If I tell you that the reason the chicken crossed the street is for it to get to the other side you won't find it funny unless you knew or perceived it was a joke. Orlando might laugh with this arrangement as it captured the spirit of satire turned into a musical joke. Like a commentary of those days, Orlando was portraying how they flirted in his time, it wasn't all just pious or straight-faced motets that they did you know, they also had some mud on the face irreverence for fun.
@tuberobotto case in point to this mud-in-the-face irreverence is Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. Those uninitiated would think it was a serious piece of religiously affiliated songs in latin texts and think that "O Fortuna" or "Dulcissime" are odes to sainthood. One would know that Carmina Burana is a collection of songs written about debauchery and somewhat sexual escapades of the monks in middle ages Bavaria. Rude and irreverent? Yes. Serious opus? Yes. But there were some laughs from behind.
For all of you who are purists and detest this arrangement, do you really think that Cosimo de Medici would be perturbed if he heard this? One of music's wonderful qualities that sets it apart as an art form is that it's (when done properly) alive and always changing.
Fabulous ! Your sound is nothing short of amazing and the interpretation is fun and quirky! You capture the spirit of the song admirably. The strings also sound great and compliment the song perfectly. Who is the arranger of this? He/she has done an exceptional job. I am a big fan of your music.
anders, ganz anders! Modern, ohne die Tradition zu verleugnen. Nachahmenswert. Wundervoll, herzlichen Glücklich. Sehr, sehr schön!!!!! Thank you for your way - it is new and wonderful!!! Gr. from Germany.

@Matteo7419 Why? Jokes (especially musical ones) shouldn't be explained ;)

@samotulinus I think this "joke" is absolutely trash and really bad. Thumb down100%.

@Matteo7419 Do you know what the words are in English? Get a translation and you'll soon get it.

@violatione I'm italian, my friend. I perfectly know the translation of these words. BTW I thinks this arrangement is awful.

I don't like the arrangement. Seems redundant and way to cute for this stuff.

I like this version a lot. Fun and bouncy. My one complaint is not getting the rest of the verses included in the cover.
