  • Not everyone has laptops that old!

  • Gehandhabt

  • A. His son didn't fix the computer.

    and

    B. Ignoring A, he didn't even have the decency of replacing it with a computer.

  • I thought there was a wall there

  • Ahh cute ad, I love your ads. <:

  • Sounds like Demetri Martin.. is it?

  • lol he therw a pc

  • Son: FIXED IT!

Dad: Wait, This is not my computer...

Son: I know! I bought one for you :D

Dad: What?... All my Importaint documents were on there...

    DAD: WTF!!!

  • If the chrome book looked as rugged as the dads computer, I would definitely get one, but the chrome book looks like a tampon so I don't want one.

  • It certainly looked like there was a wall there...

  • dad's laptop was better

  • Does the hammer get paid to do nothing !?

  • Why replace a full computer with a losser one?

  • Did you guys hear about the kid who ruined his dads work computer and hard drive just to make a triforce?

  • Put cc on XD

  • My face when Dad's computer looks like a CR-48.

  • instead of paying money to fix the computer why not install linux FOR FREE

  • well i better install my programs on there, oh wait i cant

  • That awkward moment when you realize it was his screensaver..

  • Huh, Okay!!!

  • No use a Chromebook dad. It Is Fast.

    Pops Head Back on.

  • omg dubass, i hate all the people breaking stuff.

  • "Great, son. A nice new laptop. Time to get down to some video editing. What do you mean it can't edit videos?"

  • @thekeyring In fact, you can edit videos quite nicely. I use JayCut. There are a bunch of others too. They are all web-based editors, but a few of them operate using HTML5 offline capabilities. Of course you're probably a MacBook user, but it doesn't really matter. I can edit for around 9 hours without plugging into the wall charger and you can operate for about... 3-4.

  • Actually, I don't own a MacBook, but I'm looking to purchase a MacBook Pro. I'm actually not sure about battery life... but I could pull out a MacBook or even an iPad on a train to central London and edit video, not so with a Chromebook.

  • clearly shows that google doesn't care about "data".

  • For a watered down netbook that barely does anything, these ads are really pretentious and arrogant.

  • I clicked because I saw the thing on the right on the pic. =\.

  • And this is how you fix your dad's Chromebook.

BoneyHead gives his Dad a MacBookPro.

  • @BoneyHead959 No, you wait 3 years for a new one.

  • @SonicAudiosurf2 No I don't. :D

  • Chromebooks are SLOW!

  • Dad: Let's open Microsoft Office!

*scrolls to the place where the start button is*

    Dad: WHAT THE FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

  • lmfao...good advert!

  • i love playing it in slow motion then speed up

  • It's also how to back up a chromebook.

  • put this on half speed... lawls

  • at least his old laptop could be used for something other than the internet

  • great idea! lol

  • Google:This is how you fix your dad's computer with a Chromebook

Me:I'm ready *Put hammer beside my dad's computer*

    Google:*Push away dad's computer*

Me:*Smash dad's computer with hammer* WTF

    Google:My bad

    Me:Yes you are!!!

  • BSOD Vs Google.... sooooo...pa? XD

  • i thought this was how to backup a laptop

  • fail that blue screen of death is a windows VISTA/7 and the computer is not new enough to even run 95

  • at 2x faster, it sounds like a mixture of a turret and the emergency testing boive from portal 2

  • Son:*pushes computer off ledge*

    Dad:IS MY COMPUTER FIXED YET!?!?

    Son: Um....

    Dad:WHERE IS MY FRIGGIN COMPUTER?!?

    Son:Here it is? *shows book*

    Dad:DAMN IT THAT'S NOT IT!

Son:*Points at broken laptop on floor*

    Dad:NAAAAAAAAAAA*explodes*

  • @luigimario54321ful I think the son forgot the little ribbon,

otherwise the dad wouldve totally digged it

  • hot voice :O

  • @xLoliChiDesuu ikr, I searched the comments page for the word "voice" to see if anyone else said it first haha

  • this is how i fix a cromebook:

Oh wait you cant it has no bios,

  • chromebooks aren't pc. they are made-for-internet. it's like comparing a laptop and a tablet: they're different. it's logical that if you use internet AND, you buy a thing that let you use internet AND. by a macbookpro user

  • WTF IS A CHROMEBOOK

  • If anyone ever had a macbook, you'll see they're much more to computers than the web. Take iLife, for example.

  • Chromebook: As reliable as a macbook, but with less features

  • @William44isme Windows 7: More reliable than Chrome and OSX, but with more programs.

Windows Vista, and sometimes XP: Yeah, I'd rather have OSX or a Chromebook.

  • @spartalaughs windows and reliable,

because bugs get fixed so quikly on windows

  • LOL I would watch these whole day :) *tears*...Who's the genius behind these ads?lol

  • I did like you said above, my Dad just sent me to boarding school. Thanks Google (y)

  • Very funny ... but where can one get a chromebook??? Very funny ....

  • *knocks macbook off*LIKE A BOSS!

  • @sanandreaslover201 I know its a joke but knock off a macbook, the owner would probably kill you.

  • I'd replace his computer too if he was running Windows 95.

  • I won't do that. My dad will get angry if I discard all files stored in the laptop.

  • The Chrome Book Has A Crappy Memory

  • @littlesam1011 It's a netbook, don't expect power.

  • my dads computer doesnt need fixing, but thanks anyway.

  • i love the music at the end

  • My dad doesnt use the Internet ... -_-" sooooooooooo

  • this is how you inprove a chromebook take the hammer that is there for no reason and smash it

  • Maybe he was trying to 'back it up'...

  • Lol that was funny

  • If I replaced my Dad's Mac with a Chromebook, I think he'd kill me.

  • It's a mix of a BSOD and the bomb from vintage Macs.

  • @N64xKING OR you can just get a Chromebook :)

  • No. It's grab a Chromebook, take your Dad's computer, and toss it out the window. Or, you can do that.

  • LOL.

  • @BartolBabich Ram means Random Access Memory.

  • I'm gonna remake the old classic windows BSOD into the Bomb Icon Of Death a.k.a BIOD

  • @atomjelly EDIT: But, first of all, how am i going to do that?

  • The people who are making these new ads are the best. They make it simple, funny, and easy.

  • Chrome book is designed to surf the web, poast comments on youtube and do generall web trolling.

It's not meant to replace your masturbation station.

  • Comment removed

  • To all the people saying "Fuck the Chromebook!"

They never said it was meant to completely replace a PC. That was a laptop. What do people use a laptop for mainly? Websurfing. What do people use a desktop PC for? Everything else and possibly gaming. I have 2 desktops and a laptop and I'm intrigued by this product.

I like the fact that it has an 8 second boot time and that it's all synced with Google. I also plan on keeping my other computers ALONG with this one. I'd never get rid of my laptop.

  • "Learn PC"? seriously...

Isn't a cromebook a *lightweight* PC runnig ChromeOS?

It's practically a linux distro with all the pros and cons of that, or do you think PC==Windows?

  • oh i see what you did there, that hammer. We were expecting something else :o

    i gotcha.

  • Damn, he really shouldn't have waxed the table before he tried to fix the old computer :P

  • XD This is the best one yet. XP

  • genius. love it.

  • Fuck the chromebook, learn PC and save money.

  • @vid1688 it's not about learning, it's about all the people who picked on computer users in the 80s and 90s for being nerds are now the primary market for the computer industry, and all they do is watch YouTube, look at porn, check facebook, look at porn, check their email, look at porn, and twitter about the porn they're looking at.

It's the future of the industry, distilling it down into what's most profitable, and if that means tossing us geeks to the wayside, so be it.

  • Comment removed

  • @BartolBabich I was making a joke about how the Avenue Q song says that the "internet is for porn" as well as Google's search statistics showing that the majority of searches are for porn.

  • I tried showing my old dad an IPad. He hated it. I taught him a few lines of the Linux terminal. Loves it. Newer isn't always better. However, he was using one of the newest Linux distros.

  • Definitely an interesting way to fix a computer!

  • Wtf is a hammer doing there?

  • @stgmilleralive he hit the old laptop to brake it in order to make BLUE SCREEN OF DOOMNESS

  • @stgmilleralive To string the audience into expecting something else.

  • @stgmilleralive so it made it look like he was going to smash it with the hammer

  • @stgmilleralive Closing Jobs´ coffin.

  • @stgmilleralive It represents 'fixing'

  • @YourComputerExpert see my vids to learn herbs like coriander, dill, dock, dandelion, kelp etC

  • @stgmilleralive To act as a "red herring" so you think he'll smash it with the hammer but instead, he smashes it with the laptop

  • @stgmilleralive Just in case Jeremy Clarkson turns up to fix it.

  • @stgmilleralive

To make you think that hes gonna fix the computer with it.

  • @stgmilleralive

I'm sure his dad can not be touched.

  • @stgmilleralive Is for Chomebook. To fix it.

  • @stgmilleralive the hammer is there to fix the chromebook, since i guess thers "nothing to fix" ;)

  • @stgmilleralive it is to giv u the impression that he was gna smash it up with the hammer xD

  • @bonkadventure2

Ive had 3 year's experience with DOS....

  • shame about the tiny screen. Bring out an 18 and 21 inch model and then we'll consider buying.

  • @EmperorKabir ... Have you seen a 21 in. laptop? You would need a god damn suit case to carry it around in... a LARGE laptop has a 17.3 inch screen a normal laptop has a 15.6 and then depending on what resolutions you want there are 14, 13.3, 11.1 and some others like sony has weird resolutions.

  • @N64xKING

So true, I was born in 99 and I still think computers would be superiour if we could just run DOS.

  • haha I'm sticking to my MacBook, but I have to say these commercials are pretty damn funny.

  • @cutedounut Chrome book does not compete in the same market as a MacBook. You're a stupid apple sheep. This is comparable to an iPad with a keyboard.

  • @phearz0r I'm sorry to say that I'm not a sheep, but if you are then thats okay. Sheep are pretty cool though with their wool and what not.

  • @cutedounut sorry mate, only an apple sheep would compare a fully functioning computer, a MacBook, versus a cloud computer which is basically just a terminal.

  • @jokergd I know, I know. When I said that I was sticking to my MacBook I meant that I wasn't going to get one, but it looks pretty tempting and cool. haha this argument thing is pretty funny...

  • Comment removed

  • @N64xKING To old fashioned...

  • lol

  • This is how you blend a Chromebook.

    *KUHSUHHDUIUIIFFJFJJDIISSSHSHHHSHSHSH*

  • Ouch

  • I think most people who oppose Chrome don't understand how useful these are for education and most home users. People say, "just port android" but one of the reasons Chrome will succeed is because of it's safety. Not to mention with HTML 5 and WebGL, nearly every program could be webapp. It's just sad that so many educated people are missing the point here as it flies 10 years above their head.

TL:DR Tech people think Chrome OS sucks but they're shortsighted and ignorant to programing options.

  • lmfaao i love these commercials

  • but what if they program?

  • msrp sux it doesnt happen.. make it $200 and ill buy it..

  • why the hammer is lying on the table?

  • This is how you play Battlefield 3 on Chromebook

*Places Xbox 360 + HDTV on chromebook*

  • @blitzac2005 Actually, Chrome supports WebGL, so they could make BF4 for Chromebook if they wanted to.

  • you think he's gonna use the hammer!

  • I only wish it were this easy. But my mom would complain about needing Office for school, and my dad would be frightened at the lack of XP.

Their current desktop is a 10+ year-old HP desktop that originally had 1 hard drive. Every time the C:\ drive failed, my dad "fixed" the problem by adding a new HDD and reinstalling XP to that, relegating the old drive to "backup" status.

It now has 3 HDDs in it and he's planning on adding a 4th. Oh, and finally increasing the RAM to 2GB.

  • good

  • Shit, a Chromebook is worth less than that hammer when there's no Internet.

  • @val0n3 People who are losing their jobs to Chromebooks :P (no IT support needed)

  • @Tech14Guy I am an It support... and i totally agree with you...

  • @Tech14Guy So are you suggesting that people make computers less efficient and more troublesome just so that people can have jobs? I don't think you'd like it if we did everything that way all the time.

  • our dads still use windows 95?

  • Most dads would probably murder you if you tried to replace their computers with a chromebook.

  • @Renvisoldia whats a chrome book? lol

  • @val0n3 Я, а что? Вы считаете нормальным разбить компьютер? А если там нужная информация? Семейный архив?

    ТУПОЕ ВИДЕО.

  • fail

  • It's dropped to $299 now, but I'll have to wait till I can play with the OS on other device first.

  • I did that, and guess what, my dad almost kill me!! thanks google!! :P

  • chrome is my 3rd browser choice after opera and firefox, so no thanks..

  • What's the song that plays in the end?

  • Google, you WIN at EPICNESS

  • Apple.....or die

  • You should've used a hammer to crush the old computer. STOP! HAMMERTIME!

  • great ads series ever

  • I Went On my dads pc and downloaded Mozzila FireFox then Google Chrome. Then uninstalled Internet Explorer. The next day went got his suit on and went to the computer and said: "Son, Theres no internet on this pc"...

  • Google, will you marry me?

  • Haha :D this is awesome :D

  • I hate Chrome Books!! The pilot program one made me so mad.

  • What model is dad's computer?

  • I totally cringed for a second as the old laptop fell...but it was for the better. ;)

  • lol

  • let me guess, jewish writters?
