uhhhh 1 000 000 divided by 500 = 250$ a car and yet at the beginning that guy was willing to pay +800$ for 1 car. Even if Megatron did keep his promise those 2 idiots would still lose money instead of making a profit.

Since when do hoods carry laser pistols? Come on, the decepticons are bulletproof, so using a gun should not be a problem. Using a gun in a cartoon does not automatically mean that kids will get one; sorry, that is no excuse to dumb down the cartoon. Bullets do not sound like laser blasts, especially when the slugs hit metal. I was a fan when the cartoon originally aired and even then, I thought the laser instead of gun thing was stupid.

The laser thing was pretty standard in cartoons made in the early 80s through mid 90s because bullets were thought of as too violent for children (I know, I can't justify that mindset either). As for the mall, well, you've probably seen how open spaced malls can be once you get inside the front door.

Actually, it's not that surprising. They often have cars displayed in malls. A section of the mall opens up wide enough to allow cars to pass through.  Though how Starscream can fit on the upper level I have no clue.

Using guns with bullets aren't allowed, so the animators use lasers instead. Blame the FCC

And with all the Cybertronian equipment on Earth, wouldn't it be possible that someone could've gotten the blueprint of a laser gun and mass produce them?
