    Strategic Launch detected

    You just got pwned noob

  • Strategic Launch detected

  • @MageofDarkness1984 = game over

  • Fucking awesome music. greetings from Russia.

  • Epic and emotional. "Stricken along thousands of years. the UEF, Cybran and the Aeons locked in a never-ending war with no hope of victory". (Cybrans ftw ^_^)

  • stratigic bombers FTW

  • Very true, the UI and build commands are very smooth in Sup Com. That said, I find ariel combat's "circle until the other guy's dead with maybe shooting in between", shield stacking, rediculous level up bonus (peewees weren't 100% useless the moment you hit T2 in TA, but they did eventually stop being made, while that here you stop making T1 units basically the moment you hit T2, and so on for T3), and how damn powerful base defences were (TA artillery defences countered artillery units, etc)

  • 1) Go listen to the TA soundtrack if you like this music (total annihilation music). It's soule's on the predecessor to SupCom. The music was a lot better, probably best music in any game ever (though this music is good).

    2) SC2 is SC1 with like 5 new units. It's basically a 10 year old game with no advancement done to gaming, the game, or anything. Get over it, TA was better then, SC is nothing special now.

3)Supcom's story was great, but I couldn't get into the multiplayer. Experimentals = (

  • @GADefence (talking about Forged Alliance) The GUI improvements alone are a big step up from TA, as is the refreshing change from having to babysit construction queues\manual rebuilds to base templates and fully adjustable waypoints\build queues. That's only one aspect, I could explain the rest but the character limit makes it awkward.

  • If you think the Supreme Commander games lack tactical depth you're quite bluntly an ignorant moron.

  • @warguy58 dont forget strategic too. The games stresses a major difference in them lol the nuke dont lie >:)

  • @DaDeathProject Yeah, I couldn't imagine playing SC2 online cause of all the people that sit on their asses all day and play it.

  • @warguy58 SC2 online is insaine!!! They play it online like you play Star Craft. Skill respect and dont suck.

  • @DaDeathProject Why would you just assume I play Star Craft?

  • @warguy58 idk. :P i keep forgeting not everyone trys everything but it can still be taken in contex of thats how ppl act in game. :P

  • The music is epic, love the cybrans u gotta know. Sneak through the water undetected and they'll never know the microwave laser sweeping their ass

  • 1:31 Epic music starts btw.

  • I love this music. Best ever.

  • "Oh noo, squadrons of Monkeylords are approaching on our base. Defend it HURRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • It's a game....... and seriously if you make a point *cough TyriaelSoban stick to your point and don't go back on yourself when you know you are wrong admit it and for god sake move on :D remember we only live once :D

  • hopefully they make a supreme commander 3 with supcom1 style and bigger experimentals and a good physik engine, so that you can blow the whole fuck map up

  • Also you are gay if you think Sup Com (all games in general) are not good games.

  • I still dont know if 2 is better than 1/ FA

  • cyban!

  • 1 person lost an army of 40 monkey lords. :(

  • Follow behind me, together we will rise to victory! UEF all the way!

  • Jeremy Soule is a god. Check his other musics out like oblivion or baldur's gate or...

  • I don't know, for some reason SupCom2 seemed to lose the huge strategic depth the original SupCom had. IMHO it looked a lot like StarCraft (Can't say SC2 because Supreme Commander 2 and StarCraft 2 share the same acronym ;D) and I never like StarCraft because it was too micro-intensive.

I just enjoy the original SupCom + FA series immensely =)

And don't you dare get me started on Total Annihilation =D

  • @OverchargedTeslaCoil lol if you ask me, you can blame the xbox 360 for sup com 2's failure. most console gamers just want instant action and dont care for spending the time carefully planning your next attack. So there for, the game was simplified to your average RTS game, but with better graphics (after all they have to have something to show off in the trailer if they have ruined everything else.) And dont forget how crappy console hardware is, the 360 would fail at 1000 units per player.

  • @OverchargedTeslaCoil I thought it was great, and it wasn`t too badly nulled down. There was no difference in scale of battles, its just it was possible to do more damage with less units.

    The problem?

It is the buggiest game i ever played.

First launch on christmas day, neverending loading screen. 30 minutes later of searching for a solution to no avail and it works, and i complete the UEF campaign in one night flawlessly, then i lose all progress next morning.

    Then the load bug again.

  • @OfficialFearClan haha i got this i just ingore the campaign after re-installing twice. There is a file in the SupCom 2 folder you need to re-name for it to work just play online or skirmish ignore the campaigns.

  • @ViDeOMaStErPaUl Yeah campaing sucks

  • @ViDeOMaStErPaUl Yeah campaing sucks oh and game play too :(

  • Wow good times. I loved watching that trailer over and over waiting for supcom to come out. A great RTS. Although i think supcom 2 is not as good as Supcom FA

  • where can i download this?

  • Easily one the best pieces of music in a game.

  • Agreed although the opening to the fighting is good to the dun dun dun da dun dun dun If you can figure that out xD;

  • its a good game, but for me it lacked some of the things that Total Annihilation possessed.

  • such as?

  • @Zataku

supcom ive found genrally revolves around blunt zerging, which is kinda boring.

ill admit, it has some things TA didnt, like shields and supermassives for all sides, but it lacks tactical depth, and the games can be won too easily.

  • @TyriaelSoban

Lacks tactical depth?! Dude, you've got 3 kinds of defense turrets by default, tactical missile launchers, more kinds of artillery than a teenage girl has shoes, nukes, GIANT SURRENDER BOT super weapons, infinite range experimental artillery strikes, Orbital weaponry, radar, sonar, a plethora of robotic minions that can be mass produced, and a tank with 12 gauss cannons, AA guns, and a self-contained factory on its ass! Trust me. There's tactical depth there.

  • @Zataku

which ammounts to a huge slab of overkill if you use any one of them.

id rather have to think about my game instead of build the giant gun of doom.

    see my point?

  • @Zataku especially the factory part!

  • @Zataku You forgot the air repair pads and torpedoes\sonar.

  • @darthbandon10 ah yes. Unfortunately, I only have 500 characters to work with. FAR too few to accurately describe the variety of units and buildings in the game. And that's not even getting into the various mods that can be downloaded too. Bless you, Blackops mod team....

  • @Zataku No only that, this is the one game where you can use aircav tactics and true pinzer moves and if all fails the acu will go nuclear XD

  • @Zataku The fact is that Supreme Commander is much more about overall strategy, long-term plans, and itself is more comparable to chess than Starcraft 2. Even it pushed starcraft 2 somewhat towards macro: bigger queues, group-selecting buildings. And nothing beats the fact that the SCraft2 modding community actually made a supreme commander map/mod (which is pretty nice, although there are still buggy features), and another modder implemented something like The strategic zoom.

  • @Zataku Ah, so you've so you've also noticed that the Fatboy shits units out of it's ass. It's basically the best factory ever.

  • @Zataku

add to that Blackops and Total Mayhem and you got even more depth ;P

  • @Flakita3O5 I was about to punch you until I remembered which "Blackops" you were talking about.

Now I want to hug you.

  • TA was just about Vamp\Hawk spam and micro-ing late game - SC eliminated interceptors being able to attack ground units.

Unintelligently zerging lots of cheap tanks only works against unprepared opponents, same as in TA actually...weaker PDs yes, but SC has shields.

There's still the same need to go out and grab mass points, especially in Forged Alliance where mass fabricators have been nerfed substantially.

  • @TyriaelSoban Seriously, if you think Supreme Commander lacks tactical depth, you aren't playing Supreme Commander.

  • @ShamusZ3R0

wow, necrotrolling - seriously, my initial comment is over a year old.

regardless of what depth the game has or does not have, half of its never damn well used because the devs fucked its versatility - TA was still better because at least everything worked and could actually be used without being laughed at - dont get me wrong, i like alot of the concepts in supcom but if GPfail hadnt concentrated on making a pretty game and made a functional game (ie no sim lag) then it'd be better

  • @TyriaelSoban :o Calm down, it wasn't meant to be insulting or anything. The only reason there's any sim lag is because the Moho engine that SupCom uses is horrifically inefficient. And I certainly use everything available to me in the game. How have they fucked over the versatility?

  • @ShamusZ3R0

i never see people use t1 defenses, i rarely see anyone pull out non mobile t4, ive never seen anyone use t1 mAA units, torpedo defenses suck unless your a megalith, cooper is a sub killer but cant scratch the backside of a t1 sub, neptune is also a dedicated sub hunter and cant kill anything abouve a t1 sub.

and dont even get me started on how badly they raped supcom with sc2 ... if i wanted to play command and conquer id go pull my C&C Generals box back out of the attic.

  • @TyriaelSoban Seriously, what game are you playing? First of all, in ranked 1v1, T1 mobile AA has saved my arse several times from early bombers, and the same is true for point defence holding an area. Torpedo defences absolutely rape face, especially if you have 2 or 3, and the Cooper will annihilate a T1 sub. You aren't supposed to just build one of them and expect it to win you the game. And the Neptune isn't a sub-killer, it's a ship-killer. 2 or 3 will tear through T1 and 2 navy like paper.

  • @TyriaelSoban You don't have a clue what you're on about do you? First, the Neptune that I'm talking about is the UEF's T3 Battlecruiser. Just double-check that you're thinking of the right unit there. It has twin beam cannons that are ANTI-NAVY, not anti-sub. Second, Battleships are crap for naval warfare because they have such a slow rate of fire, and if your micro is good you can run rings around them with a handful of T2 destroyers because their turrets turn quite slowly, too.

  • @TyriaelSoban Second, again, check which unit you're calling the Cooper, because the Coopers that I use are UEF T2 torpedo boats which have over twice the DPS of a single T1 submarine for just under twice the cost. And on top of that, they have one of the fastest anti-torpedo systems in the whole game, which makes it survivability such that 1 Cooper can defeat 3 T1 submarines at once.

  • @ShamusZ3R0

well, i must of misread the cost of the cooper, but the t3 battle-cruiser still be beaten by a battleship - and if youve had a result otherwise, it was just luck, like i said - also pay attention TO THE OLD unit blurb for Neptune, it highlights the unit as a hybrid ship to ship and anti submarine unit, but lets not get hung up on particulars shall we?

  • @ShamusZ3R0

it cant hit half of the cybran navy, beams go through ships and do no damage at all, cant hit sera shipyards, if your microing into weapons range of a battleship with Neptune then you really need to find better ways to spend your time, that and its recharge time is woefully long for a "ship killer" i see them get raped so hard by t2 destros

but you know what man, i really dont give a fuck who the bigger nerd is, so im going to let you see what you want to see, you won, now piss off.

  • @TyriaelSoban The glitch where the beams miss ships is fixed in the community bugfix mod anyway. And I said microing with T2 navy, like destroyers, which are probably the best all-round naval units anyway. If a game reaches the point where Neptunes are even being used, there'll probably be 4 or 5 of them out at once anyway. Don't be rude. ;P

  • @ShamusZ3R0 so that's why my shards couldn't even take one out.

  • Best strategy game that i have ever boughed!!

  • 2:52

  • HELL YES

  • There was Aeon who untied with seraphim and aeon who united with UEF ... QAI also leaded the cybrans on Seraphim side . And the Cybrain father leaded the cybrans on the UEF side , thats why you fighting them !

  • Comment removed

  • QAI was a piece of seraphim tech, it was his plan all along to bring them back. There was a rogue Aeon commander trying to work with the seraphim, though never did actually ally with them.

  • @RoflTHEfox

no, it was originally cybran tech, but rebelled to join the Seraphim at the beginning of forged alliance.

  • Sorry but your wrong, one of the Cybran missions has you getting Seraphim tech to MAKE QAI, who was always intended to aid the Seraphim. basically the Cybran part of QAI is just an interface, the actual technology part was Seraphim all along.

  • @RoflTHEfox

I know that. its what I'm saying. Seraphim tech was used to make it, it rebelled against brackman, and thats that.

  • @RoflTHEfox

it was from seraphim tech, but mostly cybran and it rebelled when it knew the seraphim were coming.

  • @incinerator327 Oh ok, fair enough, but i'm saying that it didn't rebel, it was always intended to do that, just not by Brackman.

  • @incinerator327 thats true.

  • @incinerator327

QAI was both Cybran and Seraphim tech, even before Cybran mission 2 in SupCom. The reason he 'rebelled' was because the seraphim reprogrammed him. Able to do that because QAI was 'operating in the quantum realm'

    Sources:

    Official site

    Wikipedia

  • @RoflTHEfox Haha really late answer... but QAI was not a piece of seraphim tech? he was constructed by Brackman, and there were several aeon commanders that allied with the seraphim, but some of them switched back when Princess Rhianne Burke returned.

I hope you were talking about forged alliance? :)

  • @AscendedGam1ng He was constructed by Brackman from a piece of seraphim tech, that the player gets quite early on in the campaign if i remember correctly. I can't remember what my original comment was xD but i was probably talking about FA.

  • actually, ive heard cybran and UEF act as a team in the new game. Then i suppose its aeon and seriphim.

  • If you're talking about Forged Alliance, some Cybrans and some Aeons side with the Seraphim, the 'good' Cybrans and Aeons that remain team up with the entire UEF to fight the Seraphim. If you're talking about SupCom2, I don't have a clue. xP

  • yes, i am talking about supcom2

  • In Forged Alliance, the UEF, the Cybran, and the generals who are very loyal to the Princess side with the UEF. It follows the UEFs victory storyline (From the first one where they fire Black sun and force the Cybran and aeon to surrender). The firing of black sun creates a quantum rift and the Seraphim invasion begins. A majority of the aeon form a new group called the Order of the Illuminate, and worship the Seraphim, while the Princess and her Aeon fight against them with the UEF and Cybran.

  • Comment removed

  • Not true in the E3 Demo UEF was clearly Fighting both Aeon and Cybran.

    Seriphim was not featured

  • i saw that. but i heard somewhere else. a friend told me X.x

    he could be wrong.

  • As someone who has Forged Alliance...

You pick UEF or Aeon or Cybran for the entire campaign, and it is clearly shown all three had to unite to fight off the Seraphim invasion.

  • i havent played forged alliances buti do kw that all 3 factions team up to defeat the seriphim

  • Jeremy Soule is, well, a legendary composer.

  • yeah, he's about 3/4 as good as John Williams. and that is pretty damn good.

  • Well I dunno about 3/4's, listen to Azurik, or TA, and man, I'll let you be the judge of how good he is.

  • My favorite theme, if theres a word to describe this it would be godly

  • This piece of music is a work of art. I get goosebumps every time.

  • Brilliant song, would do any film justice

  • I got goosebumps 2 :D

  • Amazing

  • I remember playing the final mission of the UEF campaign, when both the Cybrans and the Aeon hit your base with everything they've got. Artillery guns are going off, aircraft are filling the sky, and in the chaos my assistant commander gets taken down. And then, right at 2:53 of the song, right before she explodes, she desperately pleads at me:

    "Save Earth!"

I still get goosebumps from it.

  • I've got goosebumps when I saw you writing. Totally overwelming!

  • i get goosebumps just listing to this song ;P

  • Me too ^^

  • @DarkNova50 Then you must be the chosen 1.....The savior of Planet Earth.I am in your dept when i`m using this computer.

  • @DarkNova50 EPICEST DEATH SCENE EVAAAAAAAAAAR!!!! *Explodes*

  • @DarkNova50 I wish i could of completed it, but my computer needed a reformat when i saved halfway through the mission. I always thought that the UEF was underpowered though. The fatboy didn`t appeal to me like the monkeylord or CZAR did. The aircraft carrier was meh and the artillery i never really tried.

  • @OfficialFearClan UEF has the most powerful experimentals and has the most power naval unit in the game and the best Artillery.

Try making a line of fatboys to block of an area and pump out AA tanks Missile launchers and Armoured seige bots to protect them and you have an army within minute and your fatboys will dish out damage like a hot knife through butter

  • @ViDeOMaStErPaUl

true fatboys are really heavy, played a game, enemie had 5-6 fatboys, i had more than 10 cybran exp. and he destroyed all of them

  • @PhonierDeluxe not that fatboys have much health, they have naval tier weapons mounted on them, so they hit for a fuckton of damage

  • ultddave can u send this song to my email? message me and i will give u the email info!

Can anybody get me a free download for this song?

  • I like the SC menu music best, even though its only a 1 minute loop, just seems epic and perfect for the game.
