i saw both live, several times each. With VR you're guaranteed a great show, every time. STP can be perfect or they can suck like Creed, it varied from night to night on their tour. STP's best show may be better than VR's best, if you're that big of an STP fan that you disregard the awesome stage presence of Slash and Duff for the sake of the original band playing their own songs, but on average VR blew them out of the water.

He was definitely in a good condition that evening; I was there...it was great and also somekinda weird and sad to know, that this would be one of the last appearances of VR with that line-up.
