PHA should only be for seniors and the disabled. As it stands now, most PHA residents are able-bodied non seniors. That is backwards. The needs of the disabled and seniors are put last. All units need to be handicapped accessible, outdoing requirements by the ADA. I agree with the first poster, PHA housing in the scattered site program is full of crime and drugs, so how can anyone who is vulnerable live there?

These resources are wonderful, if they were accessable. I am a from Phila. & made the transition from nursing home to independant living. I've been trying to get info on help with rent. I need affordable housing. All housing units with HUD are in unsafe neighborhoods. A person with disabilities is a target for crime in such neighborhoods.
