Yeah it is neat. I have just put it back in the box for a rainy winter day.

The speed depends on the power of the batteries :-)

Lights are also on in the litlle house when the blades are turning.

I agree with you brett. They shoyuld have giving us 2 so that we would not be stuck in this dilema in the first place. I'm going to play with mine for awhile untill i'm boared with it. I don't believe that was Vestas as a whole intent, I think that was something made up here in America, but 95% of the people I know arent going to just give them away.

Actually it was. I work here at Vestas Assembly in Ringkøbing Denmark, the whole idea was to take thise windmills and go out and find a "Vestas Ambassador" and give it to that person. It was something that Ditlev Engel came up with together with Lego Denmark. Belive me .. they told all about it in the summer to us little Vestas worker drones.

yea Vestas is pretty well known already here in America with the commercials and everything, I put a high price tag on mine and if nobody buys it I will build it at my house and many people will see it there. I can do alot of selfless things but giving away something as cool as that isnt going to be one of them.

The first batteries were a bit slow, but with new ones it has more speed. But still it looks realistic

hey ppl,i have1 of these(my dad works for vestas),and hopefully i will build it soon an make a good video with step by step n all....just so ppl no their is only about 14,000 of these things floating around coz they r only for employees of vestas

19000 of thise where given to vestas employees .. they made 25000 in total .. and the last 6000 are being given out to people to become "Vestas Ambassadors" .. which is what the vestas people where meant to do with the lego wind mills .. but sadly many saw it as a way to make some money.

Well because the whole intent of thise wind mills wasn't for the employers to make money. but to make vestas a better knowen brand over the world. But i really dont care what the people do with them. I was selfish enough to open the box and build the mill beacuse i've always found it facinating to play with lego and build things. Most i know have given it away to their children or others. Some have sold it too, but only a small % have done so.

the memo released today states these turbines are not to be sold by vestas as this is not what the turbines were produced by LEGO for..

if u do find these for sale.. expect to pay big bucks
