yes it is....take couple of snaps and use it to make your own map.

i tried google maps. very good. and I don't even need the satelite version. street view is plenty detailed for Czech Republic

yes many countries of the world are covered rather extensively on google maps. Not Korea though. That's why I had to use different type of pics.

hey septimiussk thanks for pm with explanation. for all those who want maps. Easy, find a desired graphic of your map. JPEG is the best (sizewise). and max 1200X1200pxls. Load it to the software and find out through the google earth reference points on your map.(at least two) latitude and longitude for both. once you enter those on your map...software will do the rest, assuming you got GPS set up right. but even that is done automatically in the soft. There, that's it...........

stan2672...thanks for the explanation...so all I got to do is find a reasonably big enough map of London, load that into software and find out the reference points..sounds easy.I'll give it a go later and I will post my result.

JPEG is best size wise...but I think GIF is ok and also PNG....check their website,but I think PNG's should be fine. Anyway You can convert it in almost any graphic software. hint: save as.....
