@101stArmysoldier she could be including his AIT, my mom kept forgetting that they were two seperate schools, and some people just call it all basic training to minimize the confusion for civilians not familiar with the difference.

I know other people have sadder stories than mine and each and everyone of you is in my prayers. My boyfriend left January 3rd for basic, and immediately after his graduation in March he flies to Texas for AIT until sometime in September. For those of you who make fun of army wives/girlfriends or the men and women who serve in the army, you have no idea what this is like. It's one of the hardest feelings to go through but in the end its all worth it to see them again
