The add is talking about the racism of others rather than their own racist views, and compares the negative views pushed on to black males to a negative view of brown toothpaste when really both can be harmless

@3GO3US I know, it's awkward. But this is largely a cultural difference. Many Americans would find that offensive, but in Thailand it's really no big deal that he turned into toothpaste. Also, that statement at the end ("appearances can be deceiving") is intended as a challenge to the viewer's own prejudices, but again, most Americans have trouble picking up on that. This is very clear judging by the majority of the comments posted here.
