for me its not really a main pc or laptop since i have my nice hp dv6700t (ie basically the same hardware a MBP last year was running) and netbook. however, i really don't ever use a cd/dvd drive on my laptop.
tell me, when was the last time you watched a dvd on your laptop? me? 5 months, my movies are in mp4 format these days or on my network drives.

@PalmyJason its easy. :) does require a retail app ($50 or so), DVDFab and handbrake (Free). def worth it, i have about 400+ movies in mp4 format that i can put on every device i own and mp4s + sony bravia tvs = great upconversion. engine has setting for it even.
Um the screw size for all Mac laptops is #00 Phillips

@seamonkey420 Last time I watched a DVD on my Imac was within a month ago... I don't know how to transfer over my DVD's to digital or mp4
