This is real fighting. When you start making too many rules like the UFC it doesn't make for exciting fights. They need to allow soccer kicks and stomps to a down opponent and get rid of elbows which just opens cuts that stops fights.

I wouldn't call that owned. They both fought sloppy, and Iceman was the only one put on his ass the entire fight. Wanderlie is definitely over the hill, but you have to accept that Liddell is lucky as hell he fought Wandy now, and not back when Chuck went to Pride, and got OWNED by Jackson (who was raped by Wanderlei in the next fight.)

stomps, soccer kicks & 4 point attacks are an integral part of fighting. Elbows should only be allowed from a "STANDING POSITION" only. On the ground all they cause are premature stoppages.

This is real fighting. When you start making too many rules like the UFC it doesn't make for exciting fights. They need to allow soccer kicks and stomps to a down opponent and get rid of elbows which just opens cuts that stops fights.

And do you feel that running up to someone laying on the ground and stomping their face into the mat like some street thug is any better? I wouldn't call that owned. They both fought sloppy, and Iceman was the only one put on his ass the entire fight. Wanderlie is definitely over the hill, but you have to accept that Liddell is lucky as hell he fought Wandy now, and not back when Chuck went to Pride, and got OWNED by Jackson (who was raped by Wanderlei in the next fight.)

i think wanderlai had troubles with the ufc rules thats why he got hit with the elbows in the clinch so badly and chuck liddle has a big reach advantage . crocop looks like he just doesnt care anymore hes getting old and sometimes in pride he would go though bad losses as well thats why he was never pride champion and what about fedor he would smash anyone in the ufc .
i like both mma orgs just the old days of pride was the best but now these guys are just to old there past there prime

Now he's the Champ and he's going to be that way for awhile.

Haven't you heard that Mirko needed to get surgery, and wasn't fighting at his full potential? Shogun did show up in poor cardio condition, but one loss does NOT equate to him not being able to hack it. Wandy has gone a LOT longer without a fight than Liddell, so we should have expected Liddell, yet Liddell couldn't even knock him down, and was knocked on his ass twice. That is NOT "getting his ass handed to him" as you claim.

Shogun gased because he wasnt able to train full force due to his knee injury (which he just had surgery for) and he obviously underestemated forrest. But shogun will be back, he'll becom champion and dominate the lightheavy division for a long time.

Hey my man Fedor hasn't lost a fight in 7 years. Let me repeat that....7 YEARS. He's the last man standing to show people that Pride fighters can hang. I'm a bit disappointed about how Pride fighters have been handling themselves versus UFC fighters. Big ups to the UFC, those guys are tougher than I expected. Actually the Pride org has been paying a lot more for a long time. Only recently did the UFC really start giving out good salaries, and that's only to pride fighters with big names.
