  • British Juridical System is pretty fucked up

  • HELL! it's the producer, quick! 6:43 xD

  • 7:06 single greatest moment in the hole of Monty Python.

  • who in the name of all thats holy were the 26 who disliked this

  • @jrcbroolz Uhm...The Spanish Inquisition?

  • court hearings would be much more interesting if they actually played charades.

  • 26 people were found gilcup

  • you have been found not gilcup

  • Am I the only one who thinks Chapman looks sexy with the white wig and the glasses?

  • Not guil....

  • brilliant

  • Nobody expects the...oh bugger!

  • ♥ <3

  • And every one laughed about my giant styrofoam pen cap but who's laughing now hahaha

  • Gillcup is now a word.

  • not guilty case not guilty court adjourned

  • ANNT!!!

  • i went to court yesterday and was found "not esther williams"

  • it seems nobody expects the end, not even the spanish inquisition

  • All in favor for not guil-cup!?

  • I'm American and I really dont understand why this is so hard to understand for some Americans. I love monty python. Maybe there arent enough low brow sex jokes or something idk i love it though.

  • The Spanish Inquisition wasn't expecting to someone to not expect the Spanish Inquisition.

  • what a Fun way to have a court..

if only all court hearings were like this..

unfortunately the nature of the issue is often too sombre..

  • Comment removed

  • Funny, I was in court the other day and the judge found me not Esther Williams.

  • What is so devilishly difficult to understand about British humor? I'm American and I think Monty Python is a total riot.

  • "ANT!!!" lol XD It's always so helpful to have a giant ant model when playing charades.

  • court should be like this xD

  • The Devil's Gallop.. I was kind of expecting Sir Digby Chicken Caesar, not the Spanish Inquisition

  • @arnold08 Because nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition

  • knot gill-tea.......

  • I wonder if anyone on the bus expected the spanish inquisition.

  • I know that this is the point, but I got to say, I find it hilarious that the one time everyone actually expects the Spanish Inquisition...they're not there! Oh bugga! =)

  • "NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPA oh bugga" lmao

  • Not Guilty, case not proven, court adjourned.

  • The thing that gets me is the 'Q!?" part. Years later, John Cleese plays Q in Die Another Day =s

  • This jest would be not so funny if there wouldn’t be the wrangling of the two judges and the Pythons should have scrapped the word guessing and focused more on that, as an satire of the highhandedness of modern judges; but the jest is utterly saved when the judge in charge says that he is going to emigrate to South Africa in order to get some decent sentencing done, because in England he can only impose life imprisonment and that’s hardly worth getting up in the morning.

  • I'm up to HERE with probation and bleedin' psychiatric reports!

  • 24 people were found not guil-cup.

  • @unclebud99 LOL!

  • i wasnt expecting that

  • @OoMontageManoO Nobody expects.... er.... that.... I guess.....

  • "Then threw his robes over his head and emitted a series of low moans."

    Fucking great.

  • @blindthrall LOL

  • ANT!!

  • If only real court rooms were like this.

  • Nobody expects the Spanish inquisition, to be late!

  • Nobody expects the Spa- Oh Bugger!

  • oh bugger!

  • RyouKachi thank you

  • NOT GUILCUP!

  • Nobody expects the Spa....Oh, Bugger!

  • expect the spanish inquisition oh bugger lol and what is the song when there on the bus

  • @mimiko110

It's called "The Devil's Gallop", it was the theme music to a radio show if I remember correctly.

  • classic

  • ANT!

  • @OasisFallingDown Wow, that was a weird comment. First of all, why do people call the monty python sketches "English Humour"? They are a whole new category of comedy on their own...English Humour can be very intelligent and even if you don't like it, it is by no means "dim-witted". And what punchline? The Pythons were famous for their surreal sketches where a punchline wasn't even important...Oh and I like 2&1/2 men too but don't you think it's wrong to compare it with legendary comedians?

  • @OasisFallingDown Thanks for weighing in, Trolldor of Trollingard.

  • all of a sudden i love charades

  • I'm American, and I understand this...

  • They DEFINITELY expected the Spanish Inquisition. XD

  • Looks like the Spanish Inquisition didn't expect to be summoned.

  • Nobody expects the- oh bogar.

  • NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPAN- OHH BUGGER!

    L0L genius

  • 23 people are Americans. LOL

  • @TheAngelRussie 23 People didn't expect the spanish inquisition :P

  • @valepu86 No, seriously, how can you not love Monty Python?? I am not English, but I love them. Too bad they are... not anymore(((((

  • @TheAngelRussie I wish i knew the answer, people just don't understand :( i'm not english either (and in italian they had veeery bad translations, thanks god i know enough english to enjoy them in original language)

  • @TheAngelRussie ummmm eh emmmm I am American AND also Russian

  • @CPbroad So? lol What I meant was that, for many Americans, English humor is too fine to understand. xD But we, Russians, love it))))

  • I wish there was a sketch show like this nowadays

  • My friends did a little two-person skit where one of them was the Spanish Inquisition and the other was the one man who expected it.

  • I was always so disappointed at the end of the show - why couldn't it go on longer?

  • @robbiepat I guess it was because of Chapman's death that they didn't want to continue.

  • I still can't work out why he says call exhibit Q??

  • @landrover150 multiple layer joke,

Firstly its pretending there were so many exhibits that it reached Q

Second its always exhibit A you never hear any of the others thirdly

Thirdly Q was a show of a bout the same time (slightly redating) Created by Spike Millagan who all the pythons cite as their inspiration and they were frequently accused of wrpping off (they even pinched the producer) so basically its just a shout out to another show and to make the audience think of Spike Millagan

  • @Macca17 Thanks - that explains it.

  • @Macca17 You Great Britishers, you're so complicated! LOL

Joke. I love Englsih humor))) It's similar to Russian, in so many ways)) Cheers!

  • @landrover150 Cause Q is a fun letter to say

  • Oh this sketch is so brilliant! I remember seeing it when I was at school. And we all held interminable post-mortems on it at school next day :-)))

  • @jstoecker53 No. They're very much alive.

  • Get on with the spiel!

  • NOBODY EXPECTS THE SP..The End...Oh bugger

  • @jstoecker53 Only in England. And some in Wales.

  • My god... Best thing I've seen in a while.

  • Best ending to a TV show ever. Hey, they should have done this at the end of the Sopranos!

  • There is just one funny moment. The charades & the ant. Two funny moments, the charades, the ant & the not guilcup. 3 funny moments - the charades, the ant, the not guilcup .. & the two judges. Four funny moments - the charades, the ant, the not guilcup ..., the two judges & the description of South Africa. Five funny moments - the charades, the ant, the not guilcup, the two judges, the description of South Africa, the running for the bus. Six funny moments - the charades, the ant ... oh bugger

  • the ant..omg....

  • NOBODY EXPECTS THE........oh buger!

  • AAAAAAAAANNNNNT!!!!!

  • hahahhahahahaha, epic! In Mexico Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!!!!

  • You know, I expect that if the Spanish Inquisition is going to be late, they could at least have the common courtesy to call and let us know that we shouldn't expect them.

  • @KeswickPinhead That was hilarious. :D

  • @KeswickPinhead But if nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition then why should they have to? We're not expecting them.

  • @KeswickPinhead That's probably one of their chief weapons!

  • ANT!!! haha love this!

  • This was the first time I'd seen the end of this. I have to say that the last sentence makes the whole video worth watching.

  • Nobody expects the spanish inquisition...to be late.

  • ANT!

  • when i was on jury duty, all i could think of was this.

  • call the next deaf end *lifts the giant insect on the table*

    ANT!

  • I just know someone's going to yell at me for saying it, but that's the sir digby chicken caesar music. I knew I'd heard it before.

  • @existenceisrelative or, as it's more correctly known, "The Devil's Galop" by Charles Williams (1893-1978), which was also the theme tune to the radio serial "Dick Barton - Special Agent". It would be fair to say that this tune originated the style of music used for portraying 'exciting' moments of hurry; it only feels cliched now because it has been so widely copied.

    So now you know :)

  • @AYchip Cool cool. But I've really only heard it the two places so far. That I've noticed.

  • @AYchip I wonder, do you think the tune to Monty on the Run (also heard in I Wanna Be The Guy in the end castle) was inspired by this piece of music?

  • -Im not going to sentence you....

-I sentence you to be burned at the stake.

    LOL

  • The one time that people expected the Spanish Inquisition, they showed up late!

  • Call the next deaf end ant.

  • Not guilcup.

  • ANT!!!

  • just giggling myself to tears as normal with python....superb posts

  • SHUT UP! F'tang! F'tang!

  • @dharmaseed Ia Ia!

  • ......The Comfy Chair!?!?!

  • It's sometimes on PBS

  • this is hilarious

  • How can you find somebody not Esther Williams?! - LOL I nearly peed in my pants (sorry, but it's true! :)))))))))))))))))))))))

    Monty Python FOREVER!!!

  • @Evangelistaman

I know, but I didn't want to confuse him!

I haven't lived in the UK for nearly 21 years now I'm sure that there must be a few around still, aren't there? Not on regular bus routes, but used for special occasions or advertising or something?? It would be a shame if they were all scrapped!

  • @Nilguiri Of course... They are still iconic, if not in proper use anymore

  • @ainumahtar Actually, there are some people working on a new, safer design to implement, as it saves time and gas.

  • @Bestmanme08 You just hate Monty Python because there aren't any babes to rub one out to. People occasionally enjoy things that aren't cock-related.

  • 21 people were GuilCup!

  • "I sentence you to be burned at the stake". This is one of the first Pythons I got into in 1974 when I was 15.

  • "AAAAAAAANT!"

  • @randomandproudqueen Call The Next Deaf-End-Ant

  • 'Quick, it's the producer...'

  • I'd like to examine that exhibit A.

  • Seriously: What does a london bus driver do when it rains? I mean he can't close the door can he???

  • @75hilmar

The rain doesn't get in to where the passengers sit unless it's blowing a hurricane and the bus is stopped. The boarding platform is at a lower level. You have to step up into the raised lower passenger compartment from the platform which acts like a porch.

    ;)

  • Hahaha, they come out of a duplex ... haha

  • I love the very, very, very, very long set-up.

  • @dtek40k

I was expecting the Spanish Inquisition a lot sooner, which is my mistake as no one expects the Spanish inquisition.

  • They expected them! XD

  • NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPoh bugger.

  • All trials should be done in charade.

  • @OMGiamONtheINTERNET Exactly! Everyone would want to be taken to court :)))

    +10000000

  • It seems 17 people can't tell between the like and dislike buttons

  • What is the classical music playing underneath the credits sequence?

  • @swami1 flight of the bumblebee

  • @swami1 it is "The Devil's Gallop" by Charles Williams

  • @caljerpon3 Thanks. I knew it wasn't Flight of the Bumblebee.

  • i guess this was their way to criticize the apertheid. They hided some nice ideologies inside the sketches like man-mouse.

  • Fucking hilarious

  • He's not going to punish him. He's going to burn him at the Stake!

  • That was....Unexpected.

  • NOT Guill Cup!

  • U made my boring night at work great! Thanks for uploading this! :D

  • My philosophy teacher referenced this in class, and I was the only one in the class that laughed and looked towards the door expectantly.

  • If only people played charades in court in real life... XD

  • they got so much skill at sherades

  • This has still got to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. 'Bring in the next defend-ant".

  • MY LAD

  • @tmzilla It sounds like that, but it's actually "m'lud", which means "my lord". British courts are much more formal than American ones.

  • In this case, EVERYONE expects the Spainish Inquisition!

  • If only more innocent people in this world were found not gill-cup...

  • "It's the producer! Quick!"

  • The 17 people who disliked this video FAIL.

  • @CyberZak619

This is SOOO STUPID!! How can you NOT like this?

  • @tatersalad814 you're totally right there, it's a great sketch! Why people disliked it is beyond me!
