symbols are reused all the time with different meanings. the swastika was used by romans in the past before nazis for example its also was a symbol used in africa, the nazis simply *inverted* it. in rejection of other races much like inverted crucifx is used rejecting religion.

@SciNonymous10 yes, it is a truism that the Cross of St. Peter is identical to the Satanic Inverted Cross oft used by Black Metallers, however, the two are definitely mutually exclusive. In fact, it's more common for Satanists to use an inverted Crucifix w/ Christ hanging upsidedown in order to distinguish it from the Cross of St. Peter.
