YOU are NOT doing your job!!! Voting for the Farm Safety Bill was a BIG mistake for TEXAS. What were you thinking? I will work hard to finding someone to replace you Senator...
@rationalnow thanks for you mildly comment, but if you think that was harsh, you really don't want to know how I feel. Merry Christmas and I'm glad the President has his Mojo back, just saying. :)
Yeah, I was feeling generous when I replied to you here but made up for it elsewhere. LOL You really don't want to know how I really feel about Obama either but I can tell you I get a big smile on my face when I think of that pathetic 40% approval rating.... just saying.
Look how nice and generous I'm being to you? I didn't even mention that you said "bun in hell!" LMAO
@rationalnow I did notice the bun, but I don't worry about mispelled words, you obviously got it without having to say, I meant burn. Well I guess you got the same smile for Clinton and Reagan as they had similar ratings. You will see with the "NO" on the "First Responders" the "Dream Act" and "NO" on the extension for Unemployment, you're party doesn't have a chance of winning anything in 2012. I guess you can run Sarah and Michelle, lmao. Poor thing.
@rrsrichard You made similar predictions when Republicans voted against several other liberal policies and the result was the biggest GOP victory since 1938 so I'm really not too worried about Obama or 2012. Our GOP nominee won't be a woman. After the disgraceful way that liberal Democrats and the liberal media destroyed Hillary Clinton their probably won't be another credible woman candidate for president for at least 20 years. Obama stole the only chance a woman had to be elected president.
@rationalnow well, they've always been dregs of the earth, but they've stoop to new lows. I keep my prediction my friend and you work hard for your disgusting party and we'll see where that gets you. Get some new material regarding Hillary, when I yawn, it's time to change it up a bit and I yawned and took a nap. Cheers.
Tis a Pyrrhic victory. (One coming at a devastating cost to the victor; one that carries the implication that another such victory will ultimately cause defeat.)
No one can logically deny that property rights are integral to freedom. The fewer property rights we have, the less freedom we have.
So where do we draw the line on the government's right to tax? (i.e., to confiscate personal property?)
Without a consistent, enforceable principal, there is no limit, hence, no individual freedom.

@scotchscotch In my opinion, the 16th Amendment should be repealed, and the Amendment that repeals it should also establish the Constitutional standard that no American should be directly taxed more or less than any other American--as well as making any sort of inheritance or death tax completely illegal. In other words, it would make any sort of graduated income tax unconstitutional, which would whittle down Federal revenue options to a flat income tax or a national sales tax.
Dear Senator, you have learned the wrong lesson. By first failing to draw a clear line between constitutional property rights and taxation, you have fore forfeited the basis for individual freedom in America. You have blown the opportunity to lead in this regard. Shame on you. Shame on us for permitting this.
America has an enemy... and that enemy has a D behind their name! Thank you, Sen Cornyn!! See you in Jan...when the real battle begins! To all you libs, we have the ball now! And oh just you wait! Know that America HATES you! :)))
You haven't learned sh**. You've breached our mandate not to spend with the tax cuts, and you let the military succumb to a marxist insurgency. You've failed us for the last time. FORM A THIRD PARTY the Tea Party. DUMP THE GOP
This is the same guy who said he put earmarks in the spending bill so that he could vote against them, or something. I'm hopeful that the rest of the GOP has learned something, but then you never know.
