I love watching this. I like thinking at up until 2:07 is Luna happy with Celestia, then up until 3:01 is Luna falling into jealousy and evil and her good side being tapped within her darkness.

Then finally the big dramatic bit is the main ones defeating Nightmare Moon but also Luna fighting against the darkness because she remembers the good times with Celestia.

Just wanted to share my feeling on it. It's how I always watch this.

Good God if I had said that My Little Pony and Doctor Who were a match made in heaven, people would say I was mad. You know what, Doctor Whooves needs to be in Season 2. Not as a background pony, but as a main character with an actual backstory. And he needs to be voiced by David Tennant or Matt Smith. Actually, any of the past Doctors would be kind of cool, just as long as he's a lone Time Lord who travels through time and space in the TARDIS. Also, Twilight should be his companion.

Her backstory makes her a depressing character who deserves love. Although, at the worst, evil, her crime was countered with 1000 years of isolation. 1000 years is absurd for anycrime, and it makes sense that she would want to come back and get revenge which, at that point, she deserves. And she is robbed of that. She is a sad character who has been given nothing, in a world she does not know, surrounded by ponies who should hate her. She needs love, and is a sad enough story to get it.

And because she is never seen with the ponies in Ponyville, and you don't see her in her own castle during one of the grandest events and parties in Equestria, the take that she was given nothing is more likely.
