Gods laws are in the Quran, and God has not said that listening or using musical instruments is wrong/sin.
As Peace4Egypt says, if music leads you to do things that are haram, then that song is haram (there is a verse that can apply to this).

@Peace4Egypt Just because "Imams" listen to music, it doesn't make it permissible. If "Imams" drink alcohol, would that mean alcohol is halal?! Are you telling me that what the "Imams" say are more important than following the Qur'an and Sunnah? “Among my ummah there will certainly be people who permit zinaa, silk, alcohol and musical instruments…” [Bukhari]
Well, honestly, as I said, if music leads people astray from Allah, then music is haram. The main reason music was haram was because it was the desert people who would play music and dance and party and engage in sexual activity thus music encouraged them and "helped" them do actions that were haram. However, is music reminds you of the wonder of Allah, if music helps you to PRAISE Allah, I highly doubt ALLAH THE MERCIFUL is going to punish me.
@Peace4Egypt Stop making rulings like you are a Shaykh. The Sharia is straight forward and clear. Music is HARAM- whether it's used to praise Allah or not. There are no exceptions. For a detailed answer, go on islam-qa . com/en/ref/5000/music [take out the spaces].
"im muslim and i proudly listen to music." sorry but thats totally contradicting. im muslim too, and my fathers an imam so my family and i are evidently religious, and yes, i also listen to music, i love to sing also. & this may surprise you but my favorite genres rap.. but no. its not something i would say im "proud of." music is not haram. but listening to too much is makruh.. aka frowned upon & same goes for listening to those with bad lyrics.
So if it's contradicting, you're a hypocrite and have no right to judge me for what I do as you do the exact same thing. And if you are not proud of it, so why do you listen to music and even sing?
And re-read what I just said. If music leads you to do things that are haram, then music is haram... if music leads you to Allah, it is not haram... which is exactly what you just said...
first of all, quote the sentence where i judged you. you dont even know what you're talking about. & i also talk behind peoples backs sometimes, does that mean i have to be proud of it? idiot. NOWHERE in my comment did i say "you're wrong when you say music is haram" because you DID NOT say music was haram. i was just re-stating what you said, to help clarify to others. dont get an attitude when you know nothing about your own religion.
im allowed to express my feelings however i please. respect? you know nothing about respect. my first comment was 100% respectful and you replied, calling me a hypocrite. however, i AM sorry for calling you an idiot, afterall, you ARE muslim, so i apologize for that.
@MrBosul6an I think you didn't understand what I said and meant ... and what you trying to say here is that when most muslims will drink alcohol, alcohol will become halal? hehe sounds like Arab rationality. On top of that you said chanting is music! hilarious! exactly bro calm down and stop judging people.
actually i like the lyrics especially when he sayin joum'aah joum';aah evrybody is lookin for mercy and el ajer... omg i really liked it.. foor to foot shoulder to shoulder... god bless ya... Joum;aah
More Muslims LISTEN to music than those who do not. And many IMAMS debate whether music is haram or not.
If the words are bad, and lead people to do bad things, then music is haram. But is music says good things and leads people to Allah then music is not haram. (As many IMAMS will gladly say).
Also, do you know when you read the Qur'an you chant? And CHANT is a form of music?
Calm down... and if you don't enjoy music, DON'T click on MUSIC LINKS and say stupid things...
what the profhet (pbuh) did was putting hes hands before hes ears if he heard any one playing forbidden instruments but your intention is good but if you go look at the hadith and the qoran you may not play that instrument just the duff
its fryday and you play haram instruments which is haram and raise your voice which sounds close like a women is also please brother use the duff next time
i've lost alot of time not watching this! its more than amazing , great cover, great lyrics , I love it so much this cover the idea is more than fantastic who thought of this idea is great! :D im speechless actually
@khazagard if u were just singing without any instruments then it might hav been ok (im not 100 percent sure) but the fact that he sang with instruments in the background that is what makes it haram
@97garlic the hukum of music in islam is actually a khilaf, there are difference in opinions and perceptions among the ulama. Most ulama nowadays are likely to that music is permissible as long as it does not containing haram matters and not distracting from ebadah and responsibility. Among them are Dr. Yusuf al-Qaradhawi, Syeikh Muhamad al-Ghazali and Dr. Ali Jum’ah (Mufti of Mesir).
(String instruments are haram). Lets say that music wasnt haram, if you keep listening to it when you need to pray or make dua then the song is gona keep coming back to you and you might say that u will be able to block it out but shaytan will fight you and will try and distract you. all i am tellin you is that it is best to stay awaay from music and musical instruments
Inshallah i pray to Allah to guid us all on the straight path ,
@97garlic Not all music is haram only some music are.As long as the music tell us about good things about islam then it is halal which is call "Nasheed".Hope this is correct.
Ur sayin this song is stuck in your head but how are you going to concentrate during ur jummah prayers let alone all the 5 daily prayers :| ... Just think about it
Astaghfirullah , you should be ashamed of your self this is not what the prophet (saw) told us to do isit? Gonna start playin guitar on jummah are u thick in the head and all these people sayinn mashallah need to fix up? Music is haram therefore this is haram.if u have time to waste listenin to rubish why not listen to the quran and lighten your hearts instead of listening to this filth

@khazagard if u were just singing without any instruments then it might hav been ok (im not 100 percent sure) but the fact that he sang with instruments in the background that is what makes it haram
Inshallah may Allah guide us on the right path

Inshallah i pray to Allah to guid us all on the straight path ,
Ameen.
