have more interesting personalities.
The original comment was concerning building with brick ! Now dont be an arsehole and go back to masturbating over lara Croft.
@jumpdance24 and now ur talking bout sheep. you weird prick. ur 1st comment was a crack at nz building with brick in a quake area. i simply said the quake was caused by a blind fault no1 knew about, and now your talking about sheep??? wtf has sheep got to do with anything. all in all, i wonder how you would feel if you went through a quake that big. sumfin youl only know thru experiance. no point in saying you have coz talk is cheap

Lets build a city where 2 tectonic plates meet and then blame god when there is a quake. Hope all you Kiwis are ok anyway.

@jumpdance24 Well that is true. You do realise that no one is immune from earthquakes. The one in Lisbon was really horrible.

@Skidzboy
No one knew about ?
20 quakes since 1845 of at least 6.8 in the south island alone.
NZ sits on 'ring of fire'.
Do you think it will happen again ?
In exactly same place ?
Read your own history !
You are just waiting for the big one according to stats.
hope you get squished ! lol
