  • i agree, Avatar was a terrible choice for Best Picture. Hurt Locker should've been the winner, Avatar lacked plot, good acting, and true character build up and connection. it was just a visually cool movie, and nothing else.

    District 9 is a great example of a movie with realistic effects and that is actually better. why wasn't that nominated over Avatar? it actually had an original plot.
