i live here and i wont go near that chair if it turns dusk it is freaky as hell because i live a block away and a 13 fingered hand grave called the witches hand is about 50 feet away this isnt called the witches chair its called stacy's chair and youre supposed to go and sit in it on midnight on halloween it is really scarry
Even incredibly high end digital cameras that are designed to shoot in low light situations have auto focus problems in low light. Sure, the chair is a bit unconventional, but I didn't see anything that would make me think something other than camera issues are at hand.

auto-focus will zoom in and out in low light situations...with or without ghosts present...at least that's my experience using NightShot cameras...the mist is definitely interesting, though
why call it a witch. was this man's wife really a witch. i think that she is a soul who is lost and trying to find her husband,so they she can be at peace.
You will see a video about several grave sights at the end of October 2008 when I release my newest vid called: TECUMSEH TOMBSTONE TOUR III. The video will include; The Witches Hand, The Silver Bells Murder Case, The Lilly story and even Waldo.
I sit in that chair almost every sunday, i think it's pretty comfortable....and the witches hand....a bouquet of flowers....i love that cemetary though...gone pretty much every sunday since i was six
I agree..and it is not the witches chair, it is Stacy chair! Come on...we have Indian grounds here and underground railroad...you want ghost! My friends homes from Prominade need to be researched...very intresting. And anyway wasn't some of the graves MOVED to Brookside. Have lived here my whole life (33 yrs) and my self experienced things on Brown st.....living in a old/new home along with friends. Come on I would love some one to help me in the research! History is Tecumseh
Tecumseh was founded in 1824. It was chartered as Village of Tecumseh until December 14, 1953 when it became a city charter. You can read all about it at the local library.
Listen to Alex, I know that kid (Hi Alex!!!) I live not even 2 blocks from that graveyard, there is nothing wrong with that fXcking chair doodes. Get a life, seriously. I DO believe in ghosts and I have taken pictures in that sematary with "orbs" in them (The WALDO grave). This sucked. I know that graveyard better than all you little kiddies.
ok so my sisters bf sat in the chair on halloween at 12 and nothing happend it was just cold..so i dont really think this is true and my dad sat in that seat yesterday and nothing happend...
i have sat in that chair and i have been to the whitch's hand i counted the fingers liek 5 tiem and got a different number eachtime i walk in there almost every day
I live in Tecumseh..I used to walk past the chair on my way home from school everyday. Its amazing that these kind of legends are around town!! You should investigate the skeleton hand. Supposedly whenever you visit it and count the number of bones on the hand..its different everytime. Did it in 4th grade...its weird. That's also in Brookside Cemetary!
Wow - this brings me back to 6th grade when a group of kids from my neighborhood met and dared each other to sit in the chair. We all did but it wasn't on Halloween (too scared). That was 1982...and I haven't thought about it much since then. Cool to see that the legend continues.
Brookside cemetary on Union st. (North of Chicago Blvd.) The Witches chair is in the back of the cemetary under some pine trees. Centered along the back fence...sort of...
Legend has it..If you sit in the chair at midnight on Halloween night...YOU WILL DIE!
I agree with you. I only named it, "The Witches Chair" because it was dubbed that by others before me and it was published under the same tittle in a book called WEIRD MICHIGAN
sat in it tonight..

I've since used three different cameras and they all three have the same result (even when shot in the middle of the day)... Explain that.
