Technical Illustration

I am planing on becoming a freelance product illustrator or technical illustrator.

What I want to know is how long did it take you to draw this? I am very woried about being to slow when it comes to drawing, and I always make sure that I first created a perspective grid before performing any illustration work.

@webstarquest a good trick is to use Sketchup and make simple 3d models that you can color later or use as reference.
