When I said "No one ever said that God wrote a book", I didn't mean that nobody in the history of the world ever said it, what I meant is that "God wrote the Bible" is neither Christian theology, nor is it a Biblical statement. Griffin denounces The Bible, then quotes it to assert his own beliefs. He makes himself look ignorant. Like his rejection of scripture is based on some reason other that he gives. As far as blasphemy its no more that than anyone else misrepresenting God in their day to day speech and actions, and the point behind it is still misguided mostly due to lack of knowledge which any cop will tell you is no excuse.
