  • "Shame on you! Poor little frog suffering in the name of science! You sick sadist deserve the most painful of deaths!"

    ================

(If animal right campaigners used the same empathy with frogs as with cuter looking animals)

  • Your vid is a favorite on Praia

  • Frogger IN 3-D!!!

  • This is cruel. The scientists should of done it on something dead, so as to not put the frog through a great amount of pain and stress.

  • when i said about this to my science teacher like 1996, she didnt believe me and thought i was insane!

  • why an arm is missing ?

  • more like an air tunnel.

  • he licked himself

  • @harriisnotinabox Mag N tits?

  • It's missing an arm...did a french guy taste it or something?

  • imagine if you were high and then you watched this O.o

  • I am glad to se that frog is finally being punished for its crimes

  • Frog is like : 0.0

  • frog:I BELIEVE I CAN FLY!!!!

  • I have a question: This experiment (based on magnetics) doesn't make sense. Its basically like a super-high powered MRI machine. BUT.. you take a MRI machine (much weaker) and you put a metallic object (say, a wrench or an oxygen tank) and it gets pulled INTO the machine but it gets STUCK to the side of the inside ring. So if this experiment in the above video is the same, just a lot stronger: WHY DOES THE FROG NOT GET STUCK TO THE SIDES? This doesn't make sense. I have my suspicions.

  • @mrjustin5 the reson why its not getting stuck to one side is because the field is pretty much equal as it is in the core of the magnet and MRI machines are not equal nor are you at the centre core of the magnet.

  • @mrjustin5 its a magnetic field, its not walls that are magnetised, there is nothing for the frog to get stuck to

  • @mrjustin5

Its the repulsive diamagnetic forces produced by water molecules in the body of the frog that make it levitate in the intense magnetic field. Know your Physics!

  • @mrjustin5 You're confusing ferromagnetic attraction with diamagnetic repulsion. Metal objects are attracted to magnets because of ferromagntism, but ALL objects are weakly repulsed via diamagnetism. So, a really strong field can make a small object (like a frog) float. If the frog was ferromagnetic, it would certainly get stuck to the sides. It would also be very dead...

  • i bet hes like '' feels good man''

  • Frog is thinking"last time I eat an off colored mesquito!"

  • poor frog :(

  • diamagnitisem a vary strong magneticle filde that pulses on and of a bout 100000 times persecond ***supersize it***

  • Can you say...Nobel Prize?

  • What The Frog!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • anything to do with ed leedskalnin's coral castle?

  • Press like if Howcast sent you here.

  • how much?

  • ceiling, wall, floor, artificial pond paddle paddle oh crap

  • you have half of your description right. That is an actual live frog and it is levitating but objects do need to be superconducting to levitate, the frog levitates not because it is a superconductor but the water in it is. Water is a superconductor and any organism with a high water content can be levitated with a high enough magnetic field (including humans). However have only done frogs and small animals because they require a much smaller magnetic field. This is not science fiction it is real

  • XD poor frog, btw it should be fake, there are no levitating frogs, same as flying pigs! :D

  • @megvagyimmartizenyol nope your wrong this is real and won the 'ig' nobel prize look it up if you want.

  • Gravity Cat is not amused!

  • i like it.!!!!! the frog it doesnt get harm, as scientists say after the experiment the frog was ok and then happily join his fellow frogs in the biology department

  • @whiteheb ;-)) Thank you.

  • i know how u do this its that u put some really dence air and the frog is less dence then the air so it just hovers

  • @maddude37 Induce a powerful magnetic field.

  • Frog: "im a BUTTERFLY ALL ALONG!"

  • Aw man i'm subscribing this thing is awesome the frog was like "The moment you let me down i'm so gonna whip yo as*

  • Did the frog get harmed in this process?

  • @YourPokemonTrainer

    Yes it does get harmed.

    Very very badly.

Don't have any illusions. This is an animal being tortured for human amusement.

  • @gweijai Thank you for your comment. It makes me sad, that humans are so inhumane. All these comments here... They all make just fun of it. Nobody thinks about the frog. It's a shame! One should not do to others what he don't want to be done to him.

  • @YourPokemonTrainer levitate me anytime baby

  • @YourPokemonTrainer Actually, since the frog consists of over 70% water, when the magnetic field is applied, it's more like the frog is in zero gravity than being forcefully pulled up. Which means the frog is well and unharmed.

  • @YourPokemonTrainer l know it is a little late but l should tell you that l was only kidding, this levitating frog is unfortunately not being tortured and feels no pain. Sorry. lt might make you feel better to know that l used to make little paperweights by dropping small frogs into dixie cups and then pouring just mixed epoxy resin over them , which heated up and hardened before they even had time to suffocate so l am something of an expert on frog suffering.

  • @gweijai My only question is; Why aren't you in an insane asylum yet? The answer being; "a function of time".

  • "Wdf? Am i drunk? I think i should cut back on the vodka"

  • The frog was probably like "wtf is going on? o_O"

  • levitating shit :D

  • @FUNNzilla the water in the frog wants to go to a weaker magnetic field, it is diamagnetic

  • frog has been on iron rich diet

  • We did this in my Science class. Quite cruel, but looks awesome. The one time I pay attention in Science class, haha.

  • Something tells me this frog does not want to be here...btw how do we know that this was not shot in space? It just all sounds and looks a little fishy...

  • @FUNNzilla shut up you fish

  • @iminyourbasement Do you like fish dicks in your mouth?

  • @fuduzan5562 your a gay fish.

  • @iminyourbasement Actually, I hate fish (st/d)icks.

Also, it's spelled "You're". "your" is possessive. Stupid gay fish.

  • LOL i spelled the word "your" wrong!!! gasp!!! i did it again tehehe. and anyway you were wrong in the first place because fish dont have penise's as they are Oviparity. the female lays her eggs, and the male sprays his sperm on the eggs. butt im not a internet nazi like you so im not going to rub it in your face.

  • @iminyourbasement In the context of the first sentence of your most recent reply, "your" was spelled correctly, so you're wrong again. Also, fish aren't oviparity, as oviparity is not an adjective. On top of all that, I was repeating a well-known joke, which you obviously recognized (see your first response) and as such I can't be blamed for their ignorance of the mating rituals of fish. As for the Nazi comment, E-heil.

  • so its true what the muppets said. Kermit really was abducted for experimentation

  • it must be a strong magnet ;-)

  • It looks like fake. Cause it wasnt clear. xD

  • Frog: "How am i going to explain this to my wife"

  • can't a frog get a break

    sheeeeeeeet son

  • frog looks funny lol

  • hello ... has someone the blueprints for the part

  • Make electro magnet large as house and point the magnet force to a space of size

    5cm x 5cm

  • Comment removed

  • fault? or blessing?

  • Comment removed

  • Frog: "WTF is happening?!?!?!"

  • Frog: "....huuuh?....."

  • lol how about this..

Frog: "Damnit i hate being a guinea pig!"

  • @Azkadaz LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAA!!,Frog: "Or its just my imagination??"

  • Aw no. That's a bit cruel.

  • why?

  • I remember seeing this on some documentry show on tv.

  • Los magnetos tienen una pequeña repulsion contra los objetos organicos agua, ranas, etc, todo lo que se debiograde

  • It's not fake, the frog is slimy, not 3d.

  • ... and now the frog has cancer... hehe lol...

could someone have shoved a piece of metal inside the frog?

  • yea i agree the frog looks messed up

  • the frog looks like it is missing and arm and has a busted leg

  • that from musta been soo fuckign confused hahaha

  • the frog must've went WTF I BETTER NOT GET PROBED!

  • i heard the magnet damages the frog though, that sucks.

  • Thank you, your explanation of diamagnetism is very good. When I first saw a similar video on Modern Marvels it made my jaw drop. I wonder what this feels like to the frog, are the forces even throughout or does it feel like it is being pulled apart in any way?

  • they take a cylinder magnet that is hollow on the sides and hook it up to a super cunductor and fill the magnet with liquid nitrogen. Super bad ass

  • ive heard about these magnets. they're super strong magnets shaped into a cylinder. the reason why the frog is levitating is because everything has an electro-magnetic field, hince the "levitating"

  • At the end of it when the magnet warmed, did the frog drop?

  • Nope.

  • No dude... its really levetating. the frog is in a 9 tesla MRI research unit. Everything is made of atoms and they have positive and negative properties just like magnets. With a strong enough energy, anything can be affected by a magnetic field especially hydrogen cause its the simplest atom and its the most abundant in the body. just to give you an idea of how strong it is, most MRI scanners in hospitals are 1-3 tesla. but this one is much stronger cause its made for research.

  • p.s... thats why they filmed from a distance and zoomed in to get the image. It woulda messed the camera up real bad if the camera was close.

  • He is in The ISS !

  • I would love to know what that frog is thinking!

  • My guess would be, "Wtf. I'm a frog. Seriously. Wtf."

  • wtf? i thought living creatures had very weak magnetic induction how is this possible, or is the magnet that strong?

  • oh they put metals in teh frog?

  • Amagah, animal abuse.

  • Read the description.

  • i did, i just couldn't believe they had a magnet powerful in enough to lift objects using only dipole-or something-forces. But i've read about it somewhere else so now i'm convinced

  • I heard about a frog that was brought into the 0-g environment of near Earth orbit and it was observed to actually have gotten space sick in an extraordinary way - it regurgitated its entire stomach, inside out, out of its mouth, scraped the foot off of it with its front legs, and swallowed it again. Too bad we didn't get to see that here.

  • HAHAHAHA you know that frog is like WTF!!!!!!!!

  • that frog just PWNED david blaine.

  • i bet the frogs confused as fuck

  • lol i say this on history channel

  • me too!

  • it is also possible that the replacement of internal parts during mummification might've allowed for levitation of the mummified body...

  • How might the pyramids have done this? It would be related diamagnetic and paramagnetic properties of all living creatures and the stones used to build the pyramids. The hieroglyphics have images of floating priests.

  • skinboy8: You arrogant punk - do not pretend to know me. If you don't have anything worth saying, keep it to your self.

  • It's possible that the pyramids were capable of causing a small amount of levitation of humans.

  • lol

  • Otherwise there would be no gravity - diamaganetic or dianetic like the Scientlogy process? Could it be that Sciebntologists already knew this? After all, the guy was in the Army...

  • Lol, My second guess would be that they either did surgerey on the frog to get a magnectic field and then put a magnet in the container of water. Or it could have swallowed a magnetic force.

  • im surprised the MAGNETIC FIELD didn't destroy the frog like swoosh it into a tiny round ball. i mean this is like a black whole on earth ?

  • No, you're looking down into the bore of a very strong bitter solenoid. The frog is a diamagnet(as is any material that doesn't exhibit paramagnetism or ferromagnetism).

Diamagnetism is a weak opposition to externally applied fields. The induced magnetic field in the frog opposes the field of the bitter solenoid and it is pushed away.

The water(among other things) in the frogs tissues is diamagnetic, the external B field induces a weak magnetic field opposed to it,

  • I have read about moving grapes and cubes of watermelon with neodymium magnets. thankyou for uploading this.

Also i feel sorry for the frog...

  • nice ability but im not sure if its legit or hacked?

  • I don't care how it's done... That frog looks pretty pissed off to me

  • i wish they made a big one for humans

  • What?

  • English please. And check your logic, you just said the same thing twice. lol

  • well these dum ppl may need 2 read this thing twice jus 2 rememba a couple of words of it

  • 1st of all clam down and 2nd of all typing all CAPS make your ass torn a sunder. That means your a big Asshole.

  • my lecturer showed us this video.

you need to brush up on your molecular orbital theroy.

the frog will be mostly paramagnetic.

  • It's a little known, yet highly secretive fact, so as not to cause us to question our validity of the universe; but all animals can levitate if they choose to do so. They avoid doing so merely to not make us humans feel dumb when we stuff them in the middle of a superconductive magnetic field and make them spin around stupidly. They merely humour us and levitate of their own will.

  • witch .... WITCH!!!!

im gona tell my pastor on yew!!

  • hmmmm yer magnetic this magnetic that... i once found a magnet up my **** but i didnt levitate

  • Everything exhibits some factor of diamagnetism

  • lmfao!! he's like get me out of here

  • actually the frog levitates from its artury. i dont know how this works but i readd it online.

  • That frog will have cancer soon.

  • lol!

  • every piece of matter in the universe has at least a weak magnetic charge. even humans. thus, if an electromagnet is built thats powerful enough, it could levitate ANYTHING

  • thats funny... lol

  • thats crazy, how?

  • Frogs are mostly water, which can carry a weak magnetic charge. And it's in a magnetic tube.
