  • I think you sound more like a Tenor than a Baritone....

  • This is wonderful.

  • nice job!!!

  • I really enjoy your voice, though it doesn't fit this aria. You do very well in the other ones I've heard (Mozart, Donizetti), which are for lighter tenors (which seems to be your case).

Your vibrato seems a little artifficial sometimes, so you should keep practicing breath support.

But once again, very - very - good material! Don't waste that voice! Work it!

  • I really like that :) I've been waiting most for 2:38 and I like'd that :)

  • Great voice. Well, no doubt more lessons etc would help, but to some extent you either have voice that will go there or you don't. You do. You do a better job of this than I have ever heard the overrated Domingo do, albeit only one aria, not in amongst a whole, full-on opera.

  • Woooooowwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good for you for having the courage to upload this video. I wish I could sing this well.

  • @weeburd1 Thanks Weeburd. It does take some guts. I sing it better now that I've been working on it a while. :) Thanks for commenting. Best of success to YOU!

  • Your voice-noise sounds like a racoon with sweat feet who has stomach trouble.

  • @kulturistimarsch

He had the guts to post the video and he's not bad....you on the other hand have not produced the 'goods.' You are nothing but an annoyance that goes round videos being negative. You must be a really sad b****rd.

  • @kulturistimarsch Haha! Well thanks for that colorful comment and thank you for watching. I admire your hair stylist!

  • He's probably not Italian, so normally, if he hasn't been introduced to the language in form of study, he's not going to pronounce it EXACTLY like an Italian, obviously.

P.S. - An "American" can sound authentic in any accent, as can any other individual who has a tongue for languages, or for a certain language. No need to seclude American's from the ability to pronounce Italian words correctly because if you've got the pronunciation down, you may sound like a true Italian. ;-)

  • @cuoredeinidi Everyone's a voice teacher on YouTube. It astounds me.

  • BELLISSIMO!!! stop belittling your voice, this is BEAUTIFUL!! *___*

  • @xxbabechulitaxx Thanks so much, Jasmin. :) xoxo

  • you are a clown but yuo´re a good singer

  • wow,,, two people who thumbs down are dumb... great job.

  • @jrnash2003 haha! Thanks. It is sounding even better now. Thank you for such a nice compliment. It will get better and better I hope!

  • -Bravo¨meglio di Pavarotti you sing!

  • I know when i hear a good singer - when it gives me goosebumps.

    I really like it!

  • @GadgetInspektor That is so flattering. Thanks so much. It sounds even better now, I must say. Still working on getting it right. Thanks for that.

  • Nice job!! =D Just amazing!

  • wow ... amazing :)

  • I love the way you sang that difficult piece. I think you are a tenor and not a baritone.

You also look like a tenor. Give your voice the time to develope and don`t loose your

    symphatic funny expression.

    Greetings Erwin

  • just EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pretty darn GREAT if I say so myself ... your father

  • @jaysrx Thanks, Dad! Thanks for, you know, making me!

  • @scottreiburn xD your sarcasm just rolls off the tongue

  • You are a fine singer and certainly have a big caliber voice that is filled with a ridiculous amount of potential. However, something is amiss technically that needs to be sorted out. I am hearing you going in and out of support--in the middle voice. That is really dangerous. Unique instrument though. Depending on where you are, I know of a lot of teachers (old colleagues/classmates) who I think are pretty awesome teachers, depending on where you are. PM me if you are looking for a teacher!

  • nice voice scott.....keep it going man.....the aria was very nice despite the critics...good job!

  • Scott, I also sound as a baritone and I'm confortable singing baritone arias, although I can hit higher notes (A/Ab). I asked my voice teacher about it and he said that when I hit this notes it's not a falsetto, but it's not full chest voice either, it's sort of a mixed techinque, I don't know the english expression for it, "peito soprado", it's kind of a mix but that sounds really well

ANYWAY, you sound excellent =) if you come to Brazil tell me and I'll go see you on stage

  • i love your voice !!! i envy you :)

how could you be so good at singing without professional singing career???

tell me your secret !!! lol xD

  • Nessun dorma is a very difficult aria, I like what you did, but you have to work so much. Singing is a very long road.

  • @angelomaiden666 Singing is a very long road? Really? it takes a long time to be a singer?! I thought I could just sing and I would have an instant career. Wow. Thanks for letting me know. (smacks own forhead.) Are you a voice teacher? How about a free lesson?

  • @scottreiburn I'm not a voice teacher, but I'm studying singing technicque, and singing is not easy, there are many things you should know. And classical music like the opera (Turandot in this case) is much harder.

  • Great job, as always, but you actually sounded like a lyric baritone here.

  • Scott, I hope you continue to sing, and I'll be looking for ya on the big stage. Anybody that gives you destructive criticism has never tried to sing Nessun Dorma. I wish you luck in all you do, and hope to do.

  • @seektheforce Thank you sir! Best of success to you too. Keep doing it! :)

  • sitting? wow...wonder how powerful your projection would be standing up.

I think the very end shows you are sitting down some...seems not enough air pressure and air left to quite sustain it as you wanted to. but yes...BRAVO!

  • try working on your operatic voice kk

  • @wizzywa123 Oh yeah? Try working on my operatic voice? That's what I should do? That is some really good advice. (smacks forehead.)

  • @scottreiburn xD sorry but tht comment u replied to was hillarious, good comebk dude and keep singing bro ur awesome at this

  • brilliant!

  • take the attempting to bit in the title cuz u totally did it =) great job dude, its very rare that you get someone who can sing this song in the same key and hit the high note, most ppl take it down a few keys which sucks! lol amazing tenor vocals, u used ur diaphram as well which im very pleased about, u stayed relaxed and u didnt crack at all =) amazing job dude, fantastic

  • scottreiburn Excellent! Bravo!

  • Very good, towards the end the sound seemed to start coming out a bit more nasal in the beginning. Might have been getting vocally tired. Constant vocal exercises to built of your vocal strength might be a part of it. I'm a true baritone that with constant vocal warm ups can sing tenor comfortable. If you want to pursue a vocal career vocal exercises are key to ensure top voice quality in your full potential range.

  • great!!!do u sing professionally???

  • You are a great singer, go to met, i think you can make a great carierr... Nice

    Bravo Maestro!!!

  • very nice mate! :-)

  • Caro Scott sei molto bravo, mi piace molto la tua voce sei un grande Tenore !!!

I hope we see more videos from you !!!!

    ciao Nando from Germany

  • whoa....nice!!!

  • Bravo, bravo. You should consider on going to the Amercias got talent. You are very talented.

  • quite good. one thing though: perhaps cover the second "vinceró?" (the one that's on the D). IMO it would sound more elegant, less choked... one question though. where are your passaggios? (i'm just considering your change from baritone to tenor, and wondering if should try and follow suit)

  • HMW...You certainly seem to "know your stuff". Are you a teacher or vocal coach or singer? I've found so many people come on here to criticize and be picky and not just have fun, the way I'm just having fun on YouTube. I'm not in conservatory, I'm just some guy singing Nessun Dorma. Ya know?

  • i'm a vocal student on the collegiate level. i don't think that i conveyed this enough actually though. to my ears, you are much more than some guy singing nessun dorma. as opposed to many other amateurs on youtube, you actually seem to know what the hell you're doing. hell, that high B was better than I've heard placido domingo put out since the '80s. i only pointed that stuff out cause i thought that you'd be interested in another point of view. w.e. i liked it a lot. cheers man!

  • Bravo! Welcome to tenorhood. Godspeed!

  • Ha! Thanks Johnny. It's scary. But also fun. Bravo to you too!

  • Bravo!

  • Grazie! :)

  • Take that, Paul Potts! You made it- you really made it!!!!!

  • Paul Potts? Oh blech! But thanks! ;)

  • @scottreiburn: No, I meant- take that! as in- THIS is how it ought to be done! Like YOU (not like him).
