i did the exact same thing, but i did mine at the track getting cross rutted in a corner, got a mild concussion myself. Glad you're alright though, 13 mph with a direct impact on the head is all it takes to kill you unprotected, people tend to forget that.
@darkangelglue500: this trail is in Northwest Florida on Eglin AFB property. You must have a "street legal" m/c, i.e. at least a tag and headlight/taillight such as an enduro model, and have a permit issued by the Air Force. We get stopped about every 3rd ride or so, especially in the cooler months...
@ 216StealthSS: The GoPro is mounted to the left side of my helmet chin bar; I landed on my right side. The mounting I am using is also flexible, so it will take a fair amount of abuse in it's protective housing...
If you are able to stop and start the video right at the crash scene, you will see that it is not just a low-side. The impact was enough for the m/c to flip over and up into the air. It just happens VERY quickly, and appears to be pretty tame. To go from 40 to zero in less than 2 seconds is a lot of energy to dissipate.
