  • I thought it was funny! BECAUSE it was stagey! Its that old fashioned way poems were usually presented until the 1960es and sometimes beyond ... not the way I´d like poems presented though ... however, Im open for different versions and use to check all that I can get if ever attracted to a poem. So Thx for this.

  • morgan freeman is better

  • what a fuckin joke and what a fuckin moron this guy is

  • nah to dramatic

  • 0:27 to skip the intro

  • Horrible. Way too stagey. Alan Bates(R.I.P.) did this poem for a UBS commercial. We should now prohibit any one else from competing with perfection. Type Alan Bates "Invictus"

  • It's meant to be stagey and hammy.

It's goof though that you have something to compare with Alan Bates' version

  • @dlanodsknib Shit....dont fuck with the beautiful poem.

  • @juiceknot I have to agree with juiceknot. The Alan Bates is superb, but equal is spokenverse. The movie is bringing out a lot of hams.

  • Morgan freeman was mad to recite this poem not this loser

  • whys he ad-libbing to a brilliant, (defiantly my favorite), poem?? Stop being pretentious and read it properly!!!

  • LOL, very bad interpretation

its "under the bludgeonings of chance", btw

  • This is GAY. This guy speaks constipationese!!

MORGAN FREEMAN OWNS him big time!

  • Morgan freeman owns this guy. The only people who deserve to recite this poem are Freeman and henley

  • You are welcome to your opinion of course although it would be a mite difficult for Mr. Henley to give us a performance due to death having set in.

  • Terrific!!!!!! I love this poem!!!!!!

  • Thank you - it's a rather old fashioned stagey or completely hammed up performance in my opinion....

  • This performance is meant to be stagey, hammy and over the top. I was trying to do it as an elecutionist might have done it 100 years ago - thanks for you comment though

  • awesome! hahaha this will help me ing my public speaking exams hehe we're supose to memorize the poem... thanks!

  • Glad to have been of some small service to you!
