Okay so he was a felon with a gun. Our amendment rights allow use to carry fire arms. If a felon should not carry a gun, a probation officer should not be able to beat his wife and still hold a job enforcing rules on others. This was a great man, all close to him know this. Just because one fucking cop gets shot because he thinks he is fucking Rambo, doesn't make Tony a bad person. Like it or not a badge doesn't make you a fucking hero when you live in Charlestown, population 600 people.

I'm very pro gun. But I completely disagree with you.
Felonies: aggravated assault, battery, arson, burglary, illegal drug abuse, illegal drug sales, embezzlement, grand theft, treason, espionage, racketeering, robbery, murder, rape, kidnapping, fraud.
All felonies are SERIOUS crimes (1+ year imprisonment). They don't have to be violent crimes. Grand theft is a relatively peaceful felony. But grand thieves shouldn't have guns for very obvious reasons. Same with drug dealers, arsonists, etc...
The US has more people in prisons and jails than any other country. Victimless crimes are like the bargain basement arrests for cops. Marijuana users vs Drunks = i'd prefer a highway full of potheads than a highway w/ one drunk. Yet alcohol remains legal and weed remains a criminal. Brilliant.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Weed is an INTOXICATING SUBSTANCE...like alcohol. They are both depressants. A driver on weed is under the influence of an intoxicating drug. Maybe if you weren't a pothead you would have known that.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Yeah that might have something to do with the fact that you can't just legally pick up weed at the local store. Plus you can drink without necessarily fucking your brain like a dumbass.
In any case no, the point was you're saying you'd RATHER have a road full of potheads when there's no damn difference.
Also, one can make a pretty good case that marijuana does less damage to a person's brain than alcohol. I don't think a peer reviewed study has ever shown that marijuana use has long term ill effects on the brain, whereas the same definitely cannot be said for alcohol.
There's always another way. Police HUNT for criminals now. They GO OUT OF THEIR WAY to find charges on people - even when there is no complaint or reasonable cause. Welcome to the growing police state.
@lnd3005 I would definitely say unlicensed firearm owners are criminals. What are you going to use an unlicensed firearm for? To shoot someone and get away with it, plain and simple. Now this guy had already broken the law, then he shot at police, but I guess you would think he is an upstanding citizen
@lnd3005 Well carrying unlicensed firearms is against the law. So he HAS committed a crime, by your logic, someone carrying Heroine on them isn't a criminal, cos he hasn't actually used it or sold it.
@lnd3005 Obviously they would be criminals. Whether I agree with the law or not doesn't really make a difference, the law is there. Deliberately breaking a law because you disagree with it is just stupid. Then you get upset at the police and the judges for enforcing those laws. You never see any protesters protesting at the time they made/make the laws?
@nosferotica1 Your asking why heroine should be illegal, mainly because people steal from their own families for a hit, it is highly addictive, drug dealers, generally give someone a few hits for free or spike people's drinks with it, get them hooked, then charge exorbitant amounts for it. Which leads people to stealing, prostitution, murder, anything to get money for their next hit.
So did all this stuff happen because they could buy it at walgreens, or are you utterly blind to the fact that every reason you listed is a side effect of prohibition (aside from it's highly addictive nature).
I suppose an intelligent person like you understands that morphine, methadone, and oxycontin are all prescription heroin?
@nosferotica1 Yeah, all the same stuff would happen. It doesn't matter if they can buy it over the counter or from a dealer, they still have to buy it, will still get hooked and still do whatever it takes to get that next hit. I take it you have never seen heroine addicts before.
@lnd3005 "If someone considers committing a crime, does that make him or her a criminal? " If someone actually starts preparing to commit the crime, ie getting hold of an unlicensed firearm, then yes I say it would. By your logic, if someone pulled a gun on you and put it to your head, then I grabbed him before he could pull the trigger and got the gun off him, then the only person who is guilty is me for grabbing the guy, if that scenario actually happened I bet you would see it differently

The purpose of the warrant was irrelevant. A FELON illegally in possesion of a FIREARM is a CRIME - it's the law stupid.
SHOOTING AT POLICE is a CRIME !
The Officer was compleatly justified in defendiong himself.
Police do not MAKE THE LAW - they ENFORCE the law.
You don't like the law, run for office, don't blame police !

Maybe if you weren't an ignorant fuck you'd comprehend the point being made. Let me spell it out for you with facts:
2006 Alcohol-related fatalities = 15,829
All time marijuana-related deaths = 1
Research it for yourself and do the math.

Marijuana is a stimulant, not a depressant.

There's nothing wrong w/ police hunting for criminals. As long as these are real criminals: murderers, rapists, thieves, and con artists.
Marijuana users& dealers, and unlicensed firearms owners are NOT criminals in any meaningful sense.
Busting somebody for smoking dope is like busting somebody for eating potatoes. It's ridiculous and unjust.
