I remember seeing this awesome trance DJ named Jeremy at a music fest/rave in Oregon in 2000. Awesome, super nice guy and sold me one of his CDs. Then when I was playing GTA3 I heard Rise FM and I thought... Wtf... This sounds eerily familiar. But it couldn't POSSIBLY be that super underground dude I met at Tomfest 2000 no way!

Did my research online, turns out Jeremy went on to start Slyder and do the music for Rise FM. Small, awesome world. GTA3 had the best soundtrack.

I remember searching for this after finding it in the game credits.. Boy was I pissed when I found sod all. NOTHING on the tinterwebs. I derped.

So I recorded directly (got it on PC)... For god knows how many years Ive been driving around in the car with Andre riding shotgun! LOL! It almost seems empty without him as the MC.

GTA was my favorite, a lot picked Vice City, but this one was where it started with the 3d look to it, and funny missions. It was so much fun. I liked catching the ferrelli brothers before getting into the car and blowing them up, then it was a smooth ride with no one trying to kill you, I even broke the trunk so you could see the dead brother in the back as you drove to the scrap yard lol. Memories.

Rise and Flashback (Scarface Soundtrack) were my favorite GTA3 stations, I also like the DnB on MSX but the DJ rambling over it all initially put me off it.

For Vice City Wildstyle was my favorite and got me into 80s electro hip hop. That said, IMO most GTAs before 4 had great memorable music across various stations. GTA4 mainly just had the forgettable modern generic (C)rap and pop that is on normal radio.

The first GTA track ever was fantastic, Gangster Friday. "Let's go for a joyride."
